Dr. Michael Whiteley opened the doors to Tomball Familicare in 1984 and has over 40 years medical experience. His mission is to keep his patients as healthy as possible by providing effective and compassionate general medicine. The patients range from pediatrics to geriatrics. Dr. Whiteley, as a family practice physician, treats a large variety of medical conditions, from acute illness to chronic disease.

Due to his many years of experience he is also a well respected teaching clinical instructor for area medical and nursing schools.

Dr. Whiteley has been practicing medicine since 1978. He grew up in the Houston area and attended Spring Woods Senior High. He later attended the University of Houston and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in biology with honors. He studied medicine at the University of North Texas Health Science Center- Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine where he graduated 1st in his medical school class with top honors.

After almost a year of tests run by other doctors, we couldn't figure out what was causing me so much trouble with my health. Dr Whiteley was able to diagnose it on the 1st visit. Now I have my 2 sons and wife going to Tomball Familicare. They are amazing!!! My wife also raves about how good his female doctors are. We highly suggest using Tomball Familicare.

I have been going here for years. I had Covid and Dr Whiteley helped keep me out of the hospital with his kind and passionate care. He is taking care of my after Covid lung problems and I highly recommend him. His staff at the front desk. are courteous and friendly. They helped me find prescriptions I couldn’t find at local
Pharmacies and sent referrals for specialists quickly so I could get tests that I needed. In summary DrWhiteley and his outstanding team in Tomball are top notch!

Terrible experience! My appointment was at 11:30 for a physical as a returning patient, got there 15mins early and when checking in the receptionist right away asked for a $15 copay, when i asked what for? She said it was for medication refill, after i told her i am not on any medication she said ok, just have a seat. So i was going to be charged for something i wasnt even there to do. I got called in to another room after 20mins of waiting in the lobby past my appointment time. Love Dr. Whiteley and the entire staff. Been my family physician for a number of years. He has always been very caring, attentive and professional. His PAs and all of the staff are always helpful and make the visit to his clinic very easy. I also feel safe and secure during these difficult days to be out because of the safety measures they have taken. Highly recommend this doctor for sure.

I love Bethany, the PA. But, the front office staff needs some empathy training or something. They wanted to charge me extra for Prescription Preauthorization, $50. A prescription I’d been taking for a months. They also told me it was going to take up to a week to process when I needed the prescription that day! This was a prescription I was prescribed after a complication from surgery and not an option to not take it, and without insurance it’s $450. Terrible! Felt forced to pay! New Dr’s office said they had never heard of such a thing!

I've been a patient of Tomball Familicare for 8 years and can not imagine going anywhere else. The first time I came in I was a little bit at my wits end after seeing several different specialist for a month long issue with no diagnosis. Dr Whiteley talked to me for a long time getting my background and was the only one to figure out the issue.… Since then I have always trusted the practice to take care of myself & my family. We no longer live in the area but still drive the 45 minutes whenever necessary. Can not recommend both Dr. Whiteley and the PA (Bethany) enough.
