Our 90 minute classes teach each student how to improve Balance, Flexibility and Strength. By use of the principles of traction coupled with relaxation, specialized props facilitate realignment and energy flow. The dramatic necessity for change in the world has created crises at all levels of humanity and with the environment.

My students tell me this all the time. They telll me that the yoga we practice is unlike that taught elsewhere in our area because of the individual attention paid to each student.

Identifying which yoga poses specifically address chronic ailments such as the onset of osteoarthritis, hypertension, cardiopulmonary diseases, glucose metabolism, interrupted sleep cycles, etc. Very Near Yoga Studio classes are held in a quiet, intimate space. Classes are no larger than 8 students.
The dedicated space of our studio is on the ground floor at the rear of the building. It is a quiet, intimate space that allows for 8 students per class. We have natural light, greenery and blue sky views for a harmonious experience. Often you can hear the birds singing and the sound of wind chimes during your relaxation period.

Kathleen is an amazing yoga teacher. I have been going for lessons to help me with my lower back pain. The lessons are wonderful. She has helped me isolate potential issues that I need to work on and has been helping me build my own home practice. She is very enthusiastic, kind and precise and that has been tremendously helpful.

I have practiced Iyengar-style yoga with Kathleen for over 30 years. 1/17/2020 Recently I had a private lesson with Kathleen that addressed some long-standing stiffness and tightness issues in my shoulder. The yoga postures we worked through really helped and also provided me with tools to maintain the improvements. Thanks, Kathleen

Kathleen Wright, In addition to teaching Iyengar yoga in her studio, also teaches a Friday morning class through the Newark Parks and Recreation at the George Wilson Center in Newark, DE. I have attended these classes for several years and I continue to learn and to be challenged - in EVERY single class! Kathleen focuses on proper alignment in all poses, often using props such as blocks, chairs, belts and of course walls and the floor. No two classes are the same, and she obviously puts significant time into planning each lesson. It is also obvious that she cares about each individual's understanding

Kathleen understands sequencing, the important details to build in each pose, and she communicates clearly. The studio is clean, comfortable, and always warm enough.
