The goal of Andis is bringing together a great team to make great wine. Amador County offers the canvas for great wines, and she also gave us the gift of a dynamic team. One great night in Amador was enough for Andy to move his Aloha shirts to the Sierra Foothills, where he could enjoy the unique wines and flavors of Amador County.
Thank you for your purchase. Please be aware that while we try to get your wine to you in a timely manner, we are very careful about shipping wine during spells of extreme weather. If we determine that the area we are shipping to or shipping through may damage the wine due to heat or freezing temperatures, we will hold the wine until better weather allows.
As part of the Club Andis family, members enjoy special discounts, exclusive access to our finest wines and an insider's look at what's happening at the winery. Members also have the option of customizing their shipments to get the wines they know they love. In February, May, September and November you'll be the first to receive 3 bottles of new red and white wine releases that are hand-selected by our winemaker.
This wine is complex and deep like an old-vine wine should be, with a juicy full body, firm tannins, and velvety finish. Planted in 1869, the Original Grandpere Vineyard is one of the oldest documented Zinfandel vineyards in California, still own-rooted. A robust component of smoky aromas and flavors give a large personality to this concentrated, ripe, and extremely full-bodied wine.
Painted Fields Old Vine Zinfandel pays homage to our farmers who believed in Zinfandel and held these vineyards for decades, and in some cases, for over a century. Painted Fields Curse of Knowledge is our first ever Bordeaux-style red blend, made in partnership with Philippe Melka and Maayan Koschitzky.

I attended an event at Andis last week for the passing of a dear friend. They hosted a wonderful event and served some of the best wine I have had in a long time. The Sav Blanc (made with Codevilla vinyard grapes) was fantastic...I ordered a case to take home with me. Great people and great wine.

My husband and I visited here on Sunday. Although it was crush weekend, we were welcomes and treated awesome! The two ladies who served us were great. We found out it was our first server, Stephanie's first day on the job. I would never had known if she didn't tell us. She was being helped out by Nicole who was incredibly knowledgeable and totally sweet. The wines were good and we bought some Rose of Grenache. Having just left Dobra with a bad experience, this winery saved the day. Thank you so much!

Made a res and came here for a tasting on a Sat - it was pretty busy! I usually don't care for white wines but really enjoyed their Sauv Blanc. We bought two bottles and didn't notice until we got home but they didn't come with any labels - weird haha. Anyway, we got a tasting outdoors and it was pretty nice!

Our AB&B host recommended Andis Winery to us. We decided to visit in the afternoon. We were first welcomed by Hugo (the cute little French bulldog). Rebecca has made a great job introducing the wine flights and checking with us several times during our visit. We decided to bring home a case of 2018 painted field red blend.

What an absolutely beautiful place! And the wine is fabulous!!! We drove up from Sacramento on Sunday --- it took 45 minutes and the drive is beautiful --- and relaxed in the gorgeous outdoor pavilion. The food is divine and the wine is magnificent. The wine flights were organized and curated by Rebecca, who is passionate about her job and the wines she serves. We spent the whole afternoon there, languishing in the warm breeze (Andis is about 2000 feet up into the foothills, which means it is noticeably cooler than the valley) and enjoying the deliciousness of everything. This is a five-star

For my birthday weekend, my husband and I made our way out to Amador county to do some winetasting. We made a reservation at Andis winery mostly because they were dog friendly and we were bringing our two great Pyrenees puppies.

The staff were very kind and very understanding that we had puppies with us. They made our very first wine tasting experience with dogs an enjoyable one.

But enough about the dogs and more about the wine - we both thoroughly enjoyed our flights of wine and the nice variety that they offered. Paired with food from Capitol Brasserie, it was the perfect birthday afternoon

Best experience wine tasting in quite a while 🍷.The staff is very friendly and definitely following the Covid-19 safely recommendations.
It was a fun experience and very enjoyable. They are pet friendly which is also a huge bonus. Their outside tables offer great views and the food offered was quite tasty too. Good selection of tasting flights as well.

I absolutely love this winery. So much so that-- even though I've lived in the area for over four years, (never committed to a wine club), I committed to them. Great customer service and the grounds are absolutely phenomenal. Plenty of parking and it's excellent for summer time when you want to get out of the city.

