73 E Lake is a wonderful place to live. Yes, the amenities are great, but the real gem of the place are the people. From Carlos in building maintenance, Andrew at the front desk, Alex, Julie in leasing and Dawn the building manager, all were extremely kind and professional at all points during our 2 year stay. They truly made us feel at home and we already miss them so much!
My husband and I moved into a one bedroom right about when COVID first hit in a serious way, and we did not hesitate to sign a second lease + upgrade to a two bedroom when we adopted one more puppy. Our corgis Butter and Waffles

Hands down The best staff! This build is beautiful and so well maintained. They love their residents and it shows, with regular parties and events. The location is great and has easy access to public transportation. Also Close to many city events. I can’t say enough about the amenities. Pool, hot tub, sauna, steam room, 3 workout areas, patio with grills, cooks kitchen for entertaining, private offices, movie theater, computer stations, dining event space, + amazing top floor with dining area, lounge area outdoor space and beautiful view.

My first time calling something a SCAM. For several years I have been fighting debt collectors, which has killed my once perfect credit because their management LIED about the damage done to the apartment. I see there are also several other complaints of this happening this year to past tenants. Better be safe than sorry. Do NOT move here!
Example: They claim there was a *scratch on a microwave button... $75 (no Skratch was there, no scratch shown in their photos).
The carpet has dark stains $875... Literally reported that the carpet had stains on the move-in inspection form. No additional

While my fiancé and I are excited to move to our forever home in the burbs I’d be lying if I said there weren’t aspects of 73 e lake that I would miss. The staff are incredible I loved everyone there and always looked forward to hearing “welcome home” and happy Friday from andrew at the front desk. The little things they did to make the pandemic easier were amazing like leaving a care package of TP on our door and celebrating every national holiday like even national ice cream day was a special way to make it feel like a community. The maintenance staff was so efficient and kind and I

DO NOT MOVE HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO CONSISTENTLY PAY EXTRA FEES THEY FEEL LIKE CHARGING ONTO YOUR ACCOUNT. Absolutely the worst management team on the face of planet Earth. They will consistently try to tack charges onto your account thinking that you either won't be able to prove otherwise or won't want to deal with the hassle associated with fighting those charges (and I'm not making this up, see photos for proof - I provided proof of two separate accounts). I have no counted 5 falsified charges onto my account. I just moved because I have had it up to here with them after this

Look elsewhere.
The apartment itself will be nice.
The leasing office is hands-down the worst - unprofessional, rude, and will swindle every cent they can out of you - will continually target you until you are so uncomfortable at your home - you are forced to find another.
Oh, and then they will step up their level of unethical and prejudiced behavior . For the "luxury" living, their rudeness is the only free and consistent thing you will see while staying at this apt.

The amenities at this building are wonderful. The doorman and staff is great. The office and the leasing team however is the worst I've ever dealt with. They are unfriendly, rude, and will go out of their way to ensure the home you pay quite a bit for- does not feel comfortable to be your home. Unfortunately due to the leasing office's unprofessional demeanor - I no longer felt like I could even be in comfortable in my own home. Their professionalism got even worse once my notice was turned in.

I've been living at 73 E Lake for over 4 years and have nothing but great things to say. Apartments are nice and do not have the huge pillars in the corner that a lot of new construction has. Amenities are great - heated indoor pool, gorgeous penthouse lounge, gym, etc. Location is perfect - close enough to River North, all the museums and work. On site management and maintenance are both fantastic. Always helpful and quick to respond when there is an issue. Just saw a number of buildings in Chicago and still renewed my lease for another year.

I was fortunate to call 73 East Lake Street Apartments home for my time in Chicago. My boyfriend and 2 dogs were immediately at home while also being blown away by our location and views for days. One of my favorite amenities was the indoor dog run. Chicago isn't necessarily the most dog friendly nor generous with grassy patches along the sidewalks so having this large indoor dog run was priceless. I enjoyed getting to know all of the employees and tenants along the way. The front desk and office has some of the most wonderful people who I will truly miss since I've left Chicago. I&apos

I lived there for 3 years in 3 different units. The layouts of each are thoughtful with unique flares like a movable kitchen island/ glass barn door for the convertible studio model. The bath-rooms are very spacious and the floor to ceiling glass windows are breathtaking. The building has great amenities, with wonderful staff that are very welcoming. Andrew in particular is very kind and helpful! Their kindness made me feel at home and safe in the heart of Chicago.

I really loved staying at 73 E Lake for 10 months. It was my first home in Chicago and I felt very well welcomed from the moment I moved in. The amenities are superb - the two (!) gyms are great, really like the rooftop, the barbecue deck and the pool/sauna area and I used the bike storage room. The unit I stayed in was also great, high quality in all fixtures and appliances.
But the real stars are the staff. Very friendly and very professional at the same time. Always helpful and made me feel at home from day 1. I also think they did a great job navigating through the pandemic, with good communication

73 East Lake deserves a 10 on this scale of 5!
I moved here for an easy commute during grad school. But the building, amenities and staff have been so wonderful, I can't imagine leaving.
The building is well designed and the units are beautiful. The amenities are superior to anything I've seen in Chicago and well-maintained. The location is central to buses, the el system and Metra train system, not to mention cultural destinations. Safety and security have been clear priorities during the pandemic.
And the staff - everyone I've interacted with from management to maintenance

