I lived there for a couple of years, but I moved out a year ago when the office management fell apart. Even though I gave a very long move out notice, and I was asked if I could leave earlier than planned to accommodate the next renters, they gouged me for every penny on the way out. It's a nice building, but the management would make me look elsewhere

I've lived here for 6 years, and although the building is great, they cannot seem to keep a staff and I am pretty sure there is NO management on site currently, as emails go unanswered. Will likely move upon my next lease renewal. There are newer, better built buildings in the area, for lower rents than Oregon 42 as well.

I lived here for one year.
There's lots to like about this place - it's a new building so things are in good shape and the fixtures are all nice; great amenities - I didn't get to use the gym due to Covid, but that isn't their fault - secure building, really cool rooftop with garden, etc; management was very professional and responsive to me, 5 stars for them. Washer and dryer in all units is a big perk too, and rare for a studio.
There are a few words of caution.
The first is specifically with regards to the smallest studios, I think they are 446 square feet or something like that. Can't speak

I love my apartment. The staff is very friendly and professional. The building is well maintained, peaceful and pet friendly. The view from the rooftop is the best in Seattle. The location is perfect as I can walk to the gym and I’m less than a block from the best restaurants in the junction. I moved in a little over 3 months ago and I’m glad I chose Oregon 42 for a home.

WARNING: This apartments application portal glitches to an earlier move-in date that YOU don't pick! The true date only generates AFTER you pay - when you receive the confirmation receipt. The move-in date during the application process essentially lies to you until the end. This is malicious, and is designed to make you pay more money through forcing an early move-in date. The worst part is that they ghosted my 4 emails UNTIL I started asking for a refund. Management pushed my application through the day I complained, even though the co-applicant section was still pending. The app specifically

I just recently moved out of this property and do not recommend it solely because of poor management. During my walk-through, the leasing agent told me she would waive my cleaning fee which did not happen and now I'm getting billed additional charges. I've called ConAm multiple times to dispute these charges and their phone reps are absolutely no help - I've called twice and nothing has been resolved. In addition to poor management, the building is extremely outdated, and management could care less about your needs. Example: I fell on the roof about a month and a half ago at 6 am

I've been living at Oregon 42 for a little under a year. This is hands down the cleanest and nicest building I've lived in. Beautiful views, extremely friendly staff, and smack dab in the middle of the West Seattle Junction. Management has done a really great job during the pandemic. They recently re-opened the gym and keep it spotless, thank you for all you do!

Oregon 42 Apartments is an amazing place to live!
Cabriel and her team (Vlad, Tanner, and Cindy) are TRULY awesome and are a huge part of what makes this a great place to call home.
Also important; the building has a good feel to it. It's well maintained and has what's probably the most amazing rooftop in all of Seattle. (Seriously)
The location can't be beat; steps away from all the shops and restaurants in the Junction and within walking / biking distance of Alki Beach.
Check it out; you won't regret it.

I hav a long-term impression after living at Oregon 42 for 4 years. My wife and I are retired couple and have chosen renting over keeping our condo. This way we feel free to move and live anywhere and not have maintenance bills, pay ever-increasing taxes, etc. We hadn't actually planned to live at Oregon 42 this long but find that the pros outweigh cons and we find this community to be perfect for our needs.
The Pros:
#1: The staff -- The manager Cabi is open, listens, makes us feel like family. When we have issues, she acts right away and is cool under pressure. Vlad and Tanner fix anything

I love it here! I moved into the building last year after touring almost every available option in the neighborhood. The apartment floor plans are smartly designed and larger than most of the competition in the hood. You simply cannot beat this location! Obviously make use of the rooftop whenever you can - it is really something special.
From touring and moving in, to handling typical apartment upkeep needs, and more recently helping me transfer to another unit in the building - the staff has always been (and of course still are) incredibly helpful with any request.

I am about to hit my 2 years at Oregon 42. I have no complaints at all. Staff is great, no noise, close to a lot of restaurants and grocery stores. Sunday market right next door too. The only reason I'm moving now is because of the bridge closure. The traffic is horrible even during COVID. Can't imagine how much worse it's going to get once everyone starts going back into work.
(Old review) I am moving to Seattle in two weeks and booked a studio here just through online photos, reviews and the help of Melissa. Melissa have been beyond helpful in this process and answering my many, many questions

I loved my year and a half experience at Oregon 42 and went to echo the other reviewers's praises!
Top of mind highlights:
1) Rooftop - an incredible amenity that you will actually use, especially if you have a dog.
2) Proximity to food & retail - a block (!!) away from California Ave, including the Sunday farmer's market. QFC, Safeway, Whole Foods, and Trader Joe's all in walking distance. S/o to the other great stores w/ in walking distance - Lula Coffee, Sound & Fog, Barre Bohemian, and Next to Nature.
3) Team - Cabi, Vlad, Tanner, and Cindy are so friendly and professional. I'm gonna miss

Being professional movers as of now in our lifetime, we can expertly comment on the home that Oregon 42 can provide to someone seeking convenience and community. Oregon 42 delivers consistent care to its residents and building. Living here has improved our quality of life! As a bonus, apartments are not as small as others like the AJ and the Adelle. The Alaska Junction is one block away and you will find most everything you need there. The operations team here at Oregon 42 are amazing. They are attentive and available. There are few apartment communities out there like OR 42. We hope to remain

My husband and I lived in Capitol Hill for the last two years. We liked living close to downtown but unfortunately the crime and quality of life in Capitol Hill has dramatically changed. I recently got a job in West Seattle and decided to check it out and see if it would be a good place to live. This time we decided to take our time and see several places before making a decision. Once we visited Oregon 42 we loved the place but most of all we were very impressed with the professionalism exhibited by Margaret the Business Manager. She treated us with such respect and warmth at the same time, that

I actually called this building to inquire about a new building in the Ballard area as they don't quite have a leasing office- I didn't leave a message or anything and the woman (I wish I remembered her name) called me back not long after just to check if I needed assistance. I know what it is like working in this industry and how busy weekends get and how I can sometimes barely call back people who do leave messages, but the fact she took the initiative to reach out to me was great in my book. Even after I told her I was actually trying to get a hold of another building that her management

I recently conducted a thorough search of apartments in West Seattle and chose Oregon 42. Not only is it a fine facility, but the process of signing up and moving in was excellent. Tiffany and Margaret in the office provided timely, accurate information and made the process of moving in very easy. My favorite thing though is that they were so kind and friendly. It was like already having friends in your new neighborhood. Much appreciated.

My new modern apartment is wonderful. And this building is perfectly situated to take advantage of all the great things I love about West Seattle. I'm enjoying getting to know my neighbors and the staff take such good care of us. But definitely the best part is the fantastic roof...built in gas grills, gardening plots, and the views from up there are amazing!

I was one of the earliest residents at Oregon 42. The finishing touches in the apartments were nice, and I was there when there was still 24/7 access to the roof. Great for going up and reading by the fire while admiring the skyline. The residents at the time were nice enough, as were the two property managers. So no gripe with the day to day at Oregon 42.
My only gripe with them is that their early termination policy is in direct violation of Washington state law. Per the RCW, any such severance charges (2 months rent) cannot legally be held in its entirety as an "administrative fee"

Worst apartments ever! You will receive notes daily about such things as being to loud even though you weren't home. They have a nice roof top but they close it due to people being to loud. The management is awful and treat their tenants like children. Walls are thin. Lots of construction around to make it worse. Stuff breaks and doesnt get fixed. Multiple tenants are getting together to file a class action lawsuit. Stay away!