Great wines, friendly people and spacious outdoor area. We came on a Saturday afternoon, we did make reservations in advance since we had a party of 7 and it's still covid times. Once we arrived they seated us immediately, they do have a max 6 people per table policy but they were able to seat our 2 groups near each other.

We each got a wine tasting, but if you buy a bottle they waive the tasting fee. We ended up buying 5 bottles! Their barbera was delicious, my favorite. The Zinfandel and rose were both very good too. The only downside was that it was chilly on the January afternoon we

First trip to Sierra Foothills wine country and first stop was Andis. It was the best winery of the trip. They've done a great job with the Covid pivot and now serve appetizers outdoors on a shaded patio. The service was great, the wines were elegant and high quality and the food was surprisingly good. We had the oysters, pate compagne and the salmon gravlax bruschettas, which were excellent with the Cuvee blanc and the rose, as well as charcuterie and peaches with burrata. We also appreciated that they brought out the bottle order in an ice bucket. Started with wine flights and then picked

I would give them 10 stars if I could! After a couple of pretty miserable tasting experiences at 2 other local wineries, Andis hit it out of the park. Where these other 2 wineries lacked in customer service, Andis shined. We showed up 30 minutes early for our reservation due to us leaving the previous miserable winery earlier than planned. No problem for them. Not only did they seat us quickly, but they asked what kind of set up we wanted (high table or low table) and if we'd like more of a view or more shade. We were then greeted by our wine server, and she explained how the tasting worked

Visited Andis on July 5th. Beautiful estate with excellent wines - thoroughly enjoyed their Painted Fields white and red. Lorenzo and team are extremely passionate about what they do. I've visited wineries around the world (Porto, Tuscany, etc) and Andis genuinely cares about educating people about wine. Can't wait to visit again.

It was our first stop for a day of wine tasting and every winery afterwards did not match the bar Andis set for a tasting experience.

Visited Andis yesterday 6/13/2020, on their 1st day reopening from COVID19 closures. Andis did a great job making patrons feel safe during their visit. All employees were wearing masks and all tables, chairs were sanitized between each patron. The outdoor tables were well-spaced to keep social distancing measures. Hand sanitizers were visible throughout the facility - from the tasting room, cash register, and bathroom. Rebecca was our host - she was so friendly and accommodating! She made sure to get an umbrella for our table so that we could sit and sip comfortably. Reservations are required

Andis Winery is a breathtaking winery in the heart of Amador County. A stunning facility with breathtaking views, and unparalleled hospitality (the owner, Janis, is one of the loviest people I have ever met) While we enjoyed all of their reds, we particularly loved their Old Vine Zin and Painted Fields (a blend of Barbera, Primitivo, Malbec, Petite Syrah and Cab Sav). Highly recommend!

I was lucky in the sense that my "coming of age" for drinking wine was pretty heavily saturated with Andis wine. You see, my dad has been a wine club member and when I started to drink more wine, he generously brought me along to the Andis wine club pick up parties in Honolulu, where we live. I got to try all the wines included in the pick up for that quarter and I even got to meet Andy and Janis, the owners of the winery.

I had been to Napa and Sonoma before, but my dad had been to Amador County a handful of times and recommended it. On my most recent trip to California, we stopped

I was quite excited to visit Andis based on other reviewers and how beautiful the winery looked.

Andis is located on the ever so popular Shenandoah wine road, and can be easily spotted from some distance with its large metal facade wall and large lawn. Parking was ample, but was a tad tricky as this visit was filled with a few wine buses and tons of locals and tourists, so it took a little to find parking. Fast forward to the spacious tasting room with a beautiful view of the valley and plenty of outside and inside seating for everyone. At this point, many are probably curious as to why I dropped

A real standout! Andis Winery is worth a visit. The property catches your eye from the road with it's unique modern design that sets it apart from the many other wineries in this area. Perched prominently atop a hill the winery boasts a panoramic view of the entire region. Unlike many other tasting rooms at other wineries that are enclosed, Andis, with plenty of space devoted to windows, you can enjoy views of the surrounding area while sampling their wide selection of well crafted wines. The atmosphere is a bonus when tasting the exceptional wines that are served by a not only knowledgeable staff
