Our moving in went well. The leasing office staff have been always so nice with our inquiries. Our experience would have been better if the apartment repair team could have used a more cordial and respectful approach when coming to our place. They wear shoes into the home even though we asked them to take them off.
Overal, the apartment is nice. We can't hear other neighbors and crazy noise coming from the street.

Update 11/26/21 - Over the course of living here, I’ve found over a dozen random nails in the carpet. Not really sure how that is safe or overlooked during the cleaning process. If you have kids (we don’t), I would not recommend based on that alone. One additional thing to note is that maintenance does enter on occasion when you may / may not be home in order to replace the air filter and inspect sprinklers. Not sure how I feel about that from the security standpoint. Fire alarm has gone off a few times during the day, with one occasion being longer than 30mins. With these developments in mind

I lived here for over 2 years in two different units. Long story short I wouldn’t live here again
Beware if moving into the basement level, it floods (by consequence of design) and we had maintenance in our apartment every month for the first 6 months to fix the same leak issue in the bathroom. After I saw mold, from the leaks, we were moved into a new unit.
Customer service is meh. Monica was an AMAZING leasing agent but she unfortunately left. Once Skippy joined the staff things continued to go further downhill.
The apartments are “nice,” clubhouse was nice, and the location was great

Booked a tour through their website and received an email confirmation. We arrived at our scheduled time. Felt very unwelcome by John and was considered a “walk in”. We toured six other apartment buildings in the area, average tour was an hour and a half to almost two hours. Oberlin Court tour was maybe about thirty minutes. Very underwhelmed by staff. Thanks, but no thanks.

Most of the folks in the front office are incredibly rude, especially John “Skippy” Abrams. Over the course of two years we almost never called down to the front office to ask questions, but every single time we did John had an attitude. We’ve put up with so much nonsense from the staff of Oberlin Court it’s ridiculous. They gouged us for over $200 because we gave them 55 days notice that we would be moving out instead of 60. They caused the power to go out for half the building (and blamed it on Duke Energy) so we were forced to stay in a hotel for over a month. They didn’t alter the

Location-Location-Location, at a reasonable price. Oberlin Court Apartments has it all. Staff is awesome and very accommodating. If I did not buy a house I would still be living there. Would recommend to anyone looking to rent in the area.

Oberlin is a great place to live for a young professional. It’s close to downtown and very affordable. Overall, I enjoyed living there. However, from time to time things would break in the apartment.
Our A/C unit broke 3-4 times during a 12 month period. Maintenance came out in a timely manner but it started to get annoying when it felt like they were just putting a band aid on it.
Cockroaches were also a problem but we had apartment call pest control and that helped a great bit. Probably recommend pest control coming once a year.

Oberlin court has provided a wonderful experience over the 2 years living hear.
Property Management - All the property mangers are extremely friendly and happy to help. They react immediately to maintenance emergencies and inquires. One of the property managers I've worked with often is Rabella often and she's always been accommodating and a delight to work with.
Maintenance - The maintenance team is quick and respond quickly for maintenance requests and emergency requests during off-hours. They perform a quality job and give a detailed description of why a particular issue occurred and how they

If you are:
Young

(and preferably attractive??)
You should live here.

Am I just trying to set myself up for better odds of having a hunny by holiday season 2019?? Who's to say. Read more to make your judgment.

Right out of college I moved here with 0.0 friends and a desire to make at least one. Raleigh, as it turns out, is a great place for that. Cameron Village, more specifically, sets you up for great success on the friend front. It's a perfect location, and Oberlin Court is the best option for a young chap like

One of my best friends lives at Oberlin Court and has for a while. She has such a beautiful apartment that is close to everything, pet friendly and has been happy here for a while. So, when it came time to move, it was an easy choice to pick Oberlin Court! I have a spacious apartment with huge bathtub (which are not easy to find), nice courtyard/ fountain view, great pool/grilling area (but just like anywhere, I go early!), the entire community is really well maintained and... they have an incredible Business Center/Lounge area with 2 conference rooms which I LOVE because I work remotely! My husband and I have lived at Oberlin Court for almost 3 years now, and we have absolutely loved it. The apartments are clean, spacious, quiet, and have very well-constructed layouts. We have loved being so close to downtown and Cameron Village, all at a very affordable cost. There are tons of perks to living here: valet trash, special events and functions, a great pool and gym, friendly neighbors, quick and responsive maintenance workers, and an exceptional management team. Leasing office is open 7 days a week, so you can always grab a package or run in and ask a question at a time that&apos

