Great family of instructors! A place where you will learn more then just marital arts: culture, language, and confidence. Our 7 year old daughter has been in the explorers defense program for the past 7 months and she has grown leaps and bounds. Eloy and Ervin have created something more than spectacular with their martial arts academy.

These people are the real deal. Not only are they masters of their craft, but they have a unique way of making you feel like you belong. I've looked at many martial arts schools and I've tried a few of them, but this school was hands down one of the best schools I tried. We recently enrolled our older two into muay thai kickboxing at Impact.
Services
Ervin Quintin is praised as one of the best technical instructors in martial arts, personal development, leadership and defensive techniques in Virginia. Sport sciences have researched that exercising two times a week proves to be one of the best schedules we can follow for our overall health. Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is a self defense system and combat sport that emphasizes ground control, healthy lifestyle activity and champion level mindsets. Muay Thai is often referred to as "The Art of Eight Limbs". It is an art that increases physical and mental discipline through a training regiment that is fun yet challenging. These classes are great for fitness and can be enjoyed by people of all ages. Looking to boost your fitness, strength and power?

The first thing I noticed when I walked into this facility is how clean it is. Most gyms are cluttered, dingy and smelly. This one is neat, well lit and inviting. Then you meet the owners and staff. They are caring and are genuinely interested in your story therefore they are interested in your success. This is a family run business, therefore, as a member of the gym, you have a direct line to the the solutions you may want. Corporate gyms would need a manager to get in touch with headquarters to be able to do anything. This is only one gym but boy is it mighty! Mighty in discipline and community

I was a student at impact from November to June, and have recently moved to Colorado due to the military. Let me tell you, this academy is run like a well oiled machine and there are few places like it. The other academies I have tried out just don't have the amazing atmosphere this place does. Guro Ervin, the owner, continually pushes to better the academy and students, whether he is pushing out an Academy app that tells students everything they need to know about upcoming events, or pushing the students harder than ever in preparation for a big tournament.

You also learn about life, which

My family, especially my son, LOVES Impact! He’s 5 years old and has come out of his shell more since he started training here. The staff is very friendly and professional. I would recommend Impact Martial Arts Academy to anyone of all ages!
Update: since my original review post, Impact has continued to impress me! The staff is amazing & I love that it’s a family oriented community. I’m seeing more initiative from my son at home and at school. His confidence has increased from his first day.

This is a great place to involve the whole family not only in a variety of martial arts but as members of a Tribe. This is a family run business that caters to all age groups and all family backgrounds; it has been a great experience for our family not only with skills acquired and opportunities to improve oneself but with relationships made. I always feel I am part of a family; one that encourages personal growth not only in martial arts but life in general. This Tribe seeks to enhance and impact the whole person and not just a skill set. I recommend Impact Martial Arts without reservation.

I started here about 2 years ago ( I took a couple moth break because of COVID) I started back again and I decided to share my experience so I can have more peers. Impact is a great place to train and teach yourself or your child discipline. It’s also a family owned business with very qualified instructors. The coaches are very caring and check up on you if you look down. I learn a lot at impact and I guess the only down side is that the lessons aren’t fast paced. We spend a month practicing a topic and that’s good to practice and really get a subject down. For me I get bored sticking to

A lot of positive and encouraging vibes at this establishment. No experience required and there is no judgment here! Great place to work on your fitness, learn self defense, or just want a new hobby in your life to make you better overall. Also, Impact has a great schedule for classes. I work full time and go to school full time and Impact is one of the only gyms that I looked up that provide different and flexible times for Muay Thai. The coaches are friendly and provide quality support starting from the front desk to the owner and everyone in between that help run that place.

When searching for place to start my martial arts journey walking into impact just gave me a warm feeling. Impact Martial arts is family oriented, you're not just a student you are part of a tribe. I study to arts here and from the beginning to now I can say the best are here. The detail they put into training to the welcoming atmosphere. Even in a full class they make sure to get to every student that needs help and able to give you the personal attention you need. There are no cliques like other schools. The coaches to other students are all welcoming. They offer a variety of arts and all the

There is nothing negative I can say about Impact Martial Arts Academy. We looked at multiple gyms before deciding to go with Impact. You instantly feel welcome and Coach Sarah is always there to help. Our kids became stronger and more confident the more they trained. Coach Geno is a great teacher and highly recommend him and the other coaches. If you're looking for a tribe and a place that can make you or your kids better physically and mentally, Impact is the place.

