Location is great. Very convenient to Downtown Silver Spring. Building management and leasing staff lack communication and follow through. Elevators are always broken, something in the building was always needing repair. Lots of basics were missed. It feels like staff/management need a training course or 101 in customer service and how to manage a "luxury" building.

The community is very nice. The building really works hard to keep the building up and cleanliness in all places are good. They do community events such as food trucks, holiday parties and Hello Alfred is greatly appreciated. There are some issues but what apartment building doesn’t? I am greatly considering renewing my lease.

Don't move here - Don't do it!
The Cameron Apartments are nice but the rental staff are clueless and have no desired to assist you with addressing the simplest issues. I moved in 4 months ago and had Internet installed by an Internet provider. At the time of installation the battery backup and router used to distribute the signal (which is in my closet in my apartment was beeping for replacement). It beeps once every 3 hours. I alerted the tech -who said the router belongs to the apartment complex as he was installing A FIOS modem for me, and that the apartment complex would need to call the ISP

Would not recommend trying to lease here. I called the leasing office after seeing a price listed on their website for Unit A5 at $1812/m. The leasing agent told me that was the advertised price but that the advertised price was not available and rathe prices changed on a daily basis. I said I understood but wondered if there was someone in the management office who would honor the price. She said no there wasn't. Very strange and off-putting experience -- with over 50 vacancies you'd think they'd be willing to at least talk about honoring the advertised price?

Unfortunately, I have to downgrade the Cameron from a 3 star to a 2 star. I have had 3 new washer and dryers replaced over the past year and the dryer still does not dry my clothes completely. This replacement dryer is brand new and I have to have my clothes go through 3 dryer cycles in order for my clothes to dry. It takes pretty much 3 hours to dry one load of clothes. Not only is this time consuming and inconvenient, it is causing me to use more electricity than necessary! Maintenance has informed me that corporate is aware of my dryer issue; yet, the Cameron has no permanent fix for resolving

The Cameron is a great place to call home. I lived here in 2011-2013. I returned to Minneapolis for 5 years. When I new that I was returning to Maryland, I knew exactly where I wanted to live: The Cameron.

I loved living in this building. They were intended to be condos so everything is top notch and it is well-priced. There were some hiccups here and there, but they were handled quickly. I had a one bedroom, with a den, two full baths, walk-in closet and the master bath had a separate tub, his and her sinks, marble counters, etc. While the redline is not always the most reliable, the building is an easy walk to the redline. It is also right downtown, steps away from bars and restaurants. Honestly, if these were condos, I would have purchased my unit.

I am a current resident at the Cameron and have been living here for about a year. My mother frequently comes to visit me and parks overnight in the parking garage, and we usually do not have any problems until 10/16/2019. We filled out the necessary paperwork for her to receive the temporary overnight parking pass that would end 10/17/2019 at… midnight, however her car was illegally towed 4 hours later claiming the pass had expire even though the I and apartment’s concierge have proof that this was false. We tried contacting the tow company and they will not release the car unless

I want to use this opportunity to commend Jasmine for her due diligence to duty. The fire alarm has been activated twice in the last two months and Jasmine has been seen running downstairs on each occasion. Not only to find out what was going on, but stayed with the fire department personnel until everything was calmed down. She could have just walked out as instructed, like everyone did and waited for instructions to get back in the building. Instead, she chose to stay the course, on her day off, to make sure the residents were all ok. Jasmine, I applaud and thank you for your dedication and

Overall: Don't waste your time living here, you will be wasting your money. The management sucks so bad and the concierge staff is rude.
PROS: Apartment size proportions are nice. The kitchen has nice marble counter tops, decent appliances, and good size. Bathroom lighting + mirror are great.
CONS: The hardwood floors are so cheap I literally have to sweep/dust every single day. I'm still trying to find the "luxury" amenities they advertise. I've lived here since December 2018 and can't count how many times the elevators have been broken. Someone broke a light

I have lived at the Cameron for 3 years and it has gone downhill. First, let me say that the apartments themselves are great. The apartments are well proportioned and have nice flooring. The kitchen is a good size with marble counter tops and adequate appliances. That's about all nice that I have to say about this place.
Some Cameron history. When I started renting here, the Cameron was owned by Monogram Apartment Collection. They advertised as a luxury apartment complex and they more or less delivered on it. They had friendly staff who would always greet you, were quick to resolve any building

Thank God we're getting another Management Company, this Manager here is horrible and defensive. There's no need in calling Monogram because you're blocked by his manager *Demarcus Hubbard) You'll never get to the VIP or better. They put this guy in this bldg to get rid of people of needs,I thank God for the Dept of Justice. This guy has demonstrated nothing but horror towards some residents in here. I've contact Greystar already in reference to his unethical tactics. Poor Rachel she stepped into a mess. This guy talks to man like you're a child and his body language

Update! Our Director approved a transfer to another unit bc I was concerned about a possible flood in the future. I now understand our community is going through a lot of changes with a merge and at the time a shortage with the maintenance team. It's not easy taking care of the demands of this large community. I give the Director, office team and maintenance a big thumbs up bc they're doing their absolute best to keep the current and future residents satisfied.

So excited to be in this building! I recently moved in and it has been a great experience thus far, not to mention, I LOVE my view of Downtown Silver Spring The residents are really personable, the staff are helpful and the building is well maintained (the lobby always smells amazing!! No clue what they use lol) From speaking with my neighbor's, I heard the building hosts great resident events. Looking forward to attending the next one :) DTSS is a great area, and I'm happy to call it and The Cameron my new home.

I visited a friend in the building. The lobby smelled and looked very clean. The building seems well maintained. The rents are competitive. The parking garage is awkward and cramped but they have guest spaces. The location is perfect for downtown Silver Spring, the movies or The Filmore. There are lots of restaurants and shops within walking distance.

I've lived here for almost a year and love it. The Cameron's location is the best of both worlds - city-like access and typical suburban amenities. Downtown Silver Spring offers easy access to public transportation and a short walk to restaurants, Whole Foods or the theater - with plenty of parking and nearby highway access. Built in 2010, the building is well-maintained, with a terrific staff, from the building manager to the helpful front desk to the efficient and prompt maintenance team. Fellow residents generally seem pleasant, and it is definitely a dog-friendly community.
