Services
Since its inception, NFF has gone through many changes, but our mission has remained the same. In 1998 founder John Nichols, who was paralyzed in a 1988 water skiing accident, saw his dream become a reality. During the 10 years prior to the formation of NFF, John consistently studied and researched exercise equipment that could be used to benefit and maximize the potential of the physically challenged.
In March of 2010, Shelby accepted an offer to manage the NFF gym. While he was excited to put his background as a physical therapy technician to good use, he was also nervous about being able to meet the needs of the neurologically impaired clientele. Never one to back down from a challenge, Shelby has mastered the role of Fitness Director during his 6 years with NFF!
We are here to encourage the restoration of health to those in need. However, because the organization is run 100% on charitable donations and fundraisers, a $30 donation is expected from each new client (effective 10/15/2015). We accept credit cards through this website. You can also donate with cash, check, or credit card at our gym.
Membership to the Neuro Fitness Foundation is open to individuals with neurological challenges to meet their fitness goals to maintain a healthy lifestyle. The membership packet consists of a few pages, including a physician's release. Please don't provide us with your personal medical information as we do not need them.
Volunteers contributed to success of NFF. We highly value your time and efforts and are not able to conduct many fundraising events and programs without your help! Whether you want to volunteer to use your skills or to develop a variety of skills, to meet new people or to reap the rewards of lending a hand by better serving our community, we need YOU!

Yeah, they're a great group. Shelby is awesome at encouraging and guiding you through the process of establishing a workout and helping with the machines. They have a new updated facility that is really open and great!
Nice job Guys!
