The Monticello At Southern Towers Apartments

WORST APARTMENT I EVER LIVED IN! Maintenance never fixes things. I have asked 4 times for them to fix leaks in my sink and toilet. 4 times!!! It has been 3 months! Wy windows do not open. And they fixed my heater with tape so it makes a noise. My garbage disposal is a disaster. A guy came and claimed he fixed it and will be back but never came....I cant even wash dishes. Because the apartment comes with no dish washer. Im sure you dont want to see pictures of that, its disgusting but i have proof if needed.
Thats not even the worst of it! They went from a $5 a day guest stay to a 24hr 3rd party

It is an old building but some people make a place worth living. Teresa at the Monticello front desk is one of those. She is polite, fun sweet and respectful. She treats people like they actually belong. I pick my packages from the front desk when Teresa is there, otherwise they will wait. Her colleagues should look to her as an example on how to interact with people. She truly is awesome.

Plenty of roaches, mice, rats, etc. I can say all pests live here. Parking after 10pm is a big problem. Poor management and customer service. If you have guests, you pay upto $48 per day/night. Horrible building! the whole way smells food. They give you $50 credit if you're willing to put 5 star on Google review

Stay away from this place!! I was visiting a family member at the Monticello and my vehicle was illegally towed. Visitors have to pay for parking on an app that is run by a 3rd party called Pango and park in designated spots. Despite paying for parking on the app, my car was towed by a predatory towing company the complex uses (A-1 Towing). The towing company drives around the parking lot looking for cars to tow. I thought it would be an easy resolution when I went to tow yard to get my car by showing them proof I paid on the app. Despite showing that proof, the towing company would not release

I lived in the Montichello apartments in Alexandria Southern Towers for a year. Although, my experience was less than stellar for the first half of the year. The second half, Thanks to the new ownership of CIM changed everything! Maintenance fixed things right away the staff was now professional and kind. Especially, Rachel whom I ask to look over my lease from when I moved in. She did and noticed I did not receive the specials I was promised. CIM didn’t even own the company when I moved in. Still, Rachel took the time to make things right! That is why if I ever move back to Virginia Southern

Although the apartment didn’t work out, everyone here is very nice and understanding. Nicole especially was very kind with my situation so I appreciate it. It is 5 star service for the people working here.

I'll like to give a shout out to Ms Theresa at the front desk. She's such a kindhearted, warm and proactive person. She's always eager to help. I think we are lucky to have her working here at the Monticello building.

My experience at the Montichello was not great for the first half of my lease. Then southern Towers was sold to a new company and everything changed. Maintenance was on time and courteous. There staff was also far more professional answered questions timely and were there to really help the residents. I had the pleasure of talking with a woman named, Nicole upon my move out. I asked Nicole if she could look at my lease because I believed I was charged more than I should when I moved in. Even though it was the previous owners that made the mistake. Nicole went out of her way to fix things for me

Pat is such an amazing woman, she helped me on Monday night taking a dead mice stuck in the trap out and yet again this morning I walked to the kitchen and another mice just got stuck on the pad, I called downstairs and I was so lucky that she was here, she came up and took it out for me. I cannot thank her enough she is so courageous and I am still sick in my stomach. She saved my life twice this week.
Safe, secured, amazing mangers, staff and facilities team. Location is great, transportation is available and variety of shops are within walking distance. Bank/ATM and 7 11 are at location!!!

The place is nice. I had some communication issues with management initially but the GM was willing to sit down and clarify all my issues to my satisfaction which impressed me. The problem is the moronic tenants who don't mask in the common areas like management asks them to. Solution? Let THEM get Covid and die off... Make it easier for me to upgrade to a bigger place.
