Absolutely a horrible place to live, infested with roaches, dirty, and management doesn't even care. Put a deposit down and an application for a three bedroom apartment. It's the only place that I can reasonably afford for my family and I. Management FORGOT I applied and out a deposit down, only a few days later! I do not recommend this place to anyone! You get what you pay for

I would honestly rate this place 10/5 stars. I lived in these apartments for 3.5 years and I never had any issues with any utilities or sound. Staff was always friendly and professional at all times. Never have I felt more welcomed as a customer in my life. Everyone knew me by first name and always asked me how I was doing. Despite being close to the highway, I never heard any loud traffic at night. As it is a tucked away complex there is a lot of privacy and no through traffic. My favorite part of this complex was how large the parking spaces are and the abundance of parking never once did I have

Wish I could give this 0 stars. Absolutely the worst place to live, management is the worst. Unprofessional and do not care at all. This place is about fraud, I have moved out and am still owed money. They are just out to get your money. Do not recommend this place at all. Dirty, poor maintenance, if you're a military family do not trust them. And dealing with them is impossible, i'm having to get a lawyer they are so bad.

UPDATE: All throughout my move out process, the apartment complex (SARA - management) sent painters, scheduled for work to be done, while I was supposed to be moving out. How are you going to send painters and we haven't even done the final inspection I had to turn these contractors away and they looked so confused and trying to understand why they were scheduled. Living at Westwinds has been a nightmare! DO NOT MOVE HERE!

The 1st year I was in this apartment complex it was great. As soon as I started the next year I noticed that there was a wet spot in my ceiling. I reported it and it gradually got worse. Eventually a section of the ceiling in my living Room fell down. This released a minor flood of moldy water on my furniture and into the carpet. It smelled horrible. They came and fixed it. A week later the process started again. The mold stains were referred to as discolouration. Eventually I had to write my Lease because I could not stay in a molding apartment. THEY ONLY OFFER TELECOM FOR INTERNET AND ITS TRASH. Listen ima keep it real. I moved from this place back and June and I should have dropped a review then. This place isn't terrible. It was actually a great first apartment for me. Very spacious, great price, quiet neighborhood. The shopping center around the corner is good for small pickups and college drive is like 5 mins away and they have everything you need. But the floors are thin, I Listened to my neighbors upstairs argue every night about random stuff. And my floor creaked so bad the neighbor downstairs banged on his ceiling(my floor

If you enjoy listening to your neighbors conversations and/or washers/dryers all night then this place is perfect for you. The walls are paper thin so forget about sleeping in on a Saturday morning. The neighborhood is okay however you are surrounded by the "hood". Churchland is one of the better areas of Portmouth. The staff are great. The prices are reasonable. They have an onsite laundry area however the appliances are always broken. I have been here since Jan 16 and I will not be renewing my lease. If you're gonna live anywhere around this area, where Portsmouth meets Suffolk, this should be your first stop for two reasons.
1) The on-site management team is great, personable and they truly care about all of their residents. This is exceedingly rare from what I've seen of Hampton Roads area. Most places could care less with such a high turnover rate. Here, they organize monthly gatherings to meet your neighbors and get to know each other.
2) My family (wife and newborn) moved from a two BR (different property) into a one BR at Westwinds and enjoy a savings of over $400, yet we
