My wife and I signed a 15 months lease in a hurry to get in somewhere last year. We have since moved out after our lease because of a new job. Comparing this new place to there, brookdale might not be as new. But it was very quiet and the management was absolutely amazing. Anytime I emailed them they made sure to get right back. They always gave ample notice if they needed to do any maintenance on the apartment. All in all a great place to live. Honestly, my wife and I were just talking about how we miss how quiet it was there.

My boyfriend and I LOVE it here! Quiet, 3 blocks from downtown and well maintained outside. The snow removal this year has been FAB, and just now I watched a staff member collecting trash in the parking lot!
Stephanie in the office has been a queen since day one- very impressed!
Side notes:
We were a little disappointed at move-in, because it was very obvious our carpets had not been cleaned, just vacuumed. After talking to management, they offered to make it right.
I hope in the future the internal stairs and halls are vacuumed more frequently (we have a busy and pet-filled building). But

Lived here for a little over 2 years and never had a complaint. Management and office staff always very friendly and quick to help with anything. Rarely any issues with needing maintenance to come out, but when needed they always responded to work orders very quickly, many times within the very same day. The laundry area was always clean, and during the winter, sidewalks were cleared very fast. The location is also great. Very close to downtown South Lyon, and a quick commute to Ann Arbor! Highly recommend Brookdale Apartments for anyone looking in the area!

The staff is so friendly and happy to help with any questions or concerns a resident might have. You can tell the manager Carol takes great pride in her job along with the staff, to ensure a happy, safe and clean community for all who live here. Lived here a little over a year and I loved it! The management is really on the ball, and respond extremely quickly to questions/issues. Very dog friendly complex. If your searching to live in the South Lyon area, I highly recommend living here, location is perfect. 1 mile south of downtown, and 1/4 of a mile from the paved cycling/running trails

I have lived in 8 different apartment complexes over the last 10 years and Brook Dale was by far my best experience. The property manager Carol, was a pleasure to work with any time we had a question or concern. When we needed something at the apartment we called and they were on it immediately. If I didn't have to move for work I would have stayed there for as long as possible. If you are looking for somewhere that is nice, affordable, and want to feel like management cares, then Brook Dale is the place for you.

So I moved in three weeks ago from Indiana and wanted to post my experience because of some reviews I read online.. Overall I am very happy in my apartment. My balcony is twice the size of my old place and i reserved a garden plot they offer which is FREE and right outside my building. The ladies in the office made moving so much easier for me and so far I really do like it here.. All the stores around the corner and being close to downtown couldnt be more convenient!

I also moved in about a month ago and love it so far. There are a lot of big dogs but they all seem to be nice and the owners clean up after them. I've had good experiences with the office staff and the location is great! I was nervous about the reviews for this place before I moved in so wanted to share my positive experience!
