Barefoot Yoga Studio
Yoga has been a fundamental part of my life for nearly 20 years. My style of yoga is fun and funky. I teach people to let go of their judgement over their bodies and learn a new way to approach the ever-changing nature of the body, breath, and mind. My own body has sustained many injuries and loads of punishment from running and being young.

Lol! From my own experience, I teach, you the everyday person, how to love the practice of yoga and how amazing it can be for you throughout the future. Come join me. We will laugh together! Hello fellow yogi's! I'm Molly, I moved to the Charleston area from New Hampshire, where I studied the philosophy and history of yoga.
Services
You see them smiling at you as they walk around the room or demonstrate poses, but do you ever wonder what your yoga teachers are thinking? They're not checking you out to see how flexible you are (or aren't): If your teacher is looking at you, it's not to judge whether or not you can straighten your legs in Down Dog (so don't quickly press your heels to the floor if you catch a glimpse your way!).
All students can pay when they get there before or after class with either cash, PayPal, or Venmo on-site. Please note no cash is carried by the teacher so bring exact change please. Every class gives a detailed description of what we are practicing and what skill level student will like the class.
Yoga is a practice of creating flexibility, learning to focus on your breath, and finding a quiet state of mind. Below, we have tried our best to describe the style of our classes and what you would experience. Gentle movements that help you feel better. We will explore a range of postures that offer you the time to breath and let go of the physical tension that you are carrying in your body.
We know that your yoga practice needs to match your budget. So we have a few options to make yoga accessible for you, but also provide the challenge of regular yoga practice. Our yoga subscriptions are available for purchase through our online platform at moxie.xyz/hellobarefootyoga. We offer Monthly Unlimited, Weekly Unlimited, Video On Demand and LIVEstream subscriptions to simplify your practice.
You can rent a 35-45 minute instructional yoga class in each of our current class descriptions. If you're not sure whether this class is for you - check out our class descriptions here before renting my video. My style is slow. So you can get the most out of learning the basics to yoga. If you enjoy our rent a class videos, join our monthly membership and get full access to our Video on Demand and daily live yoga classes.

Barefoot Yoga Studio is the absolute best!! Masie, Molly & their amazing team offer a wide variety of classes for all levels. The classes & studio culture are extremely accommodating and inclusive - Barefoot would be a great place to go for your first yoga class as well as for the advanced yogi. I've been practicing here for over a year and wouldn't go anywhere else!

What a gem! I was looking for a place to practice while visiting my family in SC. The heated slow flow was heavenly and the warm welcome I received upon my arrival and throughout my experience was just the icing on top. I will be back!

In regard to the owners post of my previous review, it is a complete and blatant lie. Why in the world would I start cursing someone out over a yoga class? I appreciate the response a year and a half later. I just wish it were true.

There's just something about Masie. The way she talks to students, the way she grows new teachers, the way she sets up the space. It's not like any other yoga studio.

The space: Absent are the mirrors at other studios that tempt you to look at your body and compare it to others; in their place is the warm wood of the beautiful old space, and the calming tree and drishti painted on the walls. Masie and her staff are the ones to correct your alignment with a word or gentle touch. That way you stay focused on the practice and don't get ripped away by the outside world. The space also

This studio is my home away from home. Masie and all her staff member are SUPER
are friendly, knowledgeable and genuinely care about the well being of the students. The schedule changes monthly, has convenient class times, and there's something for everyone! The studio is always so clean, and inviting. Lots of smiling faces, lush green plants, hardwood floors, and walls of the classrooms are covered with hand painted murals. I started practicing yoga with Masie in September 2017, taking classes and attending workshops. I decided I wanted to furthur my own practice so I enrolled in the 200 hour

This place is wonderful! Went for the first time today and did hot yoga with Beth and had an incredible experience. She really encouraged us to find what felt good for each of us! The atmosphere is also just as amazing. The beautiful hardwood floors and all of the live plants make this place feel less like an industrialized, standard yoga place and more like someone’s home you’ve been invited into. I’ll definitely be making this a regular thing!

Never have been to a yoga class or even tried it at home. Had my first experience here and it was absolutely amazing. I felt very welcome the whole time. The instructor, Macey, was very sweet, made me feel at home, and was very informative with the positions, as well as the practice of yoga itself. She made me feel accomplished and did no show any signs of judgment at all. The atmosphere is very relaxed and makes you feel secure and happy. I will definitely be coming back. So happy I found this place. Also very affordable.

Still a great studio. Price for drop in classes are increasing to $15 this month though. $17 with a mat. New increase is on par with the majority of studios. Miss Gaea Yoga Studio and there $5 drop in classes in Mount Pleasant. Totally worth the drive. Looking for a similar powerhouse experience and variety that was offered there, but Barefoot is still a great place. Check them out.

I love this place. The only tough part is the accessibility. There are few weekend classes and as a full time worker I can't wait to see more class options. When I do get to go to a class, I love each and every teacher and am now enjoying yoga with Erin on Saturday mornings. It's peaceful, a great work out, and reasonably priced ... at least for the Charleston area.

I made the trek from Summerville to North Charleston to try out this studio in this quant and trendy new area and I found the studio to have both of those qualities too. Kendall's Basics class was only my second yoga class ever and from that one amazing exhilarating experience I've become a devout follower of the practice. Kendall's upbeat character and challenging poses made for a wonderfully unexpected experience. It was so pleasant that I hoped from shop to shop to take courses with Kendall. Patience. Upbeat. Delightful. Encouraging. Peaceful. Glorious.

I have just recently found barefoot yoga studio. Let me start by saying I had very little previous experience and Masie made me feel comfortable and welcome. The few classes I had at other studios pale in comparison to the awesome teachings at barefoot. Masie keeps everyone flowing yet we are all free to move at our own pace. The classes also have a great variety of poses and Masie's knowledge of body mechanics is phenomenal. There is no pressure and the overall feeling and experience is like taking yourself to the spa for an hour of self indulgence. Its the perfect break for my day. Thank

I love this little place! The instructors are really sweet and give you a great class. I think the schedule has a lot to offer for everyone - no matter where they are in their practice. They are super accommodating if you have special needs or wants (a benefit of a locally owned place!) and it's in a cool/quirky space. I love the old hardwoods and double room of the studio. I've done two classes so far and can't wait to do more! And they even gave me some delicious green tea at the end :)
