My twin 7 year old boys just finished their first session at Camp Manitou about a week ago. They can't stop talking about camp!! They loved it SO much. Their counselors were amazing, and they made lots of new friends. I was so impressed by Camp Manitou, their staff and facilities. My twins are definitely going back next year.
Update: My twins are now 9 and just finished their third summer at Manitou. It just keeps getting better and better each summer for them. They literally talk about camp in some every day. I can't say enough great things about Camp Manitou. It is top notch!!!

Went here in Aug 2016 for a wedding. Let me tell you, the staff is AWESOME! The venue is suburb. The setting is beautiful, the bathrooms were super clean, and the the twin beds were very comfortable. I generally do not sleep well away from home. Night #1, I was passed out cold. Soooo comfortable. The outdoor continental breakfast was great. My only concern (for others) was the amount of bees (looked like yellow jackets) during a couple of the breakfast sessions. They loved the sweet pastries. LOL! Bring your eppy if you are allergic.

One of the best camps in the US, without question. I spent many happy summers at Manitou, and now my son is a camper there as well (along with many other second and even third generation boys).
For kids who would enjoy playing sports all day, and making lifelong friends, Manitou is the camp to choose.
