As a prospective AJ Clarke tenant or resident new to the City of New York, you may find the following resources helpful. Employment letter with salary, position & length of employment (or detailed Accountant's letter if self-employed). Credit check fee of $20.00 per applicant and per guarantor, which can be paid by cash or credit card.
Michael Rothschild has been with the firm for over 30 years and currently serves as Vice President. I have been a tenant at the W87th street rental managed by A.J. Clarke for 3 years. Always pay my rent on time and never receive complaints.
Over the past 6months, they have failed to provide adequate heat and hot water service on a consistent basis. The heat and hot water will go out on average 1 time per month, for a 12-24hr period, without notice or timeline for resolution. They have failed to acknowledge the issue despite numerous complaints filed directly and via 311. The property manager is the true definition of a slum lord, consistently asking for more money with minimal accountability

I found my dream NYC apartment virtually through Eric Svitic. After endlessly searching online for an apartment I came across a listing that matched what I was looking for. As a result of the hot market and Covid, I deemed it unnecessary for me to travel to NYC and potentially lose the apartment. I applied virtually, and within 24 hours was approved! I was nervous about seeing the apartment after applying, however I was pleasantly surprised to see that it was exactly as described in the listing. My super is great and I highly recommend AJClarke!

I lived in 22 Leroy Street for 2.5 years and had a great experience with AJ Clarke! Robert Gordon especially was very helpful during our time in the apartment, specifically when our lease was caught in the middle of the pandemic. He was always very helpful and accommodating with our lease. I would definitely work with them in the future.

We rented from AJ Clarke in the 37 W 72nd building for just a short while, but we loved the building and the people, especially the doormen and porters, who all managed to remember our names almost immediately and made us feel very much like family and not just renters. The apartment was beautifully renovated and we thought it was a great value at the rent we paid. We would not hesitate to come back if we ever need a place in New York again!

This was my first year living in NYC and Robert Gordon at AJ Clarke did a great job in making my transition into New York smooth and enjoyable. My roommates and I were lucky to acquire a nice 3 bedroom apartment right in the heart of Manhattan, for a great price too. Robert was especially quick and responsive to any questions, concerns, and authorizations that I needed (typical response time was less than an hour). I lived in the same building more than 40 years, and once AJ Clarke (with Robert Gordon as my agent) took over the management, the quality of the common areas, the responsiveness of the building super, and the ease of communication improved dramatically. I'm about to leave Manhattan, but it is a very cordial goodbye.

I had a wonderful experience living at 37 West 72 Street! The Super, doormen and support staff were top-notch. And Scott Clarke was very responsive to my needs. I moved here to return to the neighborhood I lived in as a child and - while I had never lived in this building before - felt very welcome... like an old friend.
