We're a fun, SoCal-inspired, neighborhood Mexican restaurant located in Santa Monica Canyon, just a few hundred feet from the beach. Co-Owners Josh Loeb and Zoe Nathan both grew up going to this location in its former incarnation as Marix Tex Mex, and long thought of doing their own personal project in this space.
When the opportunity came up, they partnered with award-winning Chef Jeremy Fox (Rustic Canyon, Birdie G's) and they're now fulfilling that dream. Our kitchen is overseen by Executive Chef Brad Long and Jeremy, whose shared love for great ingredients and passion for homestyle cooking is translated into a menu full of rich, bold flavors and imaginative takes on Mexican dishes.

The Hibiscus margarita was nice and the guacamole. Everything else was thumbs down! It took one whole hour to get my 2 tacos. The carne asada taco tasted like they dipped it in salt! The taco of the day was fried chicken with soggy kale on it. It had a weird taste. How could you go so wrong with tacos? SMH. They ultimately comped a couple of things for us, but that won't make me come back 🙄.

The food was nice the decor is fantastic and it's a great place to take young children. They have crayons, games and books for the little ones. We will go back and try a few different things next time to check on the food again. Great service and a popular spot for locals. Recommendation: make a reservation.
