I’ve been wanting to write this review for years and have finally found the time.☺️
I absolutely adore this studio. I have practiced and actually taught here years ago, (you see a studios true colors working with them) and found it to be a sanctuary. It’s becoming rare to find a yoga studio that is not only invested in your bodies transformation but your spiritual and emotional one as well. When people ask where they can find an authentic yoga experience, I recommend here.

I tried hot yoga here for the first time and I have to admit that it was an amazing experience. The instructor was super nice and professional and did a great job with helping a first timer like me get the proper poses. I will be definitely signing up!

New to Utah, faith led me to this awesome town of Ogden, and to the best spot in town, Higher Ground Hot Yoga. Instantly I was welcomed into the Higher Ground Yoga family. I couldn't of asked for anything better, I'm hooked who else takes 2 classes a day every day. I can't stay away, being new in town, all the anxiety, born and raised in the Bay Area, never leaving Cali in all my 41 years of life. Thanks to Higher Ground Yoga for making my transition very easy.

Every time I leave a hot yoga class at higher ground i feel rejuvenated, healthy, and inspired! Every instructor i have had has a unique way of teaching yoga that keeps me on my toes! The facilities are very clean, and the studio is located above a coffee shop where the smells are free! The staff is very personable and very friendly. I have taken classes with my whole family ranging from 18-45 years old and they have all enjoyed it!

I enjoyed beginner Hot Yoga, but a studio with so many rules is not the place for me. It’s difficult to relax if you need a block and can’t remember if getting one during class will violate the 20+ rules posted. If your very serious about hot yoga and want an exclusive experience that doesn’t include newbies, this is the place for you.

I absolutely love this place! Coming from a heavy basketball background I was hesitant on how I'd fit in, I've never been flexible before and I didn't want to stand out.. I was shocked by how welcomed I felt by everyone there. Not once have I felt unwelcome or discouraged. In class if there was ever a pose I didn't feel comfortable doing (because of a knee injury at time) the instructor would show me a variation so I could engage with the rest of the class. Every instructor I've had has been nothing but great. Oh and It's such a great workout! I always leave feeling

I did a drop in class and it as wonderful. Beautiful historic building that has been loved enough to bring it up to today's standards. The owner welcomed me, gave me the background of the Instrutor and helped me place my rental mat. The class was just what I needed to get through my travels. Don't miss the cafe on the ground floor. Kombucha on tap and amazing healthy and sinful treats.

I had the great pleasure of taking the Ashtanga class with Sonya and had such a wonderful experience! Sonya was immensely kind and very helpful to me as a newcomer and complete beginner at yoga. Sonya took the extra care to provide me individualized attention and assistance with my form and gave many helpful tips just for me when the other class members already knew what they were doing. The class itself flowed really nicely and was challenging but still do-able. Sonya took the time to introduce some more advanced poses to the experienced class members and help them with very detailed tips and

Tried this place out and was disappointed. The instructor was boring and very monotone. The room was too hot and I'm used to hot yoga. Finally, another yogi requested the fans to be turned on and I literally exclaimed, "omg, finally!" The instructor still didn't turn on the fans, but at least he adjusted the air.
The facilities seem nice and the room was clean. I like that it's above a cute little coffee shop, which also sells kombucha on tap!
I would try this place again, but with another instructor.

This studio has stood out to me in my exploring Utah. Though confusing to find (despite the clear signs "yoga upstairs" lol) I love the blending of coffee, food, and yoga blended into one space! This studio has an older yogi feel to it with strong practitioners and instructors. Looking forward to what they have to offer!

As of this review, I've gone to Higher Ground five times. I've practiced with four different instructors and I've tried three different class types: 90 Minute Beginners Hot Yoga, Warm Yin Yoga, Beginners Vimana Yoga. I love this place. I'm definitely a beginner. I have tight hips and hamstrings. I can't touch my toes. However, this place always makes me feel comfortable. The class always has advanced students and they seem to love it too. I think it takes a pretty great studio to make all students feel welcome in a class. I grabbed a Groupon for 15 classes - great

Told me she would leave the gate open so I made the effort of still coming in. Got there ... door locked. Waited for 10 minutes Wasted 60 minutes of my day driving down and waiting. Next time just say no, don't say yes, check me in, tell me you'll get me in and just forget about me. Rude and disrespectful.

I was looking for a studio to practice when I was visiting family in Utah, and came across this little gem.
I absolutely love this studio and the staff. I've taken Bikram classes all over the world (including India), and I just love the charm that this studio offers. Mike (the owner) has an amazing energy about him, and welcomed me with a friendly smile before my class.
There was a teacher that morning that was *fantastic*! Her name was Lacey, and she was a "guest teacher" visiting from out of town. Highly recommend taking her class if she's on the schedule...
I will definitely

Sweet sweaty promotion: $39 for your first month. At $15/class, that's only 3 classes! It's definitely going to motivate me to get bendy this summer!
TIPS:
-Don't map the location on the address listed - use Grounds for Coffee's 111 25th Street address. Walk in & head up the stairs on the left.
-You can rent mats & towels or bring your own.

If you are someone who has never done real yoga go ahead and take a class at this Ogden Bikram Yoga class. If you on the other hand love Vinyasa Flow, Ashtanga, or any other free flowing spirituality based yoga Bikram style yoga is likely to creep you out and turn you off from hot yoga practice! I have a problem with a teacher who has to follow a script its super disingenuous and like I said before CREEPY.. Also they will sell you on the first time only bargain 30 days for $35 pass which if you add up their overpriced classes is a great deal until you take the first class and realize that this

When I was visiting Utah I was able to practice yoga at this studio. The instructor on Saturday morning was very nice. I enjoyed his style and less aggressive teaching methods. My only feedback is that the room was not that hot. Price is reasonable and appreciated!
Hope to come back soon during my next travels out to Utah.
