Showed up on a Friday night with my sons BMX bike which he has been jumping. Had a crank issue. Very cool guy working who had some metal music playing in the BG looked at the bike and tightened somethings up. Told me where to go if the problem occurred again and explained why the issue was occurring. Don't think the specialize in BMX, but gave 5 star service anyway.

They know bikes!! Stopped by to see some bikes in person because the sizing was just too much to theorize about. They took a bike off the top shelf for me to ride around. Asked how handling would change with various tweaks to length/height of parts, and Ben was clear on saying it wouldn't matter unless I was racing and explained why differences in handling matter for long descents vs. maneuverability in a pack. But they didn't try and sell me on a nicer bike or anything, appreciate that. Call for hours, Google doesn't tell the truth.

I had 2 bikes each with 1 flat tire. I took it around 2nd August and some kid took down notes on cardboard paper and probably wrote the number wrong. it was 4 days i didn't get any call. So i call back and they say it is fixed. I then go pick up, they claimed they fixed 2 tires and charged 55$ and i took the bike home. Next day morning both tires were flat. Are you kidding me. You keep the bike for 4 days - fill the air and charge me for filling air. Using kids who don't how to get a work done and then charging for no service done. Incredible. I called asking for some gumwall tires, I was just asking the person which brands/sizes they had in stock but apparently I was holding them back from working. So the boss said " yes we do have them in stock , but you've been on the phone for a while now we're busy okay bye. " I understand that they're busy but that's not the way to treat a customer the call literally took 5 minutes. Thankfully another shop had the exact tires that I was looking for ! Never calling this place ever again.

I ordered a bike off amazon for my daughter and attempted to put it together on my own. I really couldn't figured the hand breaks and didn't feel comfortable letting her ride the bike I put together so I called them and they said to bring it down and they'll take a look. So thankful I did! They told me the bike had a lot issues as it came from a box and it was an accident waiting to happen. I'm so grateful for them! Thanks guys! They know their bikes here as they build them as well as repair . Took my Stumpjumper over for a tune up ... Old school warehouse environment with all you need to get your bike fixed. They will find the parts you need and take care of your ride. Kind of like dripping your favorite shirt off at the cleaners for a week- lol If needed , I will be back.

Really friendly shop that builds some sweet bikes. It's hard to find a shop that is into metal bikes with chunky tires but these folks get it. Crust, Jones, surly, all the big names in steel are on display with awesome little details added to the builds. I mentioned that I was interested in Crust frames but had never ridden one since they are hard to find, and they let me take a few out for a test ride! Super nice folks that clearly love bikes. They even stock Jones H-bars and road rubber bags.

When my husband dropped off the bikes, the person helping him was incredibly friendly and helpful. Since he was busy, I was pick-up duty and when I called to confirm my bikes were ready for pick up, the guy was incredibly rude. Although I had the tickets to identify my husband's bikes, the guy demanded a physical description. Not knowing about the colors of the bikes my husband brought in, thinking the ID tickets were sufficient, I really frustrated the guy I spoke to. I've never been treated so poorly when bringing my own bikes to Trail Head, who would even go so far as to load the bikes

I repeat what another reviewer said, best personalities in a bike shop in the Bay area. These guys REALLY know what they are doing, they will do the work as if the bike were theirs, believe me, avoiding unecessary work/part replacement. I feel lucky to have found this place. In my case, I bring my mountain bikes here for service and I am really satisfied. Also, I've been servicing my bike here for less than 6 months and I am treated as if I was a customer for several years.

I used to be a bike mechanic in college and can sort out the good from the bad. These guys know their stuff - I mean REALLY know it. It is super hard to make $ on bikes and still have a soul so that's why this shop is nothing much to look at - but the real beautiful thing is the service and the personality. They can get busy so be patient and go on off hours...

I wasn't able to remove my pedals on my 2004 bicycle so i brought it to Silva Cycles. Not only did they remove my pedals, but they installed my new pedals i wanted and included washers so the pedals wouldn't be stuck the next time I attempt to take them off. They also included 2 additional washers so I can reuse the old pedals on an extra bike i had at home.
Second experience I dropped off my wife's bike for a tuneup and to adjust the left brake/sti lever. The turnaround time was quick and at a great price.

Phenomenal Service from Tahn and his crew! I took in my Specialized Stumpjumper M5 that I just picked up from Offer Up and we all know buying used you never know what things we walk away with. Tahn though prepped my bike up non the less with even more, since this almost became a project bike for him to do his works! And taking it to Kirkwood's Bikes and Brews event was an adventure to appreciate with a well fixed bike, thank you Tahn!!!
