I’ve been living at Elm Street Plaza since May, and couldn’t be happier. The staff is always responsive and friendly, and that goes for the office staff, concierge staff, and maintenance workers. The maintenance team does such a great job at keeping the building clean.
There are occasional events to engage the community, which are great, and we’re in such a great location that there’s always something to do.

Lived here for 15 months and recently resigned the lease. No major complaints. The building is a little old, but they have done a wonderful job in renovating that it feels newer than it is. They have fun activities that people actually participate in and they have random treats (free breakfast, coffee cart, food trucks, etc.) You truly can't beat the location of the building. I do not have a car in the city and would never need one because we are close to any form of public transportation and a grocery store. The staff has been nothing but nice and polite. No complaints so far living here. Location is great, units are recently renovated and comfortable. Everyone I have worked with is responsive and professional. Maintenance has responded within a day for all my requests. Amenities are nice snd well maintained. Everything is easily done through the app. Billing has always been transparent and there are No weird ripoff fees or anything like that which some landlords do.

The location can’t be beat, being so close to grocery stores and the Red Line. The staff is very professional and quick to respond to maintenance requests. I also like that they prioritize recycling and cleanliness.
The only major con is that the apartment doors are reinforced; any time anyone on my floor leaves their apartment, you can hear the door slam.
Overall I feel very safe and comfortable living at Elm Street Plaza!

Elm St Plaza is a great, affordable option in the Gold Coast. I don't think you will find a better building for this price in this area. The amenities are really nice and well maintained. The apartments themselves are large, quiet, and very clean. I have never seen any pests in my unit or in the common areas and maintenance is very quick and responsive. I always feel safe and the staff is very friendly and helpful! This building does include Section 8 housing which I was not made aware of before moving in but this has not posed as any sort of problem. All of my neighbors have been really nice

I have been staying at this apartment building for more than 1.5 years now.
Has been a pleasant experience and the apartment has been newly renovated with a nice layout.
The leasing staff and the building maintenance are quick to respond to questions/ queries.
Would recommend for others looking for a place in the city and also close to the lake and North Ave beach!

The leasing team is great and professional. They are so quick with getting back to you and setting you up with a lease. Honestly the smoothest lease process that I have ever gone through. The building itself is nice and you can tell that they are constantly trying to improve it. The amenities aren't insane but the gym, pool, and grills are great. My apartment itself is fantastic. Great quality and aside from the occasional water turnoffs, I have no complaints.

The good: The staff at Elm Street Plaza are great, security, package room and maintenance staff are all very friendly and make it a great place to live. Maintenance is very responsive and fixes issues quickly. Great location near restaurants and grocery stores. Very safe area too. Our apartment has great views, great sunlight, the renovated apartments are very nice.
Cons: There has been a lot of maintenance which has been a hassle. Elevators are slow at times, there always seems to be one in service.

Really enjoy living here. Fantastic location and great community amenities. Staff are friendly and helpful. Wish the pool had some more sunlight throughout the day. There has been some inconveniences throughout the pandemic but the building management has done the best they could to accommodate. The timing of building updates/construction was just bad luck with Covid, in my opinion. Had I been going to work, I probably wouldn't have noticed 95% of the inconveniences since they're mostly scheduled during the day. Pros: Fantastic staff and leasing office. They have been extremely helpful in finding me my apartment. All renovated and huge windows in unit. Outdoor area is nice and the grills are great.
Cons: elevators are definitely slow at times and are reserved often for moving. Understandably the pool was by a reservation only this past year and no guests were allowed which was unfortunate.

Moved in a few months ago and LOVE this building. The units are huge with incredible views and recently renovated. The amenities are also great! Safety has been a top priority and I think that the building and residents have done a great job ensuring safety. The only complaint is waiting for the elevators, but that issue seems to be getting better. Overall great building and staff!

Been a resident here for a little over a year and have really enjoyed my experience. Great views of the lake, amazing outdoor space with grills and a pool (not on the rooftop). Elevators can be very slow and have had a bit of problems with maintenance the past couple of months. Management does a pretty good job about keeping residents updated. Apartments are very spacious with lots of windows and lots of closets and storage space.

I have enjoyed my living here. The apartments are very nice and renovated and maintenance comes very soon after you put in a work order. I feel safe with the front desk and like how the app for the building works.

The water pressure (which has been fixed before) is abysmal. Additionally, the water temperature fluctuates greatly without me changing anything. It makes enjoying a nice shower nearly impossible. Between not getting enough water at times, and getting burned or frozen, I would say this is the worst part about living in an otherwise wonderful building.
The appliances are great, most floors have been updated/renovated. The staff is incredible and the views (from a corner unit, looking SE) are amazing.

Very minimal sound heard between units. Love the extra storage each room is allotted in the storage room on each floor.
The units are VERY spacious! I definitely feel as if you get a lot of room for much cheaper than other buildings I looked at.

It's currently nearly 90 degrees and humid in Chicago and our "building controlled" air conditioning is still not turned on. They say they have it scheduled for a date in the future, but their unwillingness to push the date forward to accommodate their resident's health says a lot about their company. The forecasted weather in Chicago is HOT for the next 7 days, so why not turn the AC on a little earlier. To make matters worse, the common spaces are all shut down due to COVID-19 and we are stuck in our sauna of an apartment with no relief. The building managers know full well

I needed time sensitive information from the leasing office and was unfortunately given the runaround by several folks for days. When I was finally able to connect with someone I ended up speaking to a woman named LaShanna in the leasing office who was incredibly rude and disrespectful. She dismissed my request as if it was not her problem and refused to provide any help at all. Towards the end of the call she even got loud and insulting. I was very unhappy with the service and will avoiding interaction with this organization in the future.

I've been living in the Gold Coast for 5 years now and have enjoyed residing at Elm Street Plaza. Perfect location that's 7 mins away from my job. The staff is excellent. They make you feel welcomed and secure.
The management office is prompt and accurate with communicating. Siobhan Walker is very professional, her tone is so warm and she gives you a better understanding of any issue that may come about. All year around the building host with various parties, socials and have vendors come out to get to know staff and neighbors.

Management is wonderful. Very helpful and attentive with the tenants and visitors.. One manager that stood out (ill never forget her name) Siobhan. She made me feel very comfortable and answered everything that I asked of her.. She gets the job done. I have been a tenant at Elm Street Plaza for two years and have genuinely enjoyed my experience thus far and enjoy coming back to my studio from long business trips or late nights out with friends. While the units may be somewhat dated (you get what you pay for), their well built with thick walls so you pretty much never hear your neighbors, also they are well maintained and I specifically have not had any issues with mine.
