We have been here going on 2 years now and we love the location and amenities. When we first inquired about our unit, Stephen responded promptly, sent us pictures, and we locked in right away because we loved that responsiveness. We feel like we’re definitely paying a fair price for the unit we’re in, and even though we’re paying for 2 parking spots we like the convenience of knowing we won’t have to fight for street parking every night (we would lose anyway to what feels like maybe half the complex working from home). Neighbors that I have run into are very friendly, I love that so many

We have lived here for six years. The staff is friendly and most responsive.
Love being living within 3 blocks of 4 grocery stores, 2 drugstores, 2 pet stores, 2 veterinarian clincs, and many restaurants.

Scheduled an appointment to view an apartments. Nobody would let us in. No one was at the front desk or responding to any calls ! I drove over an hour to view this apartment since I'm moving over to west Seattle and I waited 45 minutes to see if anyone was there for our viewing. Nobody came or even acknowledge us. I even emailed and still haven't gotten a response back. Horrible way to run a business !!!!!!!!!!!!

I wish I had never moved here. This is literally the the most annoying and noisiest complex I've ever lived in, in West Seattle. I'm convinced my neighbors all belong in some sort of wall and floor banging class that starts promptly before sunrise every morning. Even the staff, whom started off so responsive, are now always slow to respond to any requests for information since I've moved in. Its like a switch flipped and I wound up in the twilight zone. And don't even get me started on the constant loud gurgling noises resonating from the kitchen sink at random times throughout

The leasing process is really bad. They don't call you back, email you back maybe one week later.

It is like they don't work at the leasing office and they only collect they payroll.

The prime reason why we chose Spruce was for the location. You have access to Trader Joe's, QFC, Whole Foods and Safeway within 3 to 5 mins of walking time. The C line is a minute away across the junction (we use it sparingly now that there is a lockdown and the bridge is closed). The California Avenue nearby has great food and shopping options and you can always drive to the Alki beach whenever you feel like getting some sea breeze...
The building is always clean and the maintenance team is very helpful. I would like to specially call out Owen and Tatijana from staff who are friendly, supportive

We really disliked our current apartment, so with our lease coming up soon we figured it was a good time to start apartment hunting. We kind of fell in love with West Seattle, and Spruce kept popping up as a complex that checked pretty much all of our boxes. When we requested information they got back to us very quickly. They weren't doing in person tours, but they promised by the end of the day to give us pictures of their 1 bed 1 bath with den and they did. We liked the price, specials, and location, so we applied the same day.

We have lived in so many apartments (lol fml) so we knew exactly

I've been living in the West Seattle area for 10 years and I've lived in several of the apartment complexes in the area. Spruce was a pleasant surprise when my wife and I had our tour. We've been living here for almost a year and it has a lot to offer in terms of amenities, cleanliness, dedicated staff, community, etc.
The biggest selling point for us was the rooftop dog run. We have an active dog breed that needs a lot of playtime. The rooftop dog run is huge! There is even enough space to throw a tennis ball. Additionally, there are many other dogs in the community, so expect to have unplanned

I’ve been waiting to write this review until after I moved out to share an unbiased review.
When I was first considering apartments in West Seattle, I checked out Spruce on a whim - and loved how welcoming and unpretentious the community was! 🙂
The apartments are brightly lit and spacious. The apartment premises itself was very clean and well-maintained. The leasing agency and maintenance staff were always responsive, helpful and friendly. I loved the community web portal - a great way to connect with neighbors. And the location!! A stone throw away from the bus lines, great grocery stores

Great experience from Tatijana, when we were looking for a new place. She was very responsive and clear in their communication during the entire process and brought Owen (who was great as well) in when it came to signing. They were able to set us up to the best of their abilities to be able to safely tour the apartment during the pandemic.
Only thing is once we signed a lot of the "good to knows" of apartment features and "how to get around's" were left out as a result of not having a complete walk through with them, it has been a bit of a trial and error thing to get used to and any questions

I've thoroughly enjoyed my time at the Spruce. I moved here from NYC, and pretty much checked out every single building in the Junction. They all had pros and cons until I found Spruce.

What sold it was:
- Apartment: Giant 1 bedroom with office/den (I work from home), large balcony with city and mountain views, walk in closet, updated appliances, and huge closet/storage with brand new washer/dryer -- for $400/mo less than my shoebox in Manhattan.

- Amenities: When my apartment got too hot or I needed a change, I'd go down to the massive community room (with A/C) and work from there

We have had an apartment at the Spruce for almost four years. The building is so conveniently located with Trader Joes and Whole Foods across the street. There is great food and shopping nearby. We enjoy walking to dinner in the neighborhood, or going to the farmers market.

The Spruce has great amenities that we enjoy including the community room which we have rented for office meetings and parties. We often rent the super comfortable guest suite for our out of town visitors too.

