While it is your responsibility to choose a site, we will assist you through the site selection process. We also maintain the right to have the final say on your chosen location. No baking or decorating experience is required. We will teach you what you need to know; however, it is recommended you hire a decorator that has previous experience decorating cakes.

This place makes me mad its so good. The cake is moist and fluffy and the buttercream and ganache fillings divine. Full size and smaller size options available, which makes sampling multiple flavors a little toooo easy. The best cupcakes hands down. Price point is completely reasonable for the high quality of these goods.
They do holiday options for pies and rolls which i havent had the privilege of having but would put money on them being just as amazing as their cakes/cupcakes. This place tests my restraint like no place else!

Absolutely wonderful! We were looking for a wedding cake for our COVID-delayed wedding reception. I contacted a couple of places that were no longer doing cakes due to the pandemic, then one place that was super expensive. When I contacted Fat Cupcake, they responded right away and said they would be thrilled to do our cake. I work in customer service and this really said a lot to me.
They were super easy to work with. They do a to-go cake tasting, which makes sense in these pandemic times, and it's only $10. It was so much fun to take the cake, filling and frosting samples home and

I had a terrible breakup recently. Everything is awful, but chocolate and sweets help a bit. Having seen a billboard for fat cupcake, I decided to try them out. Chocolate coping is best coping.
I bought 3 cupcakes. I ate the cupcakes (yes, all 3, stop judging.) I then despairingly cursed my decision to buy only three cupcakes.
Seriously though, these are good. These are really, perfectly delicious in a way that hits you in the feelings and the taste buds. The cake is soft and spongy and perfect. You can tell the bakers have it down to an exact science.
The cinnamon bun cupcake especially was

I can't say enough good things about Fat Cupcake and the people that make it all happen. We were fortunate enough to have them cater our wedding with the most amazing cake and cupcakes. They were so attentive to our needs and happily changed my order multiple times to match my head count. We had an outdoor wedding which makes things a little tricky but they had everything ready to go and the presentation did not disappoint. Holy bananas these were good cupcakes! I got a random assortment of a bunch of tiny ones for my husband's birthday celebration, everyone had a fit over how tasty they were. People were genuinely mad at me that I didn't get enough for everybody to have more than one because there were so many different and interesting looking flavors that people couldn't pick.
Oh well, guess it just means I'll have to go back. 🤷🏻‍♀️

We purchased our wedding cake from FAT Cupcake. Delicious lightweight cake. The guest-favorite was the vanilla with lemon curd filling. Delivery was on time. There were a couple of options that we were hoping for but were unable to get - were unable to mix and match tiers of poppy seed or red velvet cakes (all tiers had to be the same with this option). All in all good cake and service.

The branding is cute, and I was sold by the social media presence and reviews left by others on Yelp and Google. Being a foodie, having a sweet tooth and always seeking to find the "best in its category" locally, I am sharing my honest feedback based on my experience.
The store I went to was in SE Portland, coming from Beaverton, about a 30 min drive. It's a very cute and small store with a vintage vibe to it, no onsite parking but close enough parking available in the residential street nearby. Nice appearance, horrible cake. "Buttercream" icing looked and tasted like fondant. It was way thicker in places and each slice was sickly sweet. We threw out most of it. White chocolate mousse was tasteless. Cake itself was baked ok but it tasted like pure sugar. When I arrived, cake was baked too tall for the box (?!) So the lid was scotch taped at an angle and it wouldn't fit in the fridge at home. They have no parking lot. $55 bucks in SE Portland in a marginal neighborhood with no parking, and I get an expensive, sickly sweet inedible cake. When I asked about the box, the smiling

I would've never noticed Fat Cupcake if it weren't for their bright blue storefront driving up on SE 72nd. I like the fact that they have two sizes of cupcakes: mini size and a regular size. If you're like me and want variety, can't make up your mind than Fat Cupcake is where you can purchase a few mini cupcakes to see which one you like best:)

These cupcakes were sooo good! I splurged for my birthday on a bunch of mini cupcakes and got a good mix of flavors and all were very delicious! Even the few leftover cupcakes which were kept in the fridge overnight weren’t dried out the next morning! They were just as moist and delicious the next day. Their customer service when I called in my order and when I picked them up was great!

Tldr: The pink champagne cake was bomb.
I called in the morning trying to order a cake but no one picked up. They did call me back however which was nice. They have a nice selection of cakes and sizes. I went with the pink champagne cake and was not disappointed. The cake tasted amazing, being light but not necessarily airy. The filing was a perfect sweet cream and the frosting gave it the perfect finish, totally not the kind of frosting that's just for show to be scraped off and not eaten. Will definitely want to be back and try some of their other options.

Wow! I'll be honest that I'm pretty picky about baked goods since I bake so much at home, so I'm always hesitant about trying a new place. This place was absolutely amazing! We bought 7 different cupcakes and they were all delicious (although we ate 3 before remembering to take a picture).The pink champagne one wasn't as good as the rest BUT that is because they're all already at such a high quality of flavor so it was still good. The Nanny which I think was seasonal was definitely the star. The intern and the one with Oreo close seconds. I look forward to coming back

I generally don't care for cookies n cream, but their cookies n cream cupcake was pretty good so that won me over. The cupcake crumb is light and fluffy, only slightly dry. The frosting very good, lots of flavor. The presentation is very nice. I like the various flavors and their names. I tried four different ones and Suit & Tie was my favorite (black and white cake with caramel frosting).

Their cupcakes are delicious and so moist! I love that they are offering a Take Home Decorating Kit for their cupcakes during this time. This makes for a great activity to do with kids or even just for yourself to keep busy during the quarantine. My nephew loved being able to frost his own cupcake and add as many sprinkles as he wanted. They offer these kits in a dozen and half dozen quantity.

Delaney and the rest of the team at the SE location did an amazing job! We wanted a simple wedding cake, with the top tier being a gender reveal, as we are expecting. They were so accommodating throughout the whole process, and excited to help us with this wish of ours. Prices were very reasonable for the wedding cake, and it tasted absolutely incredible. They did such a fantastic job for us! Thank you SE team!

We all really loved the custom cake we ordered but we went back to try the cupcakes a few weeks later and they weren't what we were expecting. I've only tried 1 kind of cake from here, yellow cake with buttercream icing and loved it. One the other hand I've tried 3 different cupcakes and it just wasn't the same or anywhere comparable of an experience. I may or may not give their cupcakes another shot but I more than likely will be ordering another cake from them.
