Yoga Mat is a yoga/movement studio situated in an old laundromat in the quaint, beautiful town of Tivoli, 20 minutes south of Hudson, NY. Since day one, our goal has been to bring the fun and excitement of fitness to the local community. Aerial Yoga for kids is a great way for your child or teen to achieve the mind-body benefits of a traditional yoga practice.

An introduction to yoga poses with step by step verbal descriptions and demonstrations that will be combined to create a gentle flow class. This beginning level class is designed to develop awareness of alignment and basic ballet vocabulary and technique.

From aerial yoga and hot yoga to gymnastic ring, kettlebell, and jump rope workouts, we offer a diverse array of group classes designed to accommodate all fitness levels.
Aerial Yoga for kids is a great way for your child to achieve benefits of traditional yoga. They will stretch, spin, flip while suspended in an aerial hammock. This yoga class for children offers strength, flexibility, relaxation and breathing exercises which lead to body awareness. There will be some Yoga games as well to make it FUN!.
This class is for those adults with prior flamenco training. Students will improve their technique through exercises and choreographies of different palos. A dance movement and strength building class where you will be introduced to basic bellydance technique and learn fun dance combos. No prior experience is needed for this class.

A nourishing mid day practice to get your body moving and your blood flowing; this class will combine classical yoga postures with creative movement, meditation and breathwork to both ground and uplift you.
We will focus on general physical preparation(GPP), training aimed at raising one's fitness using bodyweight, kettlebells and gymnastic rings. Simple exercises, simple programming, easy strength. Experience a full body workout with your own body weight using a system of webbing; a suspension trainer, to challenge your body from head to toe.
