I like to think of myself as a reasonable/fair person so this review is coming from an honest experience.
This complex has been a terrible experience since the first day. Don’t be fooled by the model apartment they show you.
When I first moved in, no one took the time to even clean the apartment before a new resident moved in. Especially during the time of COVID. I spent 3 days deep cleaning before bringing in my stuff. That’s how filthy it was. I was completely taken back on how dingy the updates are.
It took over two weeks to get the internet installed because the wires were cut during

Submitted an inquiry for rental availability two (2) weeks ago and have not heard anything back from the Leasing Office. After digging into Google Reviews, I’m incredibly thankful to have read the negative feedback before visiting the Retreat at Farmington Hills. Safe to say that this location is officially off of the apartment search list.

ZERO STARS I have been calling the office for 30 minutes, no one could take my call. So I go in there and 3 people are just sitting there chatting, but too busy to answer the phones? I have nasty notes left on my car regarding parking spaces, so I wanted to discuss with the office staff. The woman was so rude I just walked out. I’ve had maintenance tickets in since October 2nd, it’s now almost December. I guess they are just waiting for one of us to get electrocuted before they come fix the broken light switch. We have been using a camping lantern to light the bathroom so we don’t have to

Don’t move here. Front doors have been locked in my building for the third lease term now. Multiple interruptions while trying to work from home by maintenance/inspections that are not properly communicated.
But my favorite is losing my rent for now the 3rd time and telling me you can’t find it. I still have not received a call back as requested to say they found my rent… the first two times this happened they tried to evict me so guess we’ll see what happens this time 😁

Latisha Springer the property manager is phenomenal and very professional. While I was tenant of this property every concern I had was immediately handled and fixed. We all have issues because they are undergoing construction but I did not feel like my issues were not important or a priority. They even worked with me as my job had abruptly moved me, but I had a overall great living experience.

If I could give this zero stars I would. This is the WORST and DISGUSTING complex I have ever stayed in. 1000000x if you are looking for a place better be sure it’s not here unless you want horrible quality work done, sinks literally falling out of the counter tops and to top it all off the place is infested with roaches! I’d have to say this is the worst most filthy complex I have ever seen in my life and management is just as bad. I have never been talked to so rude in the phone by people. Last but not least need something fixed? Better wait a month or so until after you call. Below are pics

The employees inside the leasing office are rude, nasty and mean to the residents. I currently live here i hate it here. The pics are deceiving it looks very ghetto. The manager ms. springer of the leasing office is rude she's hung up on me multiple times and allowed my calls to go straight to voicemail. All because i called with complaints she didn't want to address There was a shoot out in the parking lot my second week here. They auto renewed my lease and after i had told them multiple times i was only seeking a 1 yr lease. I was even overcharged multiple times living here because management

I have not had the greatest experience. The office staff is nice and tries to accommodate but there are so many problems with the units they can't up. I experienced so many horrible things in my 1st few months I will not renew my lease. Hopefully they are able to fix the issues 1 building at a time so they can fix them correctly instead of rushing the updates and you calling them 3-4 times.

I wish I can give 0. If you’re are looking for apartments that have quite environment this is not a good option for you. The place is look good from outside, but the common area always have some foul smell, walls are thin so you hear what your neighbors are doing. And most importantly the maintenance request will take forever to get resolved.
Have to call in for the request ever single day and say the same thing to different people. The management is not aligned at all. The property manger here is so adamant she doesn’t have patience to listen what the tenant have to say and abruptly hangs

It's going on 2 years in August that I will be here and I love my apartment but the management over this complex is horrid. During this covid crap, the post office is making payments late. Even when the office receives the payment dated as being mailed out by the bank way ahead of time they will still charge a late fee without any consideration. They see the mailed date on the check but still will charge $100. That is low down. I have never been late on my rent, no loud music, no problems and they don't give rent discounts like other complexes when you have no lates. The door buzzer does not work

HORRIBLE.. from the Terrible customer service (especially Latisha’s attitude), the police arresting someone’s almost everyday, the theft and the outstanding work orders. I have called for my work orders MONTHLY and the response is always “I don’t see that work order”. My kitchen and dining room floor has been peeling since I moved here April 2020, I have cut my foot and bled multiple times (including my guests) and still nothing from management. Also please note that the renovation are done so poorly that as soon as you move in everything will began to fall apart from

I moved to Farmington Hills recently and after hunting for apartments for over two weeks, I found The Retreat at Farmington Hills to be one of the most elegant and spacious apartments here. These apartments have been renovated COMPLETELY, so everything is basically new.There is amazing Washer Dryer facility in the apartment, and an open kitchen with all modern appliances.
There is still a little bit of construction left in some buildings, but apart from that, I love it here and would recommend it to my friends.
