This shop is by appointment only and they are the most informative when it comes to bikes.
I had called to see if they can build a bike for me, and since he knew he was backed up he told me right away that if I wanted to make the appointment it would be a wait. Which I was fine with since he was nice about it. Waited about a month, and he was the nicest person ever. Its just him and his dad, I think and they are the most humble.
He had trouble building my bike but got it done and for it he said he would give a discount. What! No...I couldn't accept the discount when he worked harder to build

10$ labor charge didn't even tell me there was a labor charge I would have been fine with it but he didn't even tell me or I would have just got the bought the parts myself and put air in it myself . He really snuck that in .. 10min job & charge me 10$ for labor . Made me weight. An hour to make it seem like it's a big job . It was just a fixie flat new tire and tube. Whatever

Never coming back. Couldn't even install tubeleas tires correctly for me. Went for a ride and there was air spitting out of my front tire. Next thing I knew, it popped and I fell on my brand new bike and ruined my Pinarello. I hate you Sun Bike Shop. You ruined my 4,000 bike. Also, found out their prices are horrible after I compared with a few friends.
Just took it to REI, they fixed everyfhing for free in 20 minutes compared to here, 2 wheels took 3 days and 100 dollars. No thanks, bye!

The best bike shop around! I have been coming here for all my bike needs since I was a kid, following them to 3 different locations. The owners are very friendly and informative and they always help me out. My latest bike has been having a lot of issues so I have been going here a lot lately and every time they get my bike fixed perfect and quickly. I definitely recommend this place and won't ever go anywhere else for bikes!

The manager Ty. Is super nice. He gives you really good information and is honest about the product he's selling. I went all around the bay looking for certain tubeless tires but he was the only one who had it. IF you looking for a lbs ( local bike shop ) Shop here. He is super reliable and has awesome customer service.

Bought my first bike from them when they were in Milpitas on back in 2003. Glad they moved to Alumrock area. Had a flat on my way home and stopped by their shop around four. Even though they were closed, Ty opened the door just to get my flat fixed so I can be on my way home on my bike instead of walking. I just ordered a gravel bike from them. Can't wait to see it when it arrives. This is my go to shop. They're small but they have huge customer satisfaction.

I recently just purchased an 1995 Schwinn Getaway on Craigslist for $20 and the bike needed a lot of work before I can start riding.
I drove to Sun Bike and spoke with Thai who is super helpful and knowledgeable. He informed me that I will be needing a new handle bar, chain, gear, & tire/tubs before I can start riding.
Since COVID is here, they're super busy and I won't be getting my bike back for another few weeks which I don't mind since it's supply and demand right now.

If you're looking for a bike for your daily commute and for your weekend exercise, a fitness hybrid that is a road bike with flat handlebars may be the right choice. Finding a $500 or under hybrid bike with good features isn't terribly hard to do at this place. If you go here , that budget will net you a capable, entry-level ride. However, a lot of people stumble when it comes to finding a good fit. However, at this place will have enough selection to fit your needs.

It's been more than two years since I had my bike service. So I made an appointment to have my rear tire replaced with a new inner tube. The wait was less than 10 minutes at the most. With labor it cost $14 dollars which is very reasonable. I can see he's not doing much business since his hours have been cut back due to coronavirus pandemic. No longer open on Saturdays and Mondays only on the weekdays from 10 to 3 in the afternoon. The guy who works there is awesome he does a great job as he did the first time with the loose cable chain.

Got great service here. They squeezed me in last minute... fixed two things my other LBS couldnt fix. Rear tire tape was poorly placed and was leaking overnight... and they said i cant go down in sprocket size for my bike. Sub Bike fixed all of that and did it fast. Coming back here for future work from now on.

These guys just rock, and here's why -- 1) they work fast, so you don't have to be without your bike for a long time. 2) They always give me a discount and let me know about deals on comparable products, so I know I'm always getting the best deal around. 3) They're honest. They've given me information upfront instead of just funneling me toward the more expensive thing.
