Actually cried when I left. Pretty sure I had the best spot—second story overlooking the pond in the back. I've lived in a lot of apartments in Ypsilanti over the past six years and this is one of the best. Definitely gonna miss it!

During a heat wave they had 7 air conditioners fail and the maintenance only had 4 windows ACs and refused to buy more. They let the other 3 apartments heat up into the 90s and didn't offer any alternative, voicemails ignored. They still want full rent.
Its just not worth it, don't do this to yourself.

I've been here for 32 years, I have seen mgmt. come and mgmt go, I guess it is possible being here for 32 years this coming October. Chestnut Lake is a nice quiet place to live. A house will only be a home if you make it to be. And that I did, If I had to change anything it would be that the ones that have dedicated half their lives to live in one place in one community for as long as I have and a few others, should be valued. their/our time to mean something for mgmt. I will agree with one review, they have went up so high on the rent, and the amenities doesn't match the cost. If you want to be

This place is okay if you need a semi-decent apartment in Ypsilanti. I haven't had issues with maintenance or broken appliances. But parking can be a problem after 5pm. There are also a ton of geese, which isn't the apartment's fault, but it makes going for a walk outside difficult. There are not many amenities when compared to other apartments. Overall, this was a decent place when I moved in, but if you want to spend a little bit of extra money I would look at other apartments that have a few more amenities and where parking isn't an issue.

As a current tenant, I wouldn’t classify the counter space as “ample”, but more so “feasible”. I also disagree with the size of the pool stated on the site. The photo displayed gives a false impression due to the angle in which it was photographed. Also, with the rental rates currently established, set to climb with each renewal, I question why the property do not offer a fitness center?
Summer hasn’t hit yet so I am unable to update my review on the smell that lingers around the property as a result of tenants failing to pick up behind their pets.

I would give -0 stars if I could. This is truly THE WORST place Ever to live. First off management is horrible, the rent was raised but yet they still fail to meet tenants needs. Maintenance is lazy and they don’t do anything they hardly fix anything right all they do is ride around on their carts all day and do nothing. The living conditions of these places are HORRIBLE, HORRIFIC AND HORRENDOUS! There are bugs EVERYWHERE. There’s ants, roaches and bed bugs. The ants and bed bugs are the worst. The ants are EVERYWHERE. I have had to replace food from my cabinets and they even were in my refrigerator
