Baker & Cook
Jen has dreamed of her own bakery space for many years. After a complete extended renovation they are excited to bring quality breads, pastries and coffee to the community in a relaxed, comfortable atmosphere. With over 13 years of experience in Sonoma running the Harvest Moon Cafe they are bringing a casual neighborhood bakery and cafe in Boyes Hot Springs.

Their principals and goals to work with local, sustainable ingredients to create the best possible products for their customers will remain an emphasis through their menus. Nick and Jen are graduates of the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, N.Y., where they met.

Came up for a wedding and wanted to give this place a shot. Absolutely screaming. Ordered the butter croissant, Nutella Donut, Smoked Ham & Cheese sandwich with a latte.

Croissant was gone in a matter of seconds. Sandwich was made to order and was delicious. Nutella donut had to be shared it was so rich.... and delicious.

Best spot for coffee in the town of Sonoma. Tasty, beautifully plated, and reasonably priced menu, excellent baked goods, and a cute market with provisions including pastas, tinned fish, wine, oils, picnic faire. Go support them!

I have been twice. Both Fridays. Pastries undercooked or so overcooked it was awful. Coffee is the worst I ever tasted. Had a avocado on toast that it was so burnt it was unedited. I have gotten ill both times I have gone. Would never go back.

Did not disappoint. Amazing bites and coffee! We can't wait to go back when we're in town. What a gem in Sonoma .

Sorry to report that for lattes and croissants this place is more style than substance. Overly foamed milk, bitter espresso, and big floppy-not-crispy croissant that is more bread-like than pastry. But very cute, minimalist, photogenic, and all the other ways that make my hipster heart sing.

Fantastic all the way around. Great friendly service and great food. Had the croissant sandwich and the biscuits and gravy and both were excellent and fresh. Coffee was good too.

Awesome spot. Everything on the menu is phenomenal. We had the French toast, avocado toast, and salmon bagel. Don’t hesitate. This place is a hidden gem.

I had no idea my life was missing their beignets until I discovered them this past weekend! I will be back for certain to have more of these, as well as try out their other pastries and delicious looking brunch options.

Best avocado toast i've had in a while. Very well seasoned and the toppings were just right. The bread was also very very good - the perfect vessel to hold up the generous servings. Coffee was also very good and they had other pastry options that tasted just as great (lemon bars were so so good, if you like it crisp and tart like i do).

Definitely will be my go-to bfast spot when i'm in the area. They have a nice, big outdoor seating with heaters but parking can be a problem as it is very limited when the restaurant gets packed.

This place--were it to be located in The Square or any other more accessible location-- would make a killing with locals and tourists. Guaranteed, there would be a line out the door. As much as I would not want that, I certainly would consider it worth waiting-- just for the $10 homemade bagel turkey sandwich, which you'd know as soon as you tasted it should be worth more. The croissants, the desserts, the breakfast plate-- made with quality ingredients and special attention -- are better than any others you'll find in Sonoma.
Check it out. Till then, we'll keep enjoying this hidden

Baker & Cook is my go to when it comes to pastries, I just love their croissant in particular, it reminds me of home (Paris). Also their latte and mocha are great too. Treat yourself a good breakfast, go to this place!!!

We special ordered a pumpkin cheesecake, 2 dozen rolls, a cream pie and a pumpkin pie from Baker & Cook for Thanksgiving. Everything was delicious except for the crust in the pumpkin cheesecake was rancid. Even the cheesecake itself was delicious but just the crust was bad. The taste of something being rancid is very distinct and 10 of us tried it to be sure. I called them the next day and they asked me to bring the cake in so, I did. They told me the owner would call me. The owner call the next day said it must be my personal flavor preference, she refused to acknowledge the crust was bad

Baker and cook is one of my favorite places in Sonoma. I normally go her for breakfast pastries and bread, but their food is delicious! All their food is high-quality, made with fresh ingredients. They also have the best croissants in town. You can't go wrong with anything you order there.
The staff is also very nice and super helpful. Highly recommend!

The food was superb and very fresh! The lemon cream cheese was not overpowering and added excellent flavor to the bagel sandwich. Outdoor dining was nice and the staff were very friendly.

The best combination of casual and fancy. Everything was delicious and fresh. Turkey bagel sandwich is above average, and the pepper salsa with the polenta entree is so good. Coffee is excellent!

Is there a sixth star? Food and service is top notch. You usually get one or the other but not here. Best espresso in town and Nico doesn't burn it, guaranteed. Alex is a gem too -- great food, try the egg bites if they don't sell out. Gluten free stuff is tasty too. Closed Monday and Tuesday, so don't cruise over and be disappointed!

Waited 45 minutes for our food that never came. No apologies, just an excuse and we'll just refund you.

We went yesterday to grab some pastries togo and decided to order from their breakfast menu today & eat there before we headed home. We placed our order, paid, got our numbered flower vase to place on our table and found an empty table in their patio area. My husband got his coffee right away. 25 minutes rolls around, I start noticing people who came after us getting their orders. My husband went to ask about our orders and we were just told they were making it. Another 10 minutes

Simply the best breakfast spot. Couldn't get enough of their iced chai, and anything we ordered for food was amazing every time. Their patio is beautiful, and the staff is very friendly. We went there 3 times, and it was the standout spot for us on our Sonoma trip.

Cute little breakfast spot in Sonoma! There's a great patio seating area out in the back, so you can order and eat your food outdoors (great for COVID).

We came before having to drive back to the Bay Area--food is great and service is quick. We ordered:

- Roasted pork breakfast sandwich with kimchi & coleslaw
- Quiche
- Morning bun
- Iced latte with oat milk

Everything was really good! The roasted pork sandwich had so much flavor, and we could easily share it between two people. Given that, ordering the quiche was a good contrast because it was very light and almost served as a palate

What a great little bakery and savory goodies shop! I have driven by here so many times! On our way down to the Marin Farmers Market on a Sunday morning. We saw they were open and decided to finally try it and I am so glad we did!
We had a wonderful lemon ginger scone, crispy on the outside, big chunks of candied ginger and a real lemon flavor as well. We also had a savory croissant filled with ham and cheese, the croissant was as good as anything I have had in Paris! The other two items were the goat cheese and pear galette and a beautiful Brioche filled with raspberry jam. Utterly delicious

Not only does this business share my values of inclusivity and diversity, but, it also is owned by one of the best bakers and pastry chefs in the country.

You can't go wrong with anything here - whether it's a pastry, baked bread, or a bowl of yummy soup.

I also love their pop-ups at the farmers market every Friday.

Large selection of menu items including breakfast, lunch, and baked goods. The biscuits and gravy is delicious. Drink selections include coffee, smoothies, and CBD bottled beverages. Staff is kind and passionate. Fingers crossed they open more outdoor dining space for the warmer seasons.