My daughter was enrolled in their Brazilian Jui Jitsu class for about 3 months prior to the pandemic hitting. This is a family-owned business and they are just absolutely fantastic. Prices are reasonable and their instruction is superb. Due to my child having a co-morbidity (asthma) and the nature of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (lots of close contact and wrestling) I've decided that it is not the right time to go back, but when the country has the pandemic under better control, I've discussed with my daughter sending her back to her Jui Jitsu class. If I could afford for both of us to attend

Took my 5 year old daughter in for the trial. The instructors were very informative and knowledgable. They were all very good with kids, and made it fun for her. They not only teach technique, they also teach values, good behavior, discipline. She was very hesitant going into it because she thinks it's not a "girly" thing to do, but by the end of it she loved it and needless to say we signed up.

Great place; great classes; friendly people! They have an awesome community of you're looking to train BJJ, Muay Thai, or Kali. The shop is clean and has a hangout area if you have someone waiting for you. The location itself is really convenient: right next to the grocery store and Planet Fitness.

I've been training here for a little over a year now and it's always great to want to keep coming back to a gym you feel at home with. For Muay Thai and BJJ I've been blessed with very knowledgeable and legitimate instructors: Kru Ervin, Simo, Kru Geno, Kuya Trevor, Coach Sarah and Até Carrie are all awesome! I appreciate that they have a curriculum that allows you to not only advance properly but it also gives you the ability to review certain combinations or moves that you may forget as you add to your fighting toolbox. All egos are left at the door and everyone that I've

In all my years of martial arts. I've never seen a program that caters to the children's age range and is excellent at teaching them respect, manners and technique.
I've attended many school and I have never attended a class that has kids just around my age. A lot were mixed with adults. Not here. There are different classes. mui Thai, jujitsu, incorporating Filipino kali, mixed martial arts.

It took me a year of checking out classes, finally finding this perfect martial arts class for my kids.

So I came here for another event BUT I still wanted to review this spot since I was able to observed the culture and the students enjoying and practicing their lessons.

Coming in I was welcome by the sweet owner/Simo (instructor, teacher) and she explained what the students
(young & old)were doing and the different martial arts they teach at their facility. I was especially impressed that they teach Filipino martial arts!! Whaaatt... Filipinos have their own martial arts?!? Who knew! The husband-wife combo are passionate about the art of self-confidence by passing that on to their students

Stopped in the other day to check things out. I watched a couple of classes and I was impressed. It takes a lot of time and understanding to teach several kinds of people. Eloy took the time to talk, instruct and train all of her students so each one understood what needed to be done. Each student not only learned something but seemed to enjoy what they were doing. Ervin taught 2 classes while I was there. The interaction he took with each student was remarkable. The level of instruction was perfect and catered to everyone. Being there gave me a feeling that everyone involved was Ohana. You will

We recently enrolled our older two into muay thai kickboxing at Impact. We had looked around and other schools, but Impact really won over all members of the family. It's not a large school (yet) by any means nor does it mass-produce black belts in record time. However, they will be moving to a huge location soon. Muay Thai kickboxing, Filipino Martial arts (Kali, Escrima, Arnis, & Silat), Judo, and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu are offered here.

Impact really won us over with their family atmosphere. Once you join, you and your family became part of "the tribe". The students and

At the age of 47 I decided to get back in shape. I tried different "programs" and a year later settled into Muay Thai (Thai kick boxing). Since then I dropped about 30 pounds and am in the best shape of my life. I didn't start my training at IMPACT but will difinitely stay there. I travel so I get to train at many different schools when I'm on the road, by far Impact is the best. What makes it the best? It's the atmosphere, it's family friendly, smells good (proffesionally sanitized), clean, quality instruction/instructors, and last but not least Ervin and Eloy
