Avoid Steve Mandel Law Firm At all costs. You will be victimized. Big sales pitch to get your money, then they do nothing. Their negligence in filing papers etc results in making your case worse. Then they ask for more money to fix it.
Steve Mandel is nothing but a liar, claims he knows your judge (he doesn’t), So he guarantees a successful outcome.
You will end up in a worse legal position than you were in before you hired him.
Steve Mandel is a fraud, after he gets your money there is no communication, he does no work, and he made inappropriate advances. He got caught double-billing, charges

I called to seek a consultation as I am in the processing of hiring a new attorney for my family law case in New York City. Over the past two years, I have spoken to or "interviewed" roughly ten different attorneys. When I called The Mandel Law Firm, I was told that a consolation was $200 to $300 depending on whom I sought. That is atrocious. No other lawyer in my experience requests a fee for a consult or "meet and greet."
It really lowers this esteemed vocation. Can you imagine the bills that follow such an obvious show of greed?

Mr Mandel and staff are an absolute godsend. I never had to deal with the endeavor of having a divorce. I went into it with uncertainty and fear. My ex wife had made many false claims that would not only tarnish my name but also potentially affect my future. With such an emotionally stressful event, I had to find the best. Mr Mandel is that. Mr Mandel found the contradictions in my wife's allegations and promptly changed a one sided battle into one in my favor. I couldn't have been happier with the outcome. I've posted before but the owner keeps asking for it to be taken down. We hired Craig Hanlon through the firm. Hanlon would not show up to court and asked for things the court couldn't do. Mandel was aggressive so out of fear of retaliation, yes I have to use an alias on yelp. This man is a crook who takes advantage of people in horrible family situations.

Steve Mandel is an attorney who goes out of his way to provide concise and realistic answers to all questions relating to family law and divorce. He worked with me to execute a separation agreement with my ex-husband in the most expedient way possible. We achieved this without hassle, without creating extra cost, while devising a peaceful agreement. As an aside, years later I had a car accident that resulted in a law suit. When I called Steve for a recommendation he told me, "You have a lawyer. It's me!" A few emails later the case was settled and again, money was saved. Thanks Steve!

I emailed to ask how the process for a phone call to indicate whether they covered my issue. I received a nice email back telling me the pricing for an in depth consultation or giving me to option to ask an attorney a few questions (for free) to see whether the firm was a fit for me. I called per the email and someone very rude and unhelpful answered the phone and refused to help me unless I fork over $200-$300 for my questions. I figured I would email back since this person was clearly not component. No response. I found someone else - we are in NYC after all. Too bad they definitely left an awful
