Retreat At Crosstown

Do not move here!!!! I’ve been here months and the company just got bought out. They are completely redoing all of the apartment buildings over the next couple months which means that constant construction happens. As I type this, they are banging on the apartment walls, listening to loud music at 7 am. I haven’t been able to sleep for weeks at this point. I even had to buy a hotel room a couple times to escape the noise, if I would have known they would be completely redoing every apartment complex for the next few weeks I would have moved somewhere more established. I am prone to headaches

We are looking for our first apartment and Jamar killed it for our tour. He answered every question we had and treated us like we were long time amigos. You can tell he’s passionate and cares about what he does!

Let me start off by saying WOW Hernando perfection!
I wanted to wait to review until I moved in officially and I can truly say I am pleased with the outcome!
I had a scare that the apartment wouldn’t be updated on time of my move in date and that wasn’t an option for me.
Hernando said he would keep me posted and he did called me and said everything was ready for our officially move in date actually got me the bigger apartment that I wanted and the view of my apartment is so perfect!
So thank you hernanado for making it happen!

I have experienced multiple rain floods and RATS in the one year that I have been here!!! This is by far the WORST apartment encounter that I have ever had. The only reason I could even rate a star is that the maintenance men are nice; other than that, I would NOT recommend this place to anyone. I HATE this place with a passion. Can you imagine falling asleep on your couch and being awakened by squeaks and seeing a rat climbing the wall? I am literally traumatized and have nightmares from living here.

RETREAT,,,RETREAT from this place.. Do NOT move here if you value quality. This place has to be one of the worst apartment complexes. My first day of moving in nothing practically worked. The door entrance area was trashed out. I resided on the second floor and the gate way torn down, talk about a safety hazard. My drier didn't work, washer barely worked. Most of the outlets were out. There was mold all over the ceiling I mean seriously the apartment was uninhabitable. Walking out to your car please be very careful as you get the feeling that something could go south easily. Jamar answered when I called and he went so far above and beyond to make me feel welcome and answer all my questions.
If every apartment complex had a Jamar the world would be a better place. !!! Such a wonderful experience.

If you interested in this apartment complex, Ask for Jamar to be your Tour Guide. This gentleman was beyond accommodating during our inquiry process. He treated my Wife and I like if he knew us for weeks and created a extremely comfortable environment while displaying complete professionalism . He was able to answer questions I wasn't aware I needed answers to. Above and beyond experience. Will be moving into the apartments before the end of the year!

I’ve lived in this complex now for 3 years and it’s pretty great I have no complaints so far! :) Today I had an issue with my rent however, and the nice gentleman Hernando Velez in the office got me out within 5 minutes! He cleared everything up for me quickly, he was very friendly and had a great smile! I definitely feel much better after seeing him ! :)

I’ve toured a few apartment complexes and I have to say that Jamar is the best tour guide! He is very funny and made me feel comfortable. Like a family member giving their honest opinion but maintaining professionalism at the same time. He is also knowledgeable about the different units offered and I’m excited to see the changes that are coming to these apartments!

We decided to live here and the process was pretty quick given certain personal circumstances and Hernando has made it SOOO easy. He is an incredibly hard worker. I'm extremely impressed with his dedication to help me move in a timely fashion as well as making sure all boxes are checked. Very thankful for you Hernando!

Recently put an application to move to the Retreat at Crosstown apartments. Two weeks after putting the application I find out that the apartment rented was in the second floor, and I have problems climbing stairs. I consulted again with Jamar Beville who promptly started looking to help me with the situation. Today he calls me back and give me the good news of an available apartment in the first floor. I thank Jamar for the dedication to help me in this matter and for finding me an apartment in the first floor. Kudos to a great Leasing Professional.

We've paid rent on time every month since moving in. Our whole household got covid and unfortunately we're out of work for 2 week and asked to pay rent late one time. They said they are charging us a $200 late fee for paying late ONE time. You'd think during a pandemic where you are not allowed to work with covid, they would waive a fee one time. $200 is ridiculous and I will NOT be renewing my lease like we planned. Shame on this new manage my company, who already tried to charge me for putting 2 trash bags outside while I was cleaning. Ridiculous.

After a long day of unsuccessful tours for apartments and pretty unhelpful and rude agents, it was so refreshing to have Jamar help us out. Just checked out the other reviews and he deserves all of the praise he gets! He really put a good end to our long day, he was incredibly friendly, welcoming, knowledgeable, and squeezed us in for a last minute in depth tour. He showed us around the whole complex with all of its features, and gave us a lot of information. We truly recognize how good service can make or break a decision, and honestly whether we decide to make retreat at crosstown our new home
