We at The Field Fitness believe in fitness through teamwork. We understand that although we may succeed as individuals, we can achieve so much more together! At The Field Fitness, we achieve our belief through team-based workouts that encourage camaraderie and friendly competition.

Your fellow Fielders and The Field Fitness Coaches will be there to give you that extra push that can mean the difference between quitting early and accomplishing your goals.We're a fitness studio specializing in helping clientele manage body weight, improve body composition, and enhance exercise performance.
Services
Our program at The Field Fitness utilizes a combination of traditional resistance training, functional training, and high intensity interval training(HIIT) in order to improve strength, performance, and cardiovascular health. We implement science based training methods while focusing on form and technique in order to get results.

I joined a couple months ago and really enjoyed the classes right away.

Pros:
- Fun classes, with different variations to each exercise
- Individual workout stations spaced out from others (masks are always on)
- Music is good and they take suggestions from members
- We clean our equipment and stations after each class
- The coaches are helpful and funny. I laugh out loud many times each class
- They know each person's goals and help you obtain them
- We warm up and stretch before and after each class

I have been in the Field Fitness since June 2021. I really like this place! It has a small size of class, a maximum of 8 spots only. There are separation of each exercising space. Each class is one hour long including high intensity and toning workout. After the class, all the exercise equipments will be wiped and cleaned. I enjoy my time in the Field Fitness!

A great place to get high intensity and strength toning workouts. Very knowledgeable, helpful, and fun coaches. Offered virtual classes during the shutdown, and they are still an option. Has safely reopened with individual workout stations, masking, hand sanitizers, etc. It's gresat to be able to workout in person and feel safe.

Finding this gym 3 months ago is the best decision I made during the pandemic. Within 1 week, I’m already on the monthly unlimited plan.
Coach Justin and Coach Josh are really fantastic people. They know their stuff, always have classes planned, and have built up an amazing community that I draw support from.
Each class is limited to 8 people, each person having their own station always ready with dumbbells, TRX, resistance bands, BOSU ball, kettlebells, mat, and many more. We always have warmup and cool-down stretch. And your fellow peeps are great people, always mask on inside and without

Gained some weight during the pandemic and decided to get into shape where I didn't want to be embarrassed in front of the mirror any more. Went to The Field Fitness during my free trial and fell in love with the program.

The class sizes are small up to a maximum of 8 people per class. Class runs about 1 hour each and there's even online classes as well if you can't make it. The Field Fitness takes Covid seriously by not only limiting the number of people but also distancing everyone so they can have their own space to do their exercises.

I am surprised with the quality of training they have, I been practicing for 18 years and tried many gyms in the bay area. However, I haven’t seen a single gym in the bay area that cares about you as much as this gym. Josh is incredibly amazing, friendly and knows very well all the techniques he teaches you.
I tried at least 10 gyms in the bay area and none i felt I was actually getting any improvement with the practice due to the lack of either experience or they trainer doesn’t care as long as you pay and show up.
The field fitness teaches you every single move 100% correctly that you end

I LOVE taking these classes online via Zoom. They're still extremely challenging and fun, and the coaches keep the class limit small so they can still check your form virtually! You also don't need a ton of equipment, so it's great to do these workouts at home.
These workouts have been the highlight of my day, especially with the stressors of daily life during COVID. Thank you for hosting incredible classes and can't wait to continue working out at the field! I would recommend anybody to try out a class, the coaches make working out fun!

Coach Eddy, Josh and Justin are amazing and have built an incredibly unique studio and community. You’ll be hard pressed to meet more energetic and passionate coaches who try and make working out fun! They tailor classes to individuals of all levels and are great at offering modifications if needed. They are also genuinely interested in connecting with students and their ability to remember everyone’s names is impressive! Even though I moved to the city, I was able to join their online classes after realizing shelter in place was going to go on for months. Now I am not an online workout person

Updating my review to talk about how amazing the coaches and classes have been since COVID.

Classes on Zoom are better than ever. Challenging, energetic, supportive, fun and fabulous, the coaches have created innovative modifications such as using wine bottles as weights, shoes as hurdles, cushions as measurements, and backpacks filled with stuff as a kettle bells. This upbeat attitude combined with a lot of humor allows them to continue to offer effective workouts in the comfort of your home, garage, or yard.