I lived her for a year...
Things break a lot. before I was a month in my dishwasher and AC unit both broke. They are quick at fixing them, but when things constantly break it can get old.
Cockroach issues... My Girlfriend worked at a pest control company so we sprayed constantly and it didn't even put a dent in it.
It's loud, A LOT of drunk college students make noise at all hours....
If you decide to go to the pool, don't lose your pass, it's $50 to replace it. The reasoning is to keep the college age residents from having too many guests. Which speaks to the issues they have with their younger

There are many aspects of living here that I absolutely love and a few that really need improvement. Still, the very good things about this complex outweigh the bad so I'm still going to go with four stars.

The good: the office staff is great-extremely friendly and helpful. Food trucks come to the complex one day a week and that's pretty much the best amenity ever. The apartments are gorgeous and the courtyard is even prettier. I never hear my neighbors so the walls must be pretty thick. The neighborhood is one of the best in Raleigh and there are stores, restaurants and a few bars you

I've lived here about two months now and I have mixed feelings. Firstly, the office staff is very nice and helpful and very willing to accommodate to an extent. I work full-time and sometimes don't have time to pick up a package during the week and if I just let them know, someone is usually able to bring it up to my apartment for me. I also really love the trash valet. It's super convenient. The walls seems to be pretty thick as I never really hear my neighbors, but they also just might be quiet. I also feel fairly safe living here, despite the fact that it is pretty inconvenient

OBERLIN Court has been my home for NINE years, I love it . The apartments are beautiful. I couldn't live in a better area for the best of Raleigh, museums, universities,Cameron Village, library and close to downtown activies.

Best of all we have a Five Star office staff that are very accessable, interested and friendly.
The maintence crew are very efficient and polite. I have had few problems but when I do they are addressed rightaway. It brightens my day to see our staff.

OBERLIN Court has wonderful amenities , lovely pool, court yard with cooking

Wow, this place is a palace. Beautiful apartments, great maintenance staff and friendly front office. It's a little on the pricey side but worth every penny.

A few things to consider...

1) I have Verizon and have had no issues with service but I've heard people with other providers have had problems getting service.

2) You have to get your cable with the evilest company in the country: Time Warner Cable. They treat you like garbage because they know you have no other option in the area, so prepare yourself.

3) They have really stepped up security here. I've been stopped by security

Oberlin Court looks like a nice place on the outside, but here is the truth of my experience.

Once moved in I realized the apartment had carpet beetles within a few days. The staff offered me to have the carpets steam cleaned, but they never went away.

The metal gates, which never lock and if they do you can get into them by unscrewing a bolt, slam all day and all night which initially woke me up thinking they were gunshots.

Maintenance was very unprofessional. I had my shower drain cleared once because my bathtub would not drain. I came home to a toilet with hair and drain sludge sitting

Ok, so 6 months in, some changes have been made, and I think it's important to make note of the improvements... and even some things that are still lacking.

We moved to a higher floor apartment, and now have cell phone service, so I guess a tip would be unless you're willing to get a land line, go for the apartments that are on the 4th or 5th floor, stay away from floors 1 or 2. (The non-ground floor apartment also means no more worms when it rains, so that's a plus)

We haven't heard about any more breakins (I hope I'm not jinxing anything by throwing that out there

I have been living here for almost a year now- my experience started off very well with friendly staff, great maintenance, quiet neighbors, etc. However, over the past few months my satisfaction has greatly decreased as staff have been less helpful, maintenance requests not being fulfilled or completely forgotten, incredibly noisy upstairs neighbors that staff has done nothing about, etc. To top it all off, we just got notified that if we choose to renew our lease, our monthly rent will be increased by almost 20%! This is completely unbelievable and unwarranted as they will be adding no more amenities

So far, so good... Been living here for a while and like it's location for sure, price is a little steep, and I think I'm going to look for something to buy for less a month, but living here has been helpful while I get acclimated to Raleigh. I definitely recommend living here. No problems, very safe.

I've lived here for about 4 months and have yet to find something to complain about. Maintenance arrives within the hour, neighbors are friendly, halls are maintained and everything stays clean. The pool and outside areas are gorgeous. Have only noticed a distinctly collegey vibe once when State first started up. Since then, things have been fairly quiet. The convenience factor is amazing- dry cleaning, food and most importantly CUPCAKES, are mere minutes away. NC State, Cameron Village and the 5 Points area are just a bicycle ride from here. Its a great place to live in a central location
