I would have liked to give this property a better review, but there have been too many inconsistencies and poor service I feel like it needs to accurate. Firstly I work in this industry and gave been fir several years so I understand that some things just can't be done. Firstly I'll give the positive which is the only reason for the 2nd star which is the view of the lake from any location is wonderful. You don't feel like your in the middle of the city and get plenty of fresh air if you choose. The Maintenance staff has been responsive to my needs and get things done in a timely manner, the apartments

Before we moved in, I asked if the previous tenant had any cats because I am allergic. They assured me that if the previous tenant has pets, the carpet would be replaced. My roommates and I lived their for 3 years with dogs the entire time. When we moved out they told us our carpet needed to be replaced because of the condition it was in. They said their carpet has a 5 year lifespan and we were there for 3 years so we owed the remaining 2 years and charged us for it. When I asked about it automatically being replaced because we had pets for 3 years, they said I was misinformed and that wasn’t

Looked at an apartment here with my Guy today. The apartments have a lot of square footage compared to others & the washer/ dryer in the walk in closet is brilliant. Grounds are beautiful & you can kayak there. The amenities are sweet! The drawback for us was that the apartment was very outdated & had carpet. The best part was the leasing person, Rosie; she was so friendly & genuine. She took time showing us around & was knowledgeable & answered every single question we had. She was a gem!

I have lived here for almost 2 years and would recommend this apartment complex to anyone. Top notch staff in the office and the best maintenance staff anyone could ask for. Very friendly and extremely helpful with all work orders. And extremely efficient in getting the work done in a timely manner. Love the grounds which are kept in excellent condition with lovely flowers and shrubs and trees all over. The property manager and office staff are also very helpful and friendly. They follow through with things and send work orders to the maintenance staff as soon as they hang up the phone. Definitely

Stayed here for a few months while working on Indiana School for the Blind, great facilities, nice layout of the subdivision too.
Really liked that it had plenty of parking available, never had to walk more than 50 yards or so tops. The lakes were beautiful, great fishing right in the back yard. The goose poops though, wow .
The apartment we stayed in was a 3 bedroom, the rooms were spacious, closets were decent but nothing fancy with a good amount of room to hang clothes etc.
The kitchen was a decent size, fridge, stove and dishwasher were all decently new and worked well. Wasn't a fan

This was a horrible place to live. There was an abundance of fruit flies from the second we moved in until we moved out, despite having to pay an "extermination" fee monthly. We bought our of our lease because it was no longer worth paying an insane amount to live in an ill-maintained complex. Our car randomly got towed because there is never enough parking spaces available. They added so many charges once we moved out so we would owe money for absolutely no reason. I would not recommend that anyone live here.

I was extremely unhappy due to the fact that my car got towed about 3 weeks ago in the middle of the night. I live in a two bedroom apartment, but was only given one parking space for two cars. I came home one Friday and ALL the visitor parking spaces were taken which is where I usually park the extra car. I had the option to pay an extra monthly fee for another parking space, but with the high cost of this apartment, I already felt like I was overpaying on rent so of course I did not opt for the extra parking space. Anyways, I went ahead and parked on the side of the street because I literally

Chill area. I personally have never had any issues. Each unit has a splendid view of the pond, parking is always available close by, and my neighbors are friendly during the rare times I do see them. Since each entrance only host a few units, privacy is a huge plus.

If I could give negative stars I would! For over 3 years now, water is constantly being shut off. They always claim the water is fixed, but it never is - how about hiring contractors that fix things right the 1st time?!
This used to be a very clean, quiet apartment community, with pleasant residents. Now they are allowing some of the trashiest people to live here - likely because they are allowing HUD people to live here now, just so they can keep the money coming in for their overpriced, old apartments. On top of that, I have trashy neighbors that smell up the hallway with their cigarette smoke

Pros:
there's some cool maintenance guys
Nice diverse community here
Double layer security to get into apartments (code + key)
Nice pool + clubhouse
Nice living space in apts

Cons:
PARKING (one spot to park between me and my roommate) it's very inconvenient
Cant pay rent online through checking account, was able to at first but not anymore. Also very inconvenient.
No trash pickup on weekends. (inconvenient)
NO COLD WATER! was told that they ran the hot and cold water lines too close to each other, so the best we can get is luke warm water out of our kitchen faucet. Our main source

We have lived here for a little under 2 weeks now. I completely regret signing a lease here for a number of reasons. The first of which is that our apartment was dirty beyond reason when we moved in. I am assuming the last residents did a terrible job at cleaning and staff did not clean the place before we moved in. There was black mold in both toilets, clumps of dust in the vents, and large sticky brown spots inside the fridge. Our building mailbox master lock is completely missing so anyone who comes in has access to all 4 units mail. I don't even use my key, I just pull the whole unit out and

This is a nice looking complex, but keep in mind there is insufficient parking for residents. In addition, in instituting their new parking policies, they did not clearly mark no parking areas and then had residents' vehicles towed in the middle of the night on a weekday, and refused to reimburse us for the cost. For as much as I am paying for these apartments, I should not have to deal with an apartment complex with no consideration for my livelihood. This was simply a ploy to force residents to purchase the "optional" carports at an extra monthly charge. Do not get lured by the cost of the rent

This community is beyond amazing. The staff that works in the office works very hard and tries to do everything they can to satisfy the residents. And they are friendly! Corporate is working hard to improve the community inside and out. The community is on an amazing amount of water and you have a great view with boating and fishing. The community is extremely friendly and I love it here. It speaks more than words that most of the residents have lived here more than a decade. It is definitely Indianapolis's best kept secret. I know from living in apartments for most of my life that you are

Love this place. It feels like home - probably due to the fact that the individual apartments are the size of actual houses. . . all for a reasonable price as well.

Management is also amazing, they do such a great job at making you feel like a valued part of the community, you're not just a monthly check to them. Many apartments treat you well when you are considering moving to their facility, but then don't even recognize you when you come to inquire about something after they have you sign their lease.

At Somerset Lakes they know your name, history, and previous conversations with

I am a wanderer, a modern day nomad if you will, and I have lived in several spots in this city in my relatively short time here. But until now I have yet to find a better place to live, then my current digs at Somerset Lakes.

The place is amazing, it is pretty large, but manages to feel rather cozy and local. The neighbors are great and I even have a guy in my quad that has been there for 12 years, if that doesn't speak volumes about this place, I don't know what will.

The kicker? Every apartment has a lake front view! There is a huge lake that spans throughout the complex and with
