Founded in 1909, the Branford Yacht Club is located near the mouth of the Branford River. The marina consists of five docks and twenty-three river stakes that can accommodate yachts as large as sixty feet. The club offers membership to those residents of New Haven County at least twenty-one years of age.
The beautiful buildings and grounds are meticulously maintained by both the members and the staff of the Branford Yacht Club. In addition to expertly maintaining the facilities, our staff also tends to the gas dock. Whether you are a member or a guest of the Branford Yacht Club, we hope you enjoy your time with us! Welcome to Branford Yacht Club!

When our founders met on the porch of the Branford Point Hotel, their discussions often focused on plans to organize a club that would encourage the art of navigation, the advancement of aquatic sports, and gather together yachtsmen into a common interest association. Herbert Smith became the first Commodore (1909-1910).
We, the undersigned, hereby associate ourselves as a corporation without capital stock, under the laws of the State of Connecticut regulating the formation of such corporation, and for that purpose we sign, acknowledge and file for record this certificate.

I made a reservation on Dockwa and stayed here for one day. We were put on a dock at the north yard. Itβs a long walk from the dock to the clubhouse, bar, heads, etc. If I had known my slip would have been so far away I would not have stayed there.
The club seemed nice but we were too far away to take advantage of it.
