Chef Johnson discovered his passion for food at an early age in his hometown of Chicago. His family's frequent travels cultivated this love of food through the inspiration of different cultures and flavors. After moving to Lexington, Kentucky, Johnson honed his passion for the craft by preparing family meals while his parents were at work.

My husband and I went early before he played music there Saturday night to have dinner and he was blown away with the blackened catfish and my salmon was superb! Hats off to the owners Laura and Don. Step back in history at this restaurant in General John Payne's historic home! Outstanding food and a great atmosphere.

Amazing food and great service. Lovely patio as well as indoor seating and the bar area has a fun atmosphere, especially on game days.

Great food at this country club dining room. It is open to the public and has comfort food, appetizers, fun drinks, and deserts.

Although the service was good and we appreciate them letting us have our meeting there I was disappointed in my chicken tenders wrap. It did not have a nice piece of chicken only small hard pieces. Also would add a club sandwich to your menu?

Made reservations, planned a 25 person event. Spoke with owner about it and we agreed on time and date with a singer. When I called back to reserve she was gone for the night, called back she was out of town both time i asked the managers to go ahead and write me down for the event that said you are good to go! Talk with the owner today that just got back yesterday and she tells me nothing is on the book and she never heard from me. Complete b.s and now our entire birthday party is ruined. Please book your party somewhere else.

Great location and decent little bar... Good beer prices for UK basketball and football games ...food so so ( catfish is a good pick, always pretty good!! ) and small kegs blow too much so don't be attached to a certain beer... Old historical building is pretty nice

Deceptive pricing. Ordered the fish and chips. Menu says it's comes with 2 a la carte sides, so ordered 2 sides. Presented with a bill that include 2 charges for a la carte sides. Spoke with server who stated the entrees in that section do come with 2 sides....Except the fish and chips because the listed chips, slaw, and hush puppies are the sides. No upfront warning when ordering and wasn't willing to remove the charges. Rip off.
