Locavina is amazing! Love the vibe and the food and wine was delicious. I ordered the Frederick Burger and the Sugarloaf Mountain Comus. The staff was great too. Nick helped me narrow it all down. Can't wait to come back and try out the rest of the menu. Great job with this place!!

Stopped by locavino today for a bowl of soup to warm me up after walking 2 miles home. Doesn't it look delish with the garlic bread? It is! We used to say Campbell's soup is mmm mmm good. This is the 21st century. locavino is Mmm Mmmm delicious!

Ordered dinner for two for take out using online form. Specified that I wanted to food to be ready at 6:00 pm -- it was 4:30.

Quickly got email conversation and saw that it did not reflect 6:00 pm pick up time. I immediately called Loca-vino. Staffer said she would ask the cooks to hold off cooking it until later

Arrived at 6:00 to find food room temperature-- it was cooked beginning at 4:30

Very tasty food -- but it would have been better hot.

I love coming here after leaving the movie theater that is conveniently across the street. The food is tasty and fairly priced. You can tell every ingredient they use is high quality. They have a great selection of wine by the glass available including some harder to find local ones. If you prefer bottles they do those both to go and to drink there. Their staff is great and is happy to help you choose a wine you'd like. If wine isn't your thing they even have beers and ciders both to drink in house and to go as well. I have yet to have something here I didn't thoroughly enjoy

My friend and I visited on a Saturday night and the food was delicious! I highly recommend the salmon salad and their French fries - sweet potatoe and regular, were amazing.

We mourned the loss of Adega many years ago, but its spiritual successor Locavino is even better. The food is fresher and the vibe is fun. During the pandemic we've gotten take out a lot to just show our support for this great neighborhood place and I finally went to dine in on 12/21. I didn't get my usual hummus (which is so yummy) and decided to try the tomato soup. So glad that I did! I was really tasty and the garlic bread that came with it was also delicious. A great treat for a cold day. I also piled on and got the Gonzalo wrap with grilled chicken, which is one of my favorites

My friends and I ordered some takeout from Locavino this evening and HOLY COW!! Their very Gouda burger was absolutely phenomenal! I learned tonight that the secret to their show stopping burgers is that they marinate their patties in wine for some time and they are simply life changing! I've had an array of different gourmet burgers in my time, but none of them were quite like Locavino's flavor. After tonight I'll certainly be coming back to try the other for burgers in time!

I also got to sample both their potato and sweet potato french fries which were each equally scrumptious

I had a great lunch here with a colleague, and would definitely visit again. I got the penne pesto (without chicken + added portobello) which was excellent! I also got one of their side salads (they have many options) and a side of eggplant fries. To drink, I chose a glass of Sauvignon blanc that was light and bright, and the perfect addition to my meal. I had enough leftovers for lunch the next day, and everything still tasted great. The pricing was also really affordable for the size and quality.

Come for the wines. There is a large selection, as you should expect. What was unexpected were wines from the local area, Maryland and Virginia. The wines are by far the main event. The foods offered can support the taste of the wines but it is not the main focus and certainly not worth coming for on its own. The service was helpful and friendly. However, it was not busy when I was there. Conveniently located in the heart of Silver Spring. It is unfortunate this place closes at 9:00PM. This could be a good place to finish a fun evening.

Just had lunch for the first time at Locavino. Real comfortable setting. The place was very clean, products displayed clearly, and good layout. Ordered lunch and a beer. Grilled cheese was exceptionally flavorful. Beer was from Silver Branch, with a lot of local options. Came out quickly. Easy to have a conversation with my dining partner. I’ll be back.

Not the biggest selection, but you can trust that everything on offer is good. The staff of very knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. It's a great little place to have in the neighborhood and definitely the best place in the area if you're looking for a bottle or two for a diner or special occasion

Had the jerkalaya pasta and it was quite tasty. The sauce wasn't as creamy as probably thought it would be but I still enjoyed it. Very flavorful. The shrimp didn't have the tail on and thats a huge plus. Definitely dining in next time instead of picking up.

We love their eggplant fries! Today we stopped to have lunch at Locavino, we ate outside at their tables. I ordered the sliders with a side of Caesar salad. It was so delicious and perfect to enjoy in the warm weather. My fiancé ordered a grilled chipotle burger with fries. We will definitely be back. They also have a great selection of local Maryland wine available to purchase by bottle.

Wine selection is good & diverse from other spots in MoCo. Food is good.
I would come here for dates way more often if there was table service, ordering drinks at the counter and then having to go back for food or refills can be pretty awkward. Also despite the broad selection of wine, the staff at the counter usually seems fairly uninformed about it.

The chef was very accommodating to make us a vegan option! The atmosphere is great and the food was super creative. I loved the falafel- not too dry and perfectly seasoned.

Do not order from here. I've experienced incorrect orders on the past 2 occasions and rude customer service when I've called to resolve the error.

One of the hidden gems of silver spring. This cafe hides in plain site. Food is delicious and they even have a large selection just dedicated to wine.

Awesome place for food and wine in Silver Spring. We did a tasting on Friday night and then bought some bottles to enjoy with dinner.

We had the fake and cheese sandwich (portobello, peppers, onions, and cheese on a baguette), penne pesto, and sweet potato fries. All were delicious! Very good quality food paired with delicious wine? Can't go wrong with that!

For beer, cider, and lovers of other libations, there are other options. We need more places like this in Silver Spring!

John Fahey burger was great. And that says a lot... because I don't like bleu cheese... I had split the burger with my boyfriend, and that amount of bleu cheese was the most I could tolerate and yet still enjoy (surprisingly). The wine-marinated beef patty was delicious. I normally find beef patties pretty dry and bland, but this beef patty was rich and flavorful with the sharp taste of wine (and bleu cheese). Mushroom mushroom burger was quite disappointing. It wasn't flavorful, and the bread buns simply overpowered the taste of the mushroom. We could barely taste any mushroom... Eggplant

We have become huge fans of Locavino! Great selection of local beers, ciders, and wines. The sliders are out of this world, cheese board impressive, and the flat breads are terrific. Two thumbs up from us!!

Locavino is a relaxing wine bar that offers the same vibe as Adega Wine Cellars & Cafe, the restaurant that previously occupied this space. The menu consists of a selection of burgers, salads, wraps, flatbreads and a nice selection of wine that you purchase by the glass or bottle. You can sample wines before you buy them. Food and drinks are 25% off Mondays to Fridays from 4-7pm.

This is a great place to catch up with friends and try a new wine. The food is average, so I wouldn't recommend coming here just for the food.

Thanks to Yelp for helping me find this hidden gem. After a screening across the street (also thanks to Yelp) we wanted a glass of wine and a snack. A bit of searching with the interactive map and there it was. It's an oddly shaped narrow space overlooking Veterans Plaza. A counter in the back, with a blackboard listing the day's wine and beer pours, a small wine and beer store to one side heavily curated to local products, and a few tables.
We ordered sliders and temperanillo wine, generous pour and very good quality especially at the $6 price point. The sliders, 3 for $9, arrived at

Perfect combination of wine store with small cafe. Wine selection is really good considering that's MoCo - kudos to the owners. It's like Fenwick Beer in the wine world. Portugal wine from here serve as a great combination with lamb stew from Whole foods.
Please note that the parking is limited and you have to deal with all shoppers coming after groceries.
As a bonus if you dine in you get a view of the ice ring and street performers in front of Civic building.