Plus, classes are small so we have become friends - in fact we completed a Spartan

Field Fitness is still open, providing access to online classes via Zoom during Shelter in Place. The coaches are very personable, encouraging, and knowledgable. The classes are small so that coaches can provide attention to detail with form as they guide our challenging workouts for all fitness levels. Highly recommend to continue your workout during this time.

This gym is one of my favorite gyms ever! The coaches are all really great and I always leave feeling good after a workout with them! Everything is online right now because of covid but I'm still able to get a good workout in at home. Even over zoom, it still feels like a tight knit lil community that works out together :) it's really great I'd highly recommend this place!

EDIT: just wanted to add a quick update about the online classes, I know everything that happens online seems subpar to in person activities but these online classes are really worth it. I get just as good of

I wanted to update my review because I've been working out with The Field Fitness for the past few years! I usually drive from San Mateo to go to San Jose just for their class. Why? The workouts are really great, we've gone on an amazing fitness journey with them, they've helped us crush goals (grow abs!), teach us how to properly lift, and well - the coaches make it 10x better!

When COVID started, they pivoted to online Zoom classes. Of course, this isn't quite the same as in-person, but they still keep the class as challenging with items you have at home. I'm still

When I first came to the field, I do not have any goals other than maintaining a healthy weight. As a clueless and casual gym goer, I just like doing things with friends (lol) but I ended up liking the experience. The coaches are really focused on checking your form and they do so in a very professional and respectful manner i.e. challenges you but also recognizes that each person's fitness level and journey is different. I also think that the workouts are meant to educate you ... emphasis on micro steps - small, incremental, daily steps that are you can take towards building a sustainable

Hands down The Field Fitness is the best gym in the South Bay not just because of their effective workout programs but also because of the friendly coaches that will inspire you to meet your goals! I always enjoy the workout routines in the online class, the fun chats and occasional zoom selfies with the coach and classmates after the session! Looking forward to the day when we can go back to the FF gym, do high-fives and compete with the other team again, hopefully soon, when this pandemic is over!

It was tough staying disciplined with online workouts during quarantine, but the Field classes via zoom have really helped me step up my game. The smaller class size guarantees a lot of personal attention. The coaches correct your form and make sure you're feeling each move so it's just as effective as being there in person. I definitely feel sore the next day!
I wouldn't have stayed a member if it wasn't for their personalities and welcoming attitude. They keep it lively via Zoom, and they also offer nutrition advice to help you meet your goals.

I've been going to The Field almost since they opened, and I have never gotten bored. In fact, the more I go, the more the coaches are able to tailor workouts to my particular abilities or push me to the next level.

I love the local business feel of the place too! Classes are small, so we get to know each other and challenge each other outside of class too - I ran my first Spartan Sprint with my friends from The Field! Coaches are available and invested. Nowhere gets me as consistently sore as The Field while also never causing any injuries or pulls. LOVE IT. Clean, fun, always fresh

I had such a good workout here! The coaches are super friendly and have really good energy. The class structure is well thought out. The place is super clean with a great selection of equipment. My legs were definitely sore the next day! Plenty of parking and easy to get to. I like that the coaches keep it fun with playful team names and challenges. Really funny cool down jams too! I'll definitely be back!

A great and fun workout!

I signed up via Classpass, thought that the workout description was pretty good.

Came to Coach Josh's session, he was very friendly and upbeat the whole workout and provided great instructions the whole workout, it felt very involved as he would provide modifications and bring out or put back workout equipment for the entire workout.

Pretty impressed with the workout, would recommend and come back!

Since college, I lived an extremely sedentary life while eating whatever my body desired. I was out of shape and gaining weight rapidly. Like many people, I signed up for a gym membership that I couldn't get myself to use regularly.

I decided to try the field fitness on a whim, and I didn't expect it to have such an impact on my life. I went from hot cheetos on the couch to 8am workouts four days a week. The energy from the coaches and classmates is contagious and completely changed my perspective on exercise. Who knew you could have fun while doing hiit?!

I love the field!! Better than all the other group fitness classes I've tried: Zumba, orange theory, soul cycle, etc. because of the super cool coaches and fielders!

Maybe nothing that hasn't already been said elsewhere, but I thought I'd add my story in case all the 5-star reviews already weren't enough ...

I actually started coming here because of my wife, who HATED working out. The fact that she had been coming here for 7 months without fail, dropped her blood cholesterol nearly 70 mg/dL, and is in the best shape of her life told me a couple of things:

1. They know how to make working out fun and enjoyable, and;
2. They must really know their stuff because she was getting incredible results.
