Properties by Landmark was formed in 1986 by founder Ann Cline, and has remained one of the prominent property management companies in the Sequim area. Designated Broker/Owner Janet Stevenson purchased the business from Ann shortly after and ever since, she has worked diligently to serve her owners and tenants.

Rude, incompetent service. I am astounded. As a landlord for 20+ yrs, I do not expect my vendors to be double-paid, as well as not paid at all. Landmark didn't even put sign in front of my rental, and posted WRONG PICS online. Poor follow through with their "handyman" (owner's husband)- could not get repair work scheduled ("too busy" for me). Rental assistant (daughter of owner) inexplicably entitled- beyond rude- can provide samples of her emails to me. I even got mailed ANOTHER OWNERS CONFIDENTIAL INFO BY MISTAKE. I mean, What???! We rented a mother-in-law type apartment that adjoined a VRBO on the Puget Sound at Diamond Point. This building was built in the early 60's and the carpet was well worn along with most other big ticket items. It was obvious the owners did not wish to put any money into the apartment, but they made sure the VRBO was nicely appointed. The owners wanted us to be their personal gardeners while we paid a sizeable rent each month. We move out after 16 months with the unit in better condition than when we moved in. Out of $1500 deposit we received a $21 check. We took Landmark to Small Claims Court

From start to finish, working with LandmarkPM has been very smooth. They were accommodating in working long distance for our initial application. The property was clean and in good repair when my family moved in to the property and it was as described. When an appliance had its gremlins, they had repair techs out to fix it, and always in a timely fashion. No long delays.
When we stop renting, the process was without any hidden hitches or fees. All the hard work my wife put in to the final cleaning was recognized.

I have been renting with Landmark for over 17 years. Greg and Heidi are the best, they always were. Prior to the couple taking over the business, Linda, Greg's mother owned it. I had the same experience with her. They always answer my calls or emails, they have an awesome front desk person. If you are a good renter, they are more than helpful and respectful. I have never had such a good experience with a property management company

We've been in the Sequim area for two months looking to buy 1) a home and 2) a couple of rental properties. We needed a place to rent while looking and called Landmark about a place we found on their website. Saturday afternoon, we drove by, saw the place, wanted to rent it immediately and called for a showing. No response. Called again Sunday afternoon. No response. Called Monday. No response (only voice mail available each time). By noon on Tuesday we had not had a call back so we called again and the girl said she was so busy she hadn't yet gotten to us. We have had the pleasure of finally dealing with a professional agency ...our concerns upon renting a much older home were quickly addressed and dealt with in a friendly and competent manner. We have been extremely pleased with Landmark. They have managed our property for the last 12 years and the only reason we are leaving is because we are selling our home.
They do an excellent job of screening tenants. Our property has been tenant occupied all but 4 months of the last 12 years and we have had no tenant issues.
They are responsive when we need maintenance or repairs and will help us get the work completed at a reasonable rate.
We have enjoyed working with Heidi and Greg and their staff. We would not hesitate to use them again.

The only reason I am not giving this company one star is for their awesome receptionists, however, their hard work does not make up for the lack of professionalism I received from their coworkers. The particular employee in charge of my account, James, does not answer phone calls and might send you an email regarding your situation but that's more likely to happen if you email him first. I was left in the dark most of the time and when I finally thought my account was progressing, I was told that I no longer had a deposit because the apartment I applied to would be under the care of a different

After repeated calls & messages left over a two week period about a home on their web site we gave up. No returned calls. I would hate to have my home listed by them.
We have since heard that they have a terrible reputation, most decent properties are left on their site for months even though no longer available. Most of their properties are run down not maintained.
Local, very successful Realtor told us they are the worst !

Although when we first started renting from Landmark my room mate and I were nervous because of a few bad reviews and inability to get a hold of staff, I feel much better today. I filed a maintenance request last month to replace my window. Not only did they replace my window they also replaced my room mates window. The window looks good and no air or moisture can get through. It is a relief to have a response, but they really went above and beyond my hopes. For those who do have difficulty getting ahold of staff I would recommend going through property managers first.

I had a contract with the Sequim office of Landmark Property Management for nearly 3 years. I live out of state and needed someone local to manage my property. My property manager always took several days to get back to me when I called her and it always made me feel as if my business was unimportant. Additionally, when I reviewed bids and would make a few calls, I was always able to find lower bids myself which made me think there might be an "arrangement" with people she knew.
