Whether you choose a group class or a private/duo on the Pilates reformer, you will enjoy one of our supportive, highly trained instructors who will work with you to improve your strength, posture & flexibility. After 50 years of intermittent back problems, I found most new exercises caused problems.

I was scared to start Pilates. Thank goodness I did. Chris was so helpful, monitoring me closely even in a group lesson and suggesting modifications to suit me. A couple of years later, I am in much better shape, feel stronger and have a more resilient back.

At Westford Pilates & Yoga, our aim is to bring mind/body balance to the challenges of daily life. Our instructors are passionate about helping you to stay active no matter what your ability level. Whether you choose a group class or a private/duo on the Pilates reformer, you will enjoy one of our supportive, expert instructors who will work with you to improve your strength, posture & flexibility.
For now, take a class from the comfort of your own home with our virtual format. Sign up for a class, and we will send you a link to a Zoom 'meeting' where you can watch and follow along with one of our instructors. Once we are back at the studio, know that we are committed to offering a friendly, welcoming environment where you can learn and perfect movements that will keep you going strong.
Private & duo session workouts are customized based on a postural and strength assessment and designed to address your specific goals. We primarily use the reformer, a Pilates apparatus that consists of a sliding carriage rigged with springs, bars and straps. On this apparatus, you lie, kneel, stand and sit to exercise in all planes of movement and to challenge the core in different ways.
Stretch and Tone at the Barre offers exercises that integrate elements of Pilates, dance, and strength training! The pace is dynamic and energetic. You will use light props at the barre to strengthen the core, legs, glutes, and arms. Plus we incorporate dynamic stretching to improve flexibility. Build strength and flexibility with a mixture of Pilates, barre, and resistance exercises.

This place is a gem. Super comfortable environment and welcoming of all levels - I have been going to Westford Pilates for 5 years now, taking both private sessions and group classes. It's been transformative. I started rather out of shape - lots of back pain from a weak core set of muscles and I was so tight that I was afraid I would injure myself at the gym! Chris is super aware and observant of people's goals and limitations and customizes a workout that WILL work for you at a comfortable pace that will keep you coming back for more. Fantastic experiences! A longtime Pilates enthusiast and fitness class goer, I just moved to the area and have found the perfect environment and support with Westford Pilates. Professional and inviting, the classes are sure to focus on the subtle and not so subtle techniques of Pilates in a mind clearing, focused, and all out pleasant humor. The instructor is great about providing well timed cues, describing forms, and gently and discreetly correcting positions when needed. I've been going to Westford Pilates for about 3 months, and can't say enough great things about the instructor Chris Kandianis,

She's incredibly patient and has worked with me to help strengthen my core muscles to alleviate back pain. During our sessions she is constantly trying new things to help me get stronger while being sensitive to my individual limits.

I know I'll continue to improve as I continue to work with Chris in the future.
