We’ve been displaced from our actual home due to fire and had to rent during the rebuilding process…The same piece of siding has been flapping in the wind for months now. We’ve contacted several times but there’s “not staff to fix it”. The rent is more than my mortgage and I have 1/4 of the yard and one less bedroom. Highly recommend living in your parents’ basement over renting from Skaff.

Skaff apartments was an amazing rental property to work with! They have been one of the few places that were willing to let me rent with them knowing that i have a criminal record. They are super friendly and just all around very good people and their places are super nice! Rent is very affordable no matter how many bedrooms or the size of the place you are looking for. I would highly recommend them to anyone! Thank you Skaff Apartments for being who you are and being willing to take a chance on me and giving people in the community a second chance when A LOT of places are not willing to do that

I moved in this month to a property in Moorhead. It’s an older building, but almost new with all of the updates. The staff are kind and timely in the office. All of the ladies were kind and prompt. Most rental companies after you sign a lease they don’t answer or give you the run around but I haven’t had that issue with Skaff. They have kept their word and are responsive and solution orientated with anything that has popped up. Maintenance has been very timely with emergency needs and has communicated reasons for delay on cosmetic needs- which is nice! Everyone has been friendly. Best experience

My dishwasher was a little old. Ask maintenance to fix it and he said let’s just see if we can get you a new one and they did! I’ve had some nasty landlords with attitude and like to ignore there tenants! Definitely, appreciate that it doesn’t happen with staff.

TERRIBLE! 0 STARS, would give negative stars if possible. The buildings are decent, but constantly have issues. I had my sink back up without doing anything wrong to it. Had water pouring out of my bathroom ceiling, washer left clothes smelling terrible, and dishwasher got dishes dirtier than they started out, leaving a film on everything. The fire alarms out in the main hallway also went off once a week for some reason. I only lived there for 2 months and all this happened in that period. On top of that they will lie to you about getting your deposit back because you left it in perfect condition

I am currently 5 months into a 6 months lease with Skaff Apartment. For the most part the apartments are not bad. I've given them 2 stars because of secondhand smoke exposure despite "smoke-free" clause in the lease and building not being a true access controlled building (as brought up below).
One recurring issue that I've been encountering is cigarette smoke coming into my unit. I have emailed the management several times about it and they keep telling me that they are taking steps. It's been 4-5 months now since I made the initial contact and has emailed several times

We rented a town home from this company in Moorhead, MN and lived there for over two years. Although our rent was always paid according to the terms of our lease and we abided by all of their rules and regulations they failed as landlords! Whenever we needed a repair they took days to respond and sometimes even weeks! We moved in Dec of 2011 and had been without a properly function furnace fan since Oct of 2011 even though we called them numerous times!