The building is always clean and the staff is so helpful. Maintenance issues are solved quickly and the

This is a fantastic place to call home! We have lived at Spruce for two years and it has been an amazing experience. The entire staff starting with Jamie and Owen and Tatijana are awesome. Jason is committed to making sure that every feature, facility and component works correctly. We feel so safe here. Security for residents is clearly a priority. From the dog run up on the top floor with amazing views to the garage with electric plug in hook ups for electric cars tells you that this is a home that speaks to your modern sensibilities. We love the access to the Water Taxi especially now with the

Spruce Apartments is hands down one of the best apartment buildings I have ever lived in. From maintenance, to management and neighbors everything is top notch. You feel genuinely cared for by the management team. For example during the Covid 19 pandemic they set up a care station with toilet paper, paper towels, snacks and beverages for residents to take free of charge. They also set up interactive monthly events that were careful to follow all the CDC safety guide lines. One such event was a movie night in which they sent out a link in which we all could communally watch the same movie from our

I really enjoy living at Spruce West Seattle! I moved here from Santa Fe for work, and Tatijana was very helpful during the entire process. She went above and beyond to make my move-in as stress free as possible, and I couldn’t have asked for a better leasing agent!
I rented sight unseen, and I was pleasantly surprised when I arrived after a 23 hour drive from New Mexico. The unit itself is wonderful—quiet, nice fixtures and appliances, and a good view. On top of that, the complex has a game room, theater room, gym, patio, and common room with a kitchen and several TVs. These extras will be

Lived at spruce for 6 months. Had to break our lease. While there, loved the convenience and amenities. The use of the community room came in handy for big events we couldn't fit in our apartment. Dog run on roof was easy to get to and our dog often was often able to play with other dogs. Got a little stinky at times, but sprinklers cleaned the turf daily. Great view of downtown Seattle from the roof.

Lived in a corner unit 2 bedroom, was 2595/month with first month free. Parking another 100/month. Apartment was roomy, clean and everything worked very well. The ease of heading down the

Tour only:
On a recent tour, we viewed available apartments with a gentleman there who was ... quite awkward socially. What I mean is, he didnt make eye contact, he walked very fast, he mumbled, he didnt smile, or try to make conversation, etc. All I could think was what a sour taste that left in my mouth when considering a potential place to call 'home.'
In addition to that, we were shown filthy apartments. And for the prices- Id rather stay in Seattle central. We decided it was an unpleasant, odd and unprofessional experience and we would not rent from the Spruce.

We loved living at Spruce Apartments in West Seattle. The staff is amazing and the building is clean. There is a real community feeling here. We had a great move-in experience and it's convenient to The Junction, Trader Joes, QFC, and Whole Foods which is opening this Fall, LA Fitness, plus many other shops. Some advice: 1) rent in the B building b/c the A building seems to get a lot of packages stolen and has more pets in common area related complaints, 2) the back of the A and B buildings are much quieter (especially if you're on the top floor) and the back of B gets more natural light

I am truly very pleased with all the service and amenities here. It’s been so easy moving in and you have just about everything you need including Trader Joe’s and California ave ( a very area with lots of good food). Everything in the apartment is very thoughtfully planned. The apartments are spacious and contemporary. The place is super secure as well. I did my research really well while looking for a good place to stay and although no apartment complex can meet all of your expectation, Spruce has really managed to come closest to what I want and expect. I would recommend anyone looking for

I've been living at Spruce since August 2016, a little over two years now, and absolutely love calling it home.

There are obvious advantages with it's great location near the West Seattle Junction, Trader Joe's, the Rapid Ride transit, Alki Beach, and so on. But the apartment itself is amazing. The staff is always friendly and helpful, quick to follow up on questions and address any issues affecting residents quickly and appropriately. The amenities and shared spaces are well-kept and I've probably only submitted two work requests the entire two years I've been here

This place was once great. When Terra and Damon ran this place it was a fantastic place to live. They were both professional and friendly. It was like the balance you get from a good boss, professional and your boss at work, but when it was time to have fun he/she is fun and friendly.

Well, in my opinion, the new management is not only unprofessional, but also not friendly at all. I have sent multiple emails regarding an issue with a fee and when I asked to speak in person about a month ago, management did not respond. I have followed up a couple of times, but still nothing. I moved into Spruce in August of 2015 and it has been a great experience.

From the friendly staff, to the generous monthly events and timely service, there aren't really any major complaints. We have had a couple of minor appliance issues which the maintenance team fixed without any issues. The common area is wonderful, and everyone that lives in the building is respectful and pretty chill.

It has been really wonderful living so close to Trader Joes, Safeway, QFC and soon to be Whole Foods! Having a secure parking spot is also a huge luxury, living in such a populated area. My commute

I lived at Spruce for 12 months before moving to another state for work. If I could have taken Spruce with me I would have!

The location is great--just a few blocks from the junction (lots of restaurants and shops), right across the street from Trader Joes (and soon Whole Foods as well).if you're up for a nice walk, you can walk a few miles to Alki beach for some great views. It's also conveniently near the West Seattle bridge, so getting to the highway is quick and easy.

The staff was phenomenal. Stephen was also incredibly efficient, super helpful, and friendly. Mary keeps the place

I've been living at Spruce for almost 7 months now and I've been loving it! It's pricey but it's a brand new building and has very nice appliances (i.e., crazy low electricity bill) and washer/drier in unit and beautiful countertops in the kitchen and bathroom. I live in a 1 bedroom + den and it's more than enough space for myself and 2 cats that don't like each other very much, haha. There's also a nice sized balcony and a beautiful view of downtown and the Cascade mountains.

Stephen and the other staff are so amazing! Since the beginning they've been genuine

I can't believe it has already been seven months since I moved into beautiful Spruce!! It seems like just yesterday I was "Freaking Out" over my big move from California to Seattle and facing what I've heard some call the awful "Seattle Freeze" . Luckily my experience so far has been amazing. Terra, Stephen, Jamie and Damon throw the best resident events which has given me the opportunity to meet some amazing people, some of which I now call friends. I guess you could say I got pretty lucky by choosing Spruce as my place to call home.

We really love the management team at Spruce. Terra and Stephen took us through the move in process and are always fantastic!

The common areas are clean and safe. There was a problem with break ins in the garage- but the management team was transparent and proactive about the issue.

Our apartment is on the back side of the building- so it is very quiet. We have had a few maintenance issues- but the team has worked quickly to resolve them.
