Services
As a registered yoga teacher with Yoga Alliance, and a Certified Yoga Therapist with International Association of Yoga Therapists, I take great pride in the services I am able to offer each one of my clients. Because I have extensive training in teaching yoga, yoga therapy, meditation, and the philosophy of yoga, I believe that I have much more to offer than just an exercise regimen - rather a holistic approach for the body, mind, and spirit.
If you have ever enjoyed the fragrance of a flower, you've experienced the aromatic qualities of essential oils. These aromatic compounds are found in nature in all parts of trees, flowers, and plants. Their fragrance can be exquisite and robust, or delicate and subtle.

In addition to their intrinsic benefits to plants and their beautiful fragrance to people, essential oils have long been used therapeutically and medicinally to assist in your emotional, physical and spiritual healing. At Kula Yoga Therapy, we use a therapeutic grade of essential oil that may be incorporated into your yoga therapy session upon request, or we may recommend it if we believe it can help you.
You may know what therapy implies, but what exactly is yoga therapy? As with any type of therapy, if you are seeking treatment, what you are really seeking is the help and/or relief from some sort of dysfunction; therapeutic yoga will help to target that dysfunction whether it's stemming from body or mind.
Interested in therapeutic yoga in West Hartford? Learn more here about why yoga therapy might be the solution you need for pain management, trauma therapy, and more. At Kula Yoga Therapy, our goal is much deeper than just a physical practice. Much like physical therapy, there is a goal to help you find ways to heal the body.
Many people retain stress and anxiety throughout their lives, and although it may not present itself all at once, the pain and discomfort you feel in your body can be directly related to this. We have the ability to respond to any situation, oftentimes reacting with stress; when stress is presented, our bodies create an unhealthy state in our beings.

I have gone to Julie Miller for both private yoga therapy and group yoga classes. Julie provides spiritual connections to her extensive knowledge of the human anatomy, proper alignment and Sanskrit, offering so much to all who see her. Each and every time I go to Julie at Kula Yoga Therapy, either privately or in the group class setting, I leave feeling better physically, emotionally and spiritually.

Julie is a truly amazing yoga therapist. She offers so much more than just yoga poses. She has the ability to recognize how emotional issues affect how we hold our bodies and is able to help open blocked places in our emotions and our bodies. Truly an amazing experience!!
