Here's my history: Fitness has been a lifelong passion. Everything about it is satisfying and interesting: the anatomy, physiology, weights, gyms, boxing, figure competitions, etc. I started boxing at 13, weight training at 14, personal trainer at 22, figure competitor at 25, core fanatic at 30.

I had a very specific goal: to get as fit as I could in the three months leading to a big birthday, and I knew I needed the help of a personal trainer. I've spent years and years and years telling myself that I need a personal trainer to get me into shape because I just don't have the discipline to do it on my own. I finally came to Monica, dragging my feet, and I'm so glad I did. She makes me feel good about myself - she really pays attention to what's going on in my body and doesn't push on what doesn't work but instead finds the things that do work and pushes there. I've been training with Monica for the past 4+ months, and I can honestly say she's changed my life for the better. Monica is not only so knowledgeable about exercise, weight training, and forming healthy habits, she is also is so great at giving me the personalized challenging coaching that works best for me. I've also learned that I really need an accountability partner to check in on me and make sure I'm keeping on track with my workouts outside of our 1:1 time, and that is one area that seriously makes Monica stand out from any personal trainer I've ever worked with or heard of.

Monica is the best of the best, she has completely changed my relationship with exercise and is very skilled in adjusting to the needs of each of her clients. She knows how to keep challenging your body, but also encourages us to find whatever forms of exercise we find joy in. I can’t recommend her enough, especially as someone who has struggled my whole life with body image issues, exercise, dieting , etc. Monica promotes a healthy and wholistic approach that is non-judgmental and encouraging.
