Elden Home Inspection is owned and operated by a construction industry veteran with decades of experience in home building, remodeling and repair. I'm Dave Elden and I have been working in, on or around homes since before I graduated high school 38 years ago. I grew up in a construction family that goes back generations and as the saying goes "I have sawdust in my veins".
Call, Text, Email or book directly. I schedule no more than two inspections a day so every house gets the attention it deserves. I can be flexible with time of day to accommodate your schedule. I have a practical, level headed, and thorough approach. I go above and beyond what is mandated by the Standards of Practice, MA. state law 266 CMR, which defines the minimum requirements all home inspectors must follow.

This is my 4th home purchase but my first time using Dave - I only wish I had known about him for my prior 3. From the first phone call, to the day(s) after the inspection when I texted him with additional questions that came to mind, Dave was friendly, helpful, extremely patient in explaining things to me. On inspection day he was punctual, prepared and thorough. And I had the completed report that same day - which was super helpful in keeping the process moving along.
I certainly hope that I won't be purchasing another home anytime soon (or EVER actually), but if I did, Dave would be the guy

I was referred to Dave by a friend who had worked with him in the past. When I called and explained this is my first purchase, Dave explained the process for the inspection very clearly and what to expect. He was able to accommodate my request for an appointment just a few days later and arrived on time. Dave was incredibly thorough, personable and detailed while walking around the house and explained what he was inspecting and why it was important. I received an incredibly detailed report with photos the following day. I highly recommend him for anyone buying a home in the area.

I dont usually write a review except when I was extremely unhappy or very happy. In this case with Dave Elden, I was very happy with the service, Dave is very knowledgeable and professional, that is the most important factor about home inspection. You want to have a inspector know where to look for what may become a problem down the road. Dave is very throughout about the process, and very detail about everything.
