Please the only thing that I want is to have a cleaning building, Me I don't wait for the cleaning crew, I do it myself the laundry room, the court Yard, the blue trash can, also I clean the two garages. Free of charge. PleasePbrinbback

I had lived at 300 E Tujunga Ave Burbank (Downtown Burbank) for about two years and enjoyed my stay at that complex which is clean and quiet with a great location - close to freeway/grocery stores and within walking distance to nearby restaurants. The manager Laura is helpful, responsive, and efficient, taking care of my requests very well. Although I don't know other properties of Bur-Cal Management, I would definitely recommend 300 E Tujunga Ave Burbank to anyone.

I lived in a Bur Cal Property for 10 years and they were wonderful. On the few occasions I had trouble with something (my bathroom flooded and they were out to fix it within 20-30 min on a weekend!) they took care of it quickly. I had an on site building manager and that helped a lot. They were also very kind and understanding during the recent Covid 19 nightmare. I highly recommended them.

So far, my wife and I have nothing but good things to say about this company. From the start, we've been treated with nothing but respect and professionalism. We've worked with Derek, Taylor the "baby-carrot-king", and Bob, and have nothing bad to say. They all seem like super nice people. The application process was smooth and comprehensive. They took the time to answer all of our questions and make any modifications needed to the lease and apartment. All apartment repair requests have always been handled very quickly.

I saw a cute studio in Burbank that wasn't going to be available untill may 15th, which was totally fine didn't mind waiting. I went in and filled out my application with Derek, two days later he called asking for my withdrawal records. I said I sent you my proof of income and he explained they need to see what I spend. Of course I said absolutely not, that is none of your business and has nothing to do with my income being able to support the rent. I asked him to ask the owner. Then either the next day or two days later I get a call from a guy named Austin. He said Derek is no longer

I have been living in a Bur-Cal Management apartment for just under a year now and I have nothing but good things to say. Every step of my application and move-in process was seamless and Jeff was extremely helpful and informative. My building is very well maintained and any issues that have arisen have been dealt with in a timely manner. Do not be deterred by the negative reviews. My experience has been very positive so far.

Only move into one of their buildings if you can lock in a cheap lease. Otherwise, stay away. Lest you like seeing your "managers" once a year and constantly having your laundry room flooded or slept in by homeless people.

If you want your rent to constantly go up look no further. Also maintenance request are a joke it's going on 10 months waiting for the wood rotted threshold to be fixed. They have come out twice to look at it and never returned.

Recently moved into a Bur-Cal Managed apartment. We initially worked with Jeff with leasing & the rest of the staff at the office has been really nice. Our apartment complex is always so clean & the landscaping is so pretty. So far if we've had any issues (hot water wasn't working, garage key mix-up) it has been dealt with promptly. All is good so far!

My boyfriend and I just moved into a townhouse under Bur-Cal Management. Originally, I coordinated the viewing of the unit with Jeff, who is absolutely the best! We loved the townhouse as soon as we saw it and were able to be the first applicants later on that day. From day one, Jeff was fantastic about communicating with us quickly and answering all of our questions. On our first week in, there were a few minor maintenance issues with our first time use of things, which is pretty standard. Jeff and the office team made sure that maintenance came by THAT DAY and fixed the problems immediately.

Very lousy company Bob is the rudest guy at bur_cal. He will not pass down maintenance calls which causes lots of problems later on they are always under staffed with older guys who take all day to fix simple stuff they never clean the building at 241 I always see Rats and Cockroaches on the property I asked them to put traps but didn’t help at all overall not a comfortable place to take residency at I’m moving on at the end of the month for much nicer area and much newer and better building for just a bit more than what I’m paying which is awesome

It's really difficult to work with a company that is not personable, belittles your intelligence and remains inflexible. The lack of emotion and initiative of their establishment is really just disgusting. I will say the basis of this review is my interaction with one representative from the company. I can't speak for all of management, but having this one bad interaction with this person was enough for me to form a negative opinion of this business. It only takes one bad person.

