The main focus is to strengthen deep abdominal, hip and back muscles with emphasis on proper spine and hip alignment. Whatever your interest, our sessions are great for everyone; beginners, new moms, pre-natal women or fit and fabulous individuals.

Emily has everything you can want in an instructor. Full of energy but knows when to go slow. Dedicated to her craft. Personalizes each session for what each student needs and is always mindful and adjusts for any injuries or weaknesses. As important she is always looking to learn new things and improve. Two thumbs up for sure. Give her a try and you will not be disappointed.

There's no yoga or pilates studio in the area that even comes close to providing the TLC and personalization that Emily and her instructors provide.
A year ago, I walked into Emily's studio--M Pilates and Yoga--with unbearable sciatic, low back, and burning compensatory pain across my glutes. No joke, at times, I felt like giving up.

First time doing Pilates and I was very nervous. However, my mind was put as ease from entering the door and being greeted by Emily. She was very nice and introduced me to other clients as they arrived. It felt very warm and welcoming. She shared a lot with me before scheduling and that was impress. Most places just see clients and dollar signs.
The Studio is diverse with various rooms where they do different things. The class I took was small and the instructor (Lauren) was knowledgeable and paid close attention to ensure everyone was doing the movements safely and getting the benefit expected

Ignorance isn't bliss ....I was battling anxiety and depression despite dropping 55 lbs and working out weekly with a personal trainer. I was referred to Emily by an acupuncturist . I scoffed and rolled my eyes and said there was no way I could get an effective workout with Yoga & Pilates and thought it was strictly a feminine discipline. Nonetheless, having nothing to lose, I eventually followed up on the acupuncturist's recommendation and reached out to Emily. Even after the initial complimentary evaluation and reluctantly committing to 5 sessions, I walked out of the studio still

This review is long overdue. I moved from DC a few years back and had been doing private and small class reformer - when I got to NJ I couldn't find a studio near my house with the same focus and my shoulders and back definitely suffered. About a year ago I stumbled across Moxie and I love it! I feel healthier, was really getting leaner thanks to Colleen's class and it was a chance to balance myself out 2 hours a week. Then I got pregnant - Emily the owner was great - she put me in her prenatal class and Colleen modified for me - and I'm now 6 months and feeling great! I feel really

I love this place! Only place I know where people come out smiling, despite being put through the ringer. =) I think the layout (along with the helpful trainers) make it conducive to a friendly environment.
I'm not a "yoga-guy", but their one-on-one training packages have helped me get back on track. And Moxie is so much more than just a gym or studio, it's an all-around wellness facility as Emily and her staff also offer nutrition and diet workshops throughout the year which have benefited me immensely.

Moxie is the best small studio around for Pilates and Yoga. Classes are intimate, so everyone gets the proper attention as it relates to good form and adjustments are made by teachers as needed to prevent injury or to increase results from the exercise. You really get the one on one in the group classes that you normally get in a private session. The studio has great energy and the instructors rock with classes, private sessions, and music! I've met some really nice women since joining and feel wonderful! Nameste.

I love this place. I've been wanting to try Pilates for a long time and was always too chicken. I signed up for a small group class on the reformer and I can't fully express how great an experience it has been. As a true beginner, I didn't know what to expect. The instructor (Nicole) is very patient and helpful in getting me to use proper form. Tonight is my 4th week and I stand taller, my clothes are ever so slightly looser, and I just feel all around awesome. The studio owner (Emily) is great too. She let me try a yoga class FOR FREE!!
