Acupuncture encourages the body's own innate ability to heal itself. This is done by inserting hair thin needles (sterile and disposable) with intention at very precise acupuncture points.

This place is just awful. It's incredibly sexist here. The men's locker room are nice, clean, and have a sauna. The women's locker room has no sauna, the floors are disgusting, and the showers don't drain. If you shower in them, the water just slowly fills up around you and is absolutely disgusting.

Despite this I still used this gym for a few months. Eventually I had enough, and I cancelled my account with them. Instead they did a soft cancellation and then started charging me again after 3 months. I paid them for months after this without realizing it. When I caught onto

I love this place. I can take classes while my partner works out in the gym. Love the Chiropractic care from Dr Beall and can't say enough wonderful things about him and what he has created with this gym.
I really respect the gyms relaxed environment and the welcoming staff. I absolutely love working out here.

A few years back I went to Rise for chiropractic work due to shoulder blade pain. Dr. Beall worked his magic and I have not had a reoccurrence of the pain since!

I went back recently to try, for the first time, getting a lift and tint on my eyelashes. Felicia is both kind and patient and did a fabulous job. I'll admit I was a little freaked out as I've never done anything to my eyelashes, even using a handheld curling device. My eyelashes turned out so good that the next morning I woke up and caught a glimpse in the mirror, I thought I had left my mascara on. I actually had to stop

For the price they are charging you think they would have enough space and equipment for people. The building isnt tiny but is in no way big enough for any busy times of the day. The price increases make it even more of a joke. I have heard good things about the classes but for less than half the price there are plenty of other places to go within a short drive that will have space.

Big shout out to Rise! My sons and I workout there and have nothing but praise for the selection, cleanliness and quantity of equipment. There is a great mixture of heavy lifters and general fitness types. It's friendly without being frivolous. The front end staff are competent and turn over is low. Also there always seems to be at least some of the cardio machines available.
I have also had Dr. Beall help me with my back-great guy and performed a great service. And, last week, I had Kiko, one of their trainers, help me with my pop ups. He analyzed my mobility, my current motion and nailed

I LOVE RISE! Such a great Mom & Pop gym/wellness center, but I have to especially highlight Dr. John Beall. He is a literal godsend! I had so much pain from an injury this winter, but after just one visit with Dr. Beall I've seen and felt drastic improvements to my injuries. The gym and staff are impeccably safe and clean with Covid-19 in consideration. This team goes far above and beyond to surpass the satisfaction of its clientele. I'd recommend this center to all Alameda locals and East Bay residents!

Absolutely love this place! Everyone is super nice with great customer service. It has that family owned feeling where you know that they actually care compared to other national places that just want to pack as many people in as possible.

Nice staff, clean facilities, and chiropractic services all in one place! I took a pilates 1:1 and I loved it - and hope to add more classes, soon! The staff and owners seem to all be really chill and helpful - one of them offered earphones to me on the day their internet was down and they couldn't play jams for us in the gym. I look forward to trying the other services I haven't tried here (massage, personal training). It's a nice place thats not stuffy to come to and work out.

Another "Karen" in the reception area of Rise Bodyworks. Racist, old, white, pretentious, unhappy woman with poor interpersonal skills. Her demeanor and tone of voice is demeaning.Whoever you are - For your information, I can AFFORD several massages if I want to.

I wasn't keen on seeing a chiropractor. I don't like cracking my back and I had been to one before and wasn't impressed. John was DIFFERENT. He quickly identified my problem as being disc and nerve related. I had thought it was my tight muscles. The term Bodyworks is very appropriate. First off, the table moves! It gently expands and contracts your back. Then John goes kneads out the problem muscles while you do the "active releasing."

Before coming in, I had been rolling onto my stomach and pushing myself up by my hands to stand up to avoid the risk of searing pain

This place is great for classes, Pilates, CrossFit training however if you're looking for just a regular gym they missed the mark on this one. After the takeover from Alameda athletic club they did a few upgrades however the gym area is crowded with Black Walls Black ceilings black floor mats and the machines are black making it difficult to see and then top it off with poor lighting making the room feel claustrophobic. I have the choice to walk to this gym or get in my car and drive across town and pay the same price I choose to drive.

Alright, I'll admit it! I'm a Rise fan girl through and through. From the abundance of free weights to the stellar staff, I'm pleased to consider Rise my home away from home.

Getting into the swing of going to the gym regularly is never easy. Before Rise, I'd tried every every class and big box gym available--nothing ever inspired me enough to make working out a part of my daily routine. About 2.5 years ago I decided to give Rise a spin and everything just clicked.

Rise has the type of culture you look for in a gym: Friendly and inspiring staff, trainers, instructors, and

I accidentally came by this place while staying at the Coral Reef Inn. The hotel I was staying for work does not have a gym so they give you a pass to come here for freeeeeee!!!!! Hell ya I'm going to take advantage and go to the gym early!! A 10 minute walk or 3 minute drive, at 5 am there is parking but looks like it's a different story later in the day. The staff is super friendly, eventhough I have no membership I can sign up online for their classes and pay either $28 or $15 for the class. I didn't do it but love that they have classes. Would definitely come back!!!

Have been going here for a week (almost daily woot!) and really enjoy it! Time and time again I've struggled to find a gym without a strict monthly contract/membership and finally seem to have found the flexibility I need with Rise! It's great that they have such a wide selection of classes and both free weights and machines. I went to a barre class and enjoyed it. Looking forward to getting fit at Rise! Plus it's super close to downtown Park and the beach for a pleasant post-workout stroll.

The only reason I don't give five stars is because the downstairs women's bathroom

I had my first ever massage here at RISE Bodyworks with Kathy. My girlfriend's birthday present to me was a 90-minute massage and it was an amazing experience.

She got into all the right spots and worked deep into my major stress areas. I really enjoyed my experience at RISE and felt welcomed the moment I came in.

I saw them at the Alameda Art and Wine festival and got a free 10-minute massage with Dominic.

I'll be booking with him soon since they have a cheap special going on with him. I love that they offer values to customers. Looking forward to future massages.

I started a membership with Alameda athletic club, which turned into rise bodyworks, I attempted to bring a potential new member on a guest pass, I was told he needed to pay 12$ for the visit for a workout, which is a 1/4 of my monthly fees, I didnt feel this was correct so I inquired more and was told that Alameda athletic club was now under the ownership of rise body works, and that was the way it was.. I was pretty upset, and stated I would like to then cancel my membership immediately, which hasn't happened and now I am paying fees, which is fine!

Dissatisfied, disappointed in this business