My partner and I recently moved to 73 E. Lake from California without ever seeing the building or our unit in person. However, we received videos, pictures and even did FaceTime tour, and we got exactly what we were hoping for.
Firstly, I love that the building is located in the heart of the city - walkable to the river, restaurants, parks, shopping, etc, making it easy to navigate especially if you're new to Chicago. But the amenities and the views are first rate and are what make the space an amazing place to call home.
Alex and Julie were really helpful and answered my many questions

I absolutely love living in this building. The apartment itself is beautiful and the staff is both friendly and attentive. We have worked closely with Dawn, Alex, Julie, and Maureen and we recommend all of them! They are so accommodating! The rest of the staff here is also fantastic - from the maintenance staff to the front desk, everyone has been wonderful to us- going above and beyond. Lastly, the amenities are great! They are cleaned regularly, which is so important during this covid era.
Would give them 6 stars if I could!

Great luxury living experience.
I thoroughly enjoyed being a resident at 73 East Lake. Located in the heart of the city walking distance from restaurants, parks, shopping, sporting events, and amazing views, I could not ask for a better place to call home. I call in my peace in the middle of the city, hustle, and bustle.
The grounds and amenities are clean and well kept. The staff is friendly and personable. Most of the staff knew me on a first-name basis. 73 provides fun interactive events for transparents like me to network and meet new people.

Highly, highly recommend 73 E Lake. The units themselves (with to-die-for views) and the rooftop / 9th floor amenities are top-notch. It was such a happy place to come home to for two years.
I wasn't originally considering living in The Loop actually, but once I saw the gorgeous views from the corner 2 bedroom unit (best in the city I think), the high quality amenities / pool, and the friendly staff, I was sold. Everything was consistently amazing. The door staff knows the residents by name and are so friendly and helpful (I miss Andrew already!), and Dawn and her team are great to work with and

This building is a wonderful place to live. Management is attentive and cares greatly about its residents. Should any light go out or something else in your unit, maintenance is quick to fix issues. The management's attention to health and safety during the pandemic has been incredible. I've felt very safe living at 73 E. Lake. The location is convenient to everything the city has to offer (transportation, restaurants, shopping, parks, etc.) It's a wonderful place to live and is very well-managed. I'd recommend anyone live here if looking to live in the central Loop.

I can't speak highly enough about 73 E. Lake. I called the community home for two years with my girlfriend and dog and we loved every minute of it. The apartments are spacious, the building has amazing amenities, and the management and staff are always friendly and attentive. It is the perfect location and it checked off all of our wants for a luxury building in downtown Chicago. I would highly recommend the community to anyone looking for a place to call home.

An overall fantastic living experience. The staff is friendly, the building is well maintained and the location is perfect. No issues with bugs. Elevators always work. Amenities are new and well kept. The gym is clean. The rooftop is awesome. Always a good time grilling and hanging out by the fire pits. Close to multiple gyms and grocery stores. The underground pedway is right next door. Close to the blue and red line - easy to get anywhere in the city. A great place to call home for me and my dog Lincoln.

Stayed there 15 months. Amazing building with great amenities, friendly staff (special thanks Andrew who was always super nice to us) and always clean. Location is just amazing, you're 10 seconds from Michigan ave, 2/3 min walking distance from the orange, green, purple, pink and red lines and 8/10 min from the blue line. Millenium Park is 5 min away, great during summer time.
Their units are clean, have floor to ceiling windows and are super bright. The convertible is just amazing and is super large (~700sf if I'm not wrong).
Would definitely stay there again and highly recommend you

Past due review here but wanted to shed some light on move out process. Easy! Just don't burn your apartment down or throw refrigerator out window and you should not expect charges.
I have spoken with some neighbors that think this place tries to nickle and dime, then to learn they have bowling ball size dents in refrigerator doors. This has not been our experience at all. The staff are honest and quick to respond. The building was even very kind and accommodating with move out timing/procedures.
We miss 73 and looking forward to new chapter in life, just thought this might be helpful

One of the best places to live. Great staff all around. Dawn and Debbie (Manager & Assistant Manager respectively) in the management office are amazing and really have the interest of the residents in mind at every turn. Jeannette, Andrew and Amira at the concierge desk are always welcoming and more than happy to help. Not to mention they make you feel welcomed when you arrive at home. I had some moving issues in the beginning and all three went out of their way to assist me. The maintenance headed by Dave is on point and they handle any issues within the same day.

Very convenient location and building has electronic locker for your packages for easy pick up and drop off and also dry cleaning lockers just on the first floor where you can leave your stuff there and someone will take them to clean and return to you.
Highly recommend!

Lived here during my first year in Chicago. I gave this place three stars based on 1 Star per category below
1. Management +1
Simply amazing. Couldn't ask for better people! There is an exception. Avoid Sawson because she is horrible! I was very close to making this a -1 Star just because of her but Kara and Dawn save the day.
2. Security +1
These are my favorite people. They are friendly, helpful, and perfect!
3. Elevators -1
This is personal preference but I will probably never live in an elevator building again after staying here. Wait times are very long.
4. Neighborhood -1
