Joseph Pilates was a visionary who created a method for health and fitness that encompassed more than just exercise. His method was intended to create better health by encouraging us to live intentionally in body, mind and spirit. The mission of Evergreen Pilates is to heal the body, mind, and spirit through the power and presence of movement.

Evergreen Pilates is a member of the Pilates Method Alliance, an international, not for profit, professional association dedicated to the teachings of Joseph H. and Clara Pilates.

Pilates is a safe and effective whole body workout practiced by people of every level of fitness and age. Everyone including athletes, weekend warriors, actors, dancers, new mothers, and fitness enthusiasts benefit from Pilates. No matter what your objective, Pilates will help you to feel more rejuvenated, relaxed, and increase your overall confidence and comfort in your body.
How is Pilates different from other exercise programs? Unlike other exercise programs, Pilates helps you do everything better. Whether it's walking, dancing, skiing, playing golf - Pilates improves all movement. Pilates sculpts your body by working muscles evenly and uniformly. The end result is long lean muscles that are flexible and strong.
I have been taking Pilates classes once a week for one year at Evergreen Pilates, and my results have been dramatic. Applying my new understanding of 'core' muscles has improved my golf swing speed by 10-12% and has allowed me to swing with greater ease and consistency. As an avid rock climber, I discovered Pilates as the ultimate cross training exercise.
I had my grandson here for a spring break holiday and took him for a ski/ride school last weekend. He is 9 and has been eager to learn snowboarding since he was five. Since I was up there I decided to try downhill skiing for the first time since 1986. I took a lesson on Saturday and Sunday. My pilates really kicked in for me.

I can never say enough good things about pilates in general and Evergreen Pilates in specific. After being a long time runner, I started pilates 5 years ago when my PT said I should no longer run due to disc degeneration as well as a family history of scoliosis and osteoporosis. It has literally changed my life! The small class sizes and highly trained teachers allow for individual attention so each student's experience is maximized. I am so much stronger, and more flexible then I ever could imagine, and a body with balanced strength and flexibility is less likely to be injured. Thank you Lauri

I am a long time gym rat and stated Pilates on the advice of my sister-in-law and I wanted to increase my range of flexibility in order to compensate for too much time spent at the computer. I have found that Laurie and her team are attentive to my personal needs while providing expert instruction to the classes. This is very reassuring and I always come out of class feeling about 2 inches taller and stronger. The classes continue to help improve the range of motion in my foot after surgery.

Evergreen Pilates offers unmatched Pilates instruction. I have been doing Pilates with Lauri and her staff for six years. Evergreen Pilates has literally changed my fitness level by providing me strength, flexibility and the removal of pain from injuries sustained as a gymnast and long distance runner. I highly recommend Evergreen Pilates for any fitness level, as a way to take your own fitness to a higher level and enhance your life in every way.

I have been taking classes at Evergreen Pilates for about 2 years, and have tried almost everything from Barre, TRX, pilates and reformer. I have loved every class I have tried and appreciate all the different variety of classes they offer at this studio. All of the instructors are wonderful, but I love Carol....she is fun, knowledgable, a great motivator and always makes you feel welcome.

Evergreen Pilates is an amazing Pilates studio. The staff is very well educated in teaching techniques and can easily adjust exercises for all skill levels. Additionally, they offer TRX and Barre classes which provide a great opportunity to test other exercises that you may enjoy and mix up your normal Pilates routine. I really enjoy my private lessons and look forward to continuing to improve my health and fitness with their support.

I've been at Evergreen Pilates for many years. I am constantly amazed at the level of dedication that the instructors exhibit. They understand the human body and its strengths and weaknesses I have never felt like just another number in class. They individualize the group classes to each one in the group. Pilates here has kept me strong and made me aware of how to use my muscles to move throughout my day.

I began Pilates a year ago with no clear idea of what Pilates could do. Starting with private lessons was the best move I could make. Several injuries and surgeries had made me fearful of attempting "new" activities. The teachers at Evergreen Pilates are ever-attentive. They are patient and encouraging. Their expertise is phenomenal. I have literally become addicted to moving my body in healthy ways. I am beginning to develop better musculature, posture and stamina. I love that the classes are small and very personal.
