Concrete body is a unique fitness studio located in the bay farm area of beautiful Alameda. We are dedicated to serious personal training and fitness. Let our personal trainers guide you on your path to having a healthier and stronger body. We offer private one on one training services as well as small group personal training of four or less for core and conditioning.
We can design a program to achieve whatever physical fitness goals you have. We have trained professional athletes, Olympic Gold medalists, NCAA D1 athletes, military/law enforcement, physique competitors, and anyone else who needs to be in elite physical condition. Concrete Body is a fully equipped private training facility for all your physical fitness needs. We have a complete cardiovascular conditioning area with Woodway Treadmills, Air Assault bikes, Concept 2 rowers, Jacobs Ladder and Versaclimbers. Our weightroom features a full arsenal of weightlifting modalities such as kettlebells, bumper plates, medicine balls, TRX, and more.
We got our start running a small engineering and construction company and soon realized we'd better start thinking about our personal fitness to enjoy the fruits of our labor. We had belonged to gyms in the past; we were very dedicated at the start, but as we progressed we would become frustrated that all the machines were being used and we felt that we really did not know what we were doing.

Just started classes are fun,challenging and fast paced , just what I need to get rid of that bicycle tube of fat around my waist, coming from a lifting background I'm still challenged everytime, I've definitely stepped my cardio game up a few notches and this is just the beginning. Great classes and good workouts.

I came into this class as one of the older participants. I'm not trying to be the best at exercising. I play real sports :) A friend of mine who I grew up with has been doing this class for a while and he's in great shape. I figured I'd give it a try. How rough can it be if it only lasts an hour? Put it this way, for someone as out of shape as I WAS 60 minutes felt like 2 hours of hell. The first month I had trouble keeping up. Everyone else could do each exercise better and longer than me. But it's a team in there and everyone roots for you. You high five at the end

I have been doing Crossfit at Concrete Body for a little over three months now, and it has been one of few workout routines I have been able to stick with and even enjoy. I appreciate that each workout focuses on both building strength and improving cardio endurance. Ron takes time to teach everyone how to properly execute each exercise, so I always feel comfortable trying new, challenging exercises and lifts. Although I am a beginner, I feel as though I get just as much out of each workout as the more experienced lifters, and each workout is tailored to help everyone achieve their own personal

There is no fooling around if you decide to come here get in shape. The personal trainers, especially Ron, are knowledgeable and smart enough to know if you have an injury or issue that the exercise needs to be modified or you need to be referred out to an MD or rehab person. The facility is immaculate and there is just what you need to get an amazing functional strength workout! Lots of good energy here. :o)

Amazing!!! Great Facility, Awesome energy!! The one on one attention you recieve here really has improved my work out. I have been working out at Concrete Body for 2 years now, Ron Callo is an excellent trainer and Ive continued to see results!!! I recomend one on one or the small group boot camps usually 4 to 7 people!!! Cross Fit has nothing on Concrete Body!!!!!

I've been training with Ron Callo at Concrete Body in Alameda, for about 7 months now. I've trained at other personal training locations in the area over the last 6 years - Emersons, and Sports Club LA. I really enjoy training at Concrete Body. The owners have created a very functional gym, with top of the line equipment and facilities. For example - they have two, yes two, Woodway treadmills! These are so nice you feel like you are running on pillows!
