Living at the Marque is and has been a grand experience. Let's start with the building and grounds. Management has kept the building in a like-new condition with power washing and painting and the occasional needed repair. The grounds are beautifully and tastefully maintained with professional landscapers. The apartments are spacious, bright, and well appointed. And then there the well maintained, up-to-date amenities such as the lounge, library, and cafe with gas fireplaces, game room, craft room, outdoor swimming pool, courtyard with seating and firepit; it's all just special! And the residents

This place never answers their phone. Try 10 times and you might get lucky.

Is this a bank foreclosure ? This is unlike any Van Metre business approach I've seen in the past 40 years.
UPDATE: After 5 days and this review, I received a phone call. Read more below. But . . . he blamed my phone for their failure to conduct business in a professional manner. These people would have no respect for you.

Terrible front office. Never following up on the application. I had to basically fill out an application twice cause they lose the first paperwork. You have to constantly call them back to get answers. The staff are not in synch. One staff tells you one thing then the next staff has no idea about the situation. There was a minor misunderstanding on my application from a few years ago and they were not even willing to call my previous landlord to get a rental verification. They have no costumer service or any personality! Might as well hire robots.

Centrally located off Hwy 29 on Heathcote Blvd. I stayed one week with my sister. The complex is safe, the grounds are nice and as close as it was to Hwy 29 we enjoyed peace and quiet. If I loved in the area I too would live here!

Nice community, close to shopping, highways, hiking trails and biking trails, horse trails, dog friendly, close to local battlefields, near wineries for some wine tasting, not far from breweries if you like that, 45 minutes from Dulles airport.

I live here as a single parent and I have no plans to look elsewhere. The location is prime; right at 29, 66, and Linton Hall. The few times I have needed maintenance, they were prompt and fixed the issues right away! I really appreciate the amenities (even though we don't use them all). The swimming pool is very clean in the summer and there's always a life guard on duty. The grounds are very well maintained and beautiful in the spring/summer! My kid had a bunch of others over for a sleepover birthday party and the theater room was a huge hit! Sometimes it smells a little weird in the halls, in

Webster defines CELEBRATE as to acknowledge a significant day or happy occasion.
Feb 1st this year marks the second anniversary of my time at the Marque. I had moved and lived all over the world for 33 years with my husband and our family. Once he retired from the Army we lived for 30 years in Culpeper VA. My move alone from a 5 bedroom brick colonial house on 3 acres of property was by far the hardest transition of all of our relocations. Ironically this move has turned out to be the best choice I could have made. The friends I have made and the times we share are “priceless”.
I can be alone

I have lived at the Marque for 2.5 years and really enjoy being here. It is my first apartment in over 50 years. There is a real sense of community here which I wouldn't trade for anything else! There are many activities going on if one should choose to participate in activities and one doesn't have to leave the building. The office staff has always been friendly to me, and maintenance is quick to address any problems.

I don't know where these reviewers live at, but this does not describe the 'Marque' in Gainesville. The first week we lived here we found out there fire alarm and sprinkler system was out of code and the Gainesville Fire and Public Safety department cited. They've had contractors raising hell in the ceiling attack space for over three months. The contractors are sorry....they don't give a damn about any residents, throwing heavy equipment around, stomping on the ceiling, and the owners and management just lie about it. I was told they would be finished by midApril and they're still stomping and
