A gentle to moderate active class incorporating traditional and therapeutic poses within a contemplative framework. Periods of guided and silent meditation practice followed by Q&A with discussion for those who choose to participate.

Explore your meditation through inquiry, honesty and openness so it feels authentic to you, your needs, and how you can be of most benefit for yourself and the world. In these weekly Thursday morning classes, we will delve into Looking at Meditation Practice through meditation, contemplation, teaching, Q&A and discussion.
As a licensed physical therapist (B.S. McGill University, 1983), Reiki practitioner, Shake Your Soul dance teacher, certified fitness trainer and long time meditator, Janine augments her classes with aspects of therapy, fitness, healing, and mindfulness for a truly integrated experience. Janine began her own yoga practice in 1992.
Each class is unique and can include both restful and/or active poses to improve flexibility, strength, balance, relaxation and body awareness. Whether one is involved in dance, sports or everyday life, Pilates believes that the strength of the limbs comes from the Core abdominal and back muscles.

Let's start 2021 by bringing clarity to our intentions through specifically designed and directed journaling! The 60-75 minute classes will include a gentle warm up to drop into our physical bodies followed by a short meditation to inform the writing.
