In 2009, Kevin took a leap of faith and followed his true passion by enrolling in NPTI (National Personal Training Institute) to complete his NSCA (National Strength & Conditioning Associate) certification.
During his training, he discovered the versatility of kettlebell training and pursued a Level II certification through the International Kettlebell and Fitness Federation (IKFF) as well as his StrongFirst SFG Level 1. Seven years later, he and his wife are taking another leap by founding Spark Fitness.

Far and away the BEST gym and fitness coaches in the Monmouth or Ocean County areas, joining Spark Fitness has been a game changer for me both physically and mentally! Coaches Kevin and Robin walk you through the proper form of every movement and focus on technique while building strength and conditioning your body; this isn’t the sort of gym where people are recklessly throwing around weights and injuring themselves. Every workout is thoughtfully designed and delivered, and it shows! You’ll never feel bored or underwhelmed with a workout here, you’ll be learning new movements all the time

Spark Fitness is a one of a kind gym! I have been an athlete my whole life and work out best when others push me and help me become better. This gym is where that happens day in and day out. The sense of “family” that is seen here is incredible and everyone guides, pushes, and brings each other to the next level. I have been with Spark through both my pregnancies and was able to work out, feel good, and have the modifications needed. I feel stronger than I ever have and give all the credit to what takes place each day at Spark! It’s an amazing place and could t imagine myself being anywhere

I have been a part of Spark for almost 2 years. I have been an athlete all of my life and need a place that challenges me. Having been to many gyms in the past...this is the gym that pushes me to go out of my comfort zone and become stronger than I have ever been. The trainers offer incredible guidance, are very knowledgeable, and make it a fun place to be. I would not drive 20 minutes every morning if it wasn’t worth it! Love this gym!!!

My home away from home! Kevin is always designing workouts to challenge us & keep it fun at the same time. I work evenings & Spark is what helps me out of bed in the morning knowing I am going to get an amazing workout it. I’ve gone from Gym to Gym, cf box to another, in shape and out but never have been able to stay on track... that is until I found Spark Fitness! Thanks to Kevin and the trainers at spark I can honestly say I’ve stayed on track and consistent for almost two years! The unique workouts and attention to detail make me come back each day!
