2. Security cameras on all entry ways, hallways, entire parking lot, fitness center, gate house, and office! We are THE ONLY community in the Ypsilanti area that offers these types of security measures. 8. Easy rental payment options! We have a drop box, online payments, or use your credit/debit card in the office FEE FREE!
9. We love your furry friends as much as we love you! The Red Lion is a pet friendly community, but make sure you see management for rules and regulations! We're only two minutes from I-94 and EMU Business School and five minutes from EMU's main campus and Depot Town!

I lived in The Red Lion from 2015 to mid-2020. It was my first apartment and was a pretty good choice! Due to price increases, distance from my SO's work, and the size of the unit we decided to move.
Benefits
- Friendly staff who are willing to work with you to solve most problems
- Competent, friendly, timely maintenance
- Deposit was returned in full (I patched holes and deep cleaned - the carpet was not perfect but it was also used when we moved in)
- Allowed residents to pay with debit card without fees
- All utilities, aside from electricity, are included.
Drawbacks
- The gate. It

I rented here for about a year and only left due to change in location for school. I very much enjoyed my time at the Red Lion. Rachel, the manager, is very friendly and welcoming. The maintenance staff is also great, they work hard and quickly resolved the single problem I had in my time there. I lived on the second floor and had no issues with noise from those above, below, or around me. This is a great community to be a part of!
Also some of the reviews state they "try to screw you out of your deposit" but I did not find this to be even remotely accurate, as I received mine in its entirety

I stayed at the Red Lion for almost a year. The only reason for my move is neighbors, and noise issues. The leasing office (Rachel especially) has been more than accommodating in working with me to resolve the issue in every way possible. Posting fliers, contacting the suspected residents, and more. When that didn’t work, I was offered to move to a different unit, free of charge, or terminate my lease early, also no charge. I’ve never had a manager who was more accommodating and caring, I felt my problems were listened to and taken care of to the best of their ability. I was kept in the loop

The complex was great when the old management was there, when the new management arrived things changed. The office does nothing but the bare minimum, Rachel is heartless, lacks compassion, and empathy and others in the complex have said the same. The ground level apartments are mice infested and they don’t do anything to fix the problem other than setting a few traps. Before we left I was catching upwards of 4 mice a day. A good portion of these 5 star reviews come from management promising laundry cards or other incentives. I’d avoid this place at all costs. The price and location is great

Mixed feelings about this place. It has its ups and downs. The pros were: the location, outside appearance of the apartments, apartments are spacious, added security/the gate(when it works) and the pricing (when I moved in that is). I lived here from 2014-2016. I moved out because of the many cons. For starters, the parking was absolutely atrocious. If you did not get home before about 6 or 7 p.m. you would not find a spot anywhere near your apartment. I was pregnant the second year I lived there, and there were times where I was at almost 9 months pregnant and had to walk all the way from the
