This is my first time renting an apartment and Jordan helped things move along so smoothly. She was extremely responsive, made move in easy, and answered every single question I had. This building sucks. The office management are rude & unprofessional. The apartment and halls are freezing cold because the heat has been shut off and the A/C has been blasted on. I have called about this multiple times over the last couple of weeks citing the ordinance below and nothing has been done yet, but I was received by a very rude response from the assistant manager claiming they can shut the heat off whenever they want to. It was 39 out and the A/C was on full blast and our heat was cut off so I had to go stay with a friend for a week. Even the front desk staff were using space heaters

This apartment complex sucks. They do nothing to make you feel secure. They won't turn on the air when you request it due to high heat. They don't respond timely if at all to maintenance requests. I moved into an apartment with several outlets broken and the AC barely working. I have been here 6 months and NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE! They are awful and crazy expensive!

WORST leasing office EVER. Lived in the building for seven years and they refused to waive a two month penalty to move to another unit. Even after subjecting the tenants to a constant stream of unverified strangers through dozens of apartments they put on AirBNB. Do NOT move to the building if you want to live their for more than a year, they have zero regard for tenants especially long-term residents.

Moving into a new home was probably one of the most stressful experiences before we moved to West 77 Apartments. First of all, I can't say THANK YOU enough to Jordan and Johnny from the leasing office for helping and assisting us in finding our new home!!!
This is an amazing place to live - our apartment is really spacious, with a great finishes and a huge balcony! Amenities are open 24/7 and everything is close by!
Everyone in the building is really friendly and so helpful and if you are looking for a new apartment, get in touch with Johnny or Jordan! It is much easier to call your new place

West77 apartments is in a great location. Just a 5 minute walk to Brown/Red Lines and the Clark street bus stop right next door. It is within walking distance to Mich Ave, Whole Foods, Portillos (which we all know is important) and River Walk. The office staff is VERY accommodating and friendly. They throw great resident events and have vendors in the lobby all the time. I just resigned my lease for a second year and I am looking forward to enjoying all the amenities and meeting more neighbors! :)

Pros -
- Good location (heart of River North; close to a Whole Foods, Trader Joes, and Jewel Osco; close to bars and restaurants; close to Red Line Chicago stop; mostly a safe feeling, though sketchy people were out and about near the building and a murder took place right near the building in March of 2019)
- Great maintenance team (always very quick to respond to maintenance requests)
- Great door staff (all very friendly, they accept packages for you)
- Decent amenities (decent gym, has what you need for a quick workout; functioning unisex sauna; nice rooftop

I have lived in West77 now for a year and I plan on renewing my lease for another year. The office staff is spectacular, the location is perfect and the amenities are top notch. I had friends over for a get together and they were blown away by the rooftop party room which is equipped with a kitchen, games and massive TV and the outdoor space which has industrial size grills and a lounging area to enjoy the outdoors. I would 100% recommend West77 to anyone!

As I prepare to leave Chicago for Las Vegas, I would be remiss not to post a review about West77 Apartments. I called this building home for 2 years and it was incredible.
The amenities are top notch - laundry room, fitness center, pool, and roof top deck!
My apartment was spacious and comfortable and well maintained by the staff in the building. As a single woman I appreciate the 24/7 concierge team and secured building. Speaking of the concierge team ... wow! What a great group of ladies. Shanta, Debbie and Tracy always have a smile for me and always greet my guests with genuine friendliness

I recently moved out of West77 for a few reasons--the main being a handful of members of the management office and door staff were rude, and with certain issues, extremely unhelpful. I will say this is not the norm for the West77 staff overall (I found that the maintenance staff was always professional and timely in attending to any service requests or routine maintenance, and Tracey, Shanta, and Marilyn at the front desk are all excellent), but the effect of the select few was enough to drive me to move out of the building after being a resident for three years.

Staff are friendly and amenable and turn around requests in a prompt and professional manner. A special shoutout would go to the doorstaff: Shanta, Debbie, and Tracey, who are all fantastic. So much so that visitors often compliment how amazing they are when they come to stay. The management team often put on community events, free massages, free yoga classes, and host local company samplers which I think is fantastic.
The facilities are generally very good with the Pool, Rooftop and Lounge being particular highlights. There needs to be some money reinvested back into the gym as some of the equipment

I haven't been a resident here long but so far everything is good. The units are as described and the staff are on their game. There have been some minor unit incidents but they have been taken care of quickly and without me having to follow up constantly, like in some of the places I have lived that claim to be "luxury" buildings.
Professionalism is the key word here. There are so many units in the building and I get that so if it takes a day to fix a clogged drain or weird noise from the dryer, it takes a day to fix.