They have decent apartments but they are all super overpriced and have misleading descriptions - for example

241 e alameda ave burbank is the worst place to live it's managed by bur cal management and they don't care or take pride in what they do I've been living here for a long time and they used to be on top of things long time ago but it's been a couple of years that they don't care anymore and they ignore the maintenance and repairs as much as possible which is terrible and since burbank doesn't have rent control they raise the rent whenever they feel like it . It says on my lease that I get 2 parking spaces for a 2 bedroom apartment but I don't the parking is not

I thought I'd warn other people about Burcal as I see others have.

I'm looking for a new place to live, so I contacted a guy named Jeff at Burcal who sounds like a stoned dude-bro. We made an appointment to meet on my lunch break from work.

The morning of the appointment, I called and texted three hours beforehand to confirm the appointment, but got no response. That being the case, I did not show up to the appointment.
I then got a call from dude bro asking where I was. I let him know that I tried to confirm but never heard back from him so I didn't show up. He seemed baffled

Poor landlord tenant skills. They will 60 day you if you so much as make an ounce of noise! But expect your rent in a timely manner. They have roaches and can never get rid of them. Just poor management plain and simple. Also they fire there corporate managers (as if they need them) who evict people for no reason!!!!! This company also will charge you a cleaning fee NO MATTER WHAT so don't waste your $$$$ on a move out cleaning! They'll claim to have had it cleaned again!

Most landlords/management companies are terrible. They don't care at all about their tenants or the neighborhoods they service. And don't worry, Bur-Cal is no different! I've lived in a Bur-Cal building for over 2 years and haven't been impressed. I'll give their maintenance crew a bit of credit - they are fairly quick and the guys I've dealt with have always been polite. But Bur-Cal doesn't do anything in the way of preventative maintenance - nothing will be so much as glanced at until it totally breaks. Some routine checks of appliances, fans, or window seals

I have a feeling that a lot of the people giving Bur-Cal bad reviews have never dealt with, like, actually terrible management companies.

We've lived at a Bur-Cal apartment for over a year now. Every issue that we've come across, broken air conditioners, bad wiring, plumbing issues, etc., Bob from Bur-Cal always send a guy at the very latest the next day, even when it's super busy, they fix the issue very efficiently and discretely while we're away, and then never try to blame the issue on us. This is the kind of business you deal with because you have to, not because you want to. In two years of interactions have I seldom encountered anything approaching kindness or concern in any of Bur-Cal's representatives. They are in it for the money, and every interaction is transactional and impersonal. At each turn, Bur-Cal makes it clear that terms will be to their advantage and your disadvantage. When they sent us a note asking for the rent, we paid that amount. Three months later they realized they'd put the wrong amount (by $35) and charged us an extra fee, plus threatened us with eviction

This is my only Yelp review and I'm doing it just so other renters know to STAY AWAY.
We currently live in a BurCal apt, have for over a year.
Recently, our downstairs neighbors left and new ones moved in. They smoke like chimneys on their porch directly below us and the smell leaks into our apartment. Management said they'd send out a "notice," but nothing has been done for over two weeks. They also said they'd send workers to caulk our floors to prevent smell leakage, no word for over two weeks.
What they did have time for, however, was a notice that we need to vacate

Worst experience EVER in searching for an apartment. We looked at 3 of their buildings in the Burbank area while looking for a new place. Across the board we experienced rudeness, miscommunication, and unprofessionalism by their staff.

I could go on with specifics, but the point remains the same - these people are the worst human beings I've encountered in a long time. I've been treated better at the DMV.

I'm so glad we found a place elsewhere and don't need to deal with these people anymore!

This used to be a great management company. I lived in an apartment building they managed for 6 years, then left and came back in the same building for another 3.

They are less responsive now. You had to email, call a few times to get the response you need.

I moved out in December because I got a house. While I understand that in my lease terms, I will be charged a cleaning fee. But what I didn't expect was a $30 charge for "administrative" fee. There was nowhere in my lease agreement that I will be charged that fee. I was more irritated when I found out that they started to adopt

I've been living in the same apartment for over 3 years now. I haven't really had any major issues, anything that has been a problem was quickly addressed. Messed up garbage disposal? Maintenance had it taken care of next day. Toilet issues? Handled within a day or two, no issues happening again.

The only thing that bugs me is the laundry can be wonky, stuff like a washer or dryer not working properly, but they usually have that handled by the next time I have to do my laundry. What would be really cool is if they switch from coin-op to something I can use a card with, such a pain having
