Alta Surf Apts

My wife and I moved from New York to Myrtle Beaah in September 2020. Our initial impression is that the the property is well cared for. On the first day, we reported a problem with the kitchen sink. It took only an hour for maintence to arrive and make the repair. This was not a response for new tenants. Prompt attention from management seems to be the norm here.
On-site amenities include a swimming pool, a billiards table, an exercise room with modern machines, shuffel board and access to a computer room.
The cabinetry is birch. They are apartment grade which means good, but no bells and whistles

The atmosphere is so warm and comfortable, office staff are amazing, and their maintenance staff is always quick and courteous.

Amazing apartment complex! Front office is really responsive and friendly. Great maintenance team that’s responds quickly. Definitely recommend. Great rent prices too!

THE BEST APARTMENTS I HAVE EVER LIVED IN! It's a quiet, exceptionally well managed community, with brand new apartments! The price is affordable for the QUALITY. Alta Surf provides everything residents need and beyond: laundry, pool, car washer, etc. The apartments itself are cozy, clean, and convenient! One feature that really sets Alta Surt apart is the staff who CARES about people. We are about to sign up for our 8th year and have never had any problem that was not resolved. The old and new staff have always been caring and professional. We love the office and maintenance crew, if you have a problem they can't help you if you don't let them know!!

Apartments are great....at first. Then things start breaking down. They won't fix them. They never replace carpet and or clean them. Mosquitoes are EVERYWHERE!!!!! You're literally attacked out here. They never have it sprayed. You pay so much only for the manicured property. The apartments are just above basic. We don't even have granite counter tops and we are paying upwards of 12 hundred.

Do not move here is you ever want guests to visit you. Very very very limited number of visitor parking spaces and super quick to tow. They will tow you even if all visitor spaces are taken and you park at the office with a note. Avoid this place.

Wonderful staff and surroundings. Love walking my dog and grounds are always clean. Pool area is fabulous with a spectacular grilling area. ALl public facilities are well kept. Great community events as well. I recommend this complex to everyone!

I lived at Alta Surf for over a year and had nothing but positive experiences! The staff was always super nice (especially Janee & the brunette) and I loved how pet-friendly the community is. If I didn’t have to relocate out of state I would’ve renewed my lease....I miss the pool parties!

Great apartments and the colors are so cute! Dogs are welcome and they have waste garbages available! Took a tour with Janee and she made me want to move in immediately, phenomenal lady. What a lovely place.

I have lived at Alta Surf going on 3 years now. My family and I have enjoyed every part of Alta Surf from the grounds, community feel, staff and amenities. They have monthly events to keep things interesting and it allows you to meet more of your neighbors. The pool is our favorite spot! I know a lot of people complain about there being no playground however I rented here knowing that and it hasn't been a problem for us! We take advantage of all the others things they do have. I feel safe and its great to know I'm coming to a home each day that is taken care of and maintained. I totally recommend

Worst management I have ever experienced. They lack professionalism and or experience. They are vulchers.
I lived there for five years and heard complaints from former residents I became friendly with several neighbors they were charged excessively for normal wear and tear of the carpeting ,improper spackeling ,painting ,cleaning etc. They claimed small trivia issues to glom your security deposit. It wasn't until I moved they pulled the same trick with me.
You can pretty much kiss your security deposit goodbye. In addition I received numerous harassing letters while living there on

Apartments are nice, however they're a bit on the expensive side. Maintenance used to be amazing and then it went through a lull, but is decent again. They want to charge the residents $30 per blind, to do a cosmetic change, and if your new, it will reflect in your rent. The place is pet friendly, however the cost for having one here is pricey again. The #1 complaint is that the parking is beyond unreasonable. People are having to walk 2 and 3 buildings away because they won't enforce the parking rules. The old staff was very rude, but I haven't had much interaction with the new ones but they seem

Have not moved yet but I will say that the leasing office is incredible excellent customer service and support. They have gone out of the way to help me through my move especially MELISSA she is fantastic and caring.
The grounds are well maintained outside building's are clean and the big plus you can walk to several stores including the supermarket. The apartment prices are very affordable priced and I was paying over a 1000.00 a month for nothing at my last apartment. Here I am paying less and have a garage for my car plus a ton of amenities.

Let me give any family with kids a HUGE warning stay as far away from Alta Surf apartments as you can!!!! Not kid friendly at all! I live there for 6 months and have a 10 year old son. About 3 weeks after we moved in everyone in the complex received 7 pages front and back of NEW RULES. Rules included Kids cant play in the grass and couldnt play in grass around pool. Bikes, sckateboards, skooters are not allowed ANYWHERE ON PROPERTY. My son stayed in his room all summer because he was unable to do anything outside at Alta Surf where we lived. Couldnt wait to get out of this place it was horrible

Club house is nice, grounds are clean, here is the catch. If you use the pool and invite family alta surf will tell them to leave, only allowed 2 people. They actually told my family and I to leave and go home, it was my mom, sister, and 2 younger brothers. If you plan on moving out before your lease it will cost around 3,800 dollars. Yes that is correct around 3,800, and then expect a bill for 200.00 dollars 2 months after you leave for damaged property you did not damage.
